Very good video and instructions. Saw another video where the stove caught fire when the guy ignited it. From your video, I now see he never seated the canister correctly. Just ordered myself one of these stoves. Thank you for the video.

I own one of these. Perfect when you go out all day cycling and need something small and portable to boil water. The gas cartridge never even gets warm so it is safe to use. You can buy a fold up windshield to put around it for when outdoors too which is useful. Great useful piece of kit for the money and would recommend.

very useful video. just a question when attaching the canister to the stove, is it normal to have some gas leakage until it's fully locked in place? Or am I still doing it incorrectly? Hehe
Hi. Again, based on my experience, the canister doesn’t overheat. I often used this product already and placed different brands of canister and it doesn’t heat up. Instead, it’s cold. Please try it so that you’ll understand. Thank u.
Butane cannisters get cold when the gas inside expands. Thats why the more you use the gas, the more it gets colder instead of hotter. Its a neat characteristic of butane.
Hi isn’t the fire too close to the gas canister? I am interested in this but I am worried about the safety issue related to this. What if you use a pan or a pot on top of the stove and that is hovering above the gas canister. Wont the heat from the pan just above the canister make it a safety issue?
I have been using this for 6 months already and so far there’s no problem with it. Just make sure that you’re not using a defective or very old canister. Also check for leaks before using it. Then make sure that it is properly attached before ignition. -the fire isn’t too close to the canister it has a space provision -using a pan or pot won’t be a problem as I’ve tried it a lot of times already. It has a pan support. If you’re using it outside especially on a windy area, just make sure that the wind direction is opposite the canister’s position.
@@yourtravelpartner6154 thanks for the reply. what I am worried about is the size of the pan and the pot. what if it's wide and comes over the gas canister? Wont the heat from the pan cause the canister to heat up? Looking at the design of this stove I feel only very small pots and pans can be used. There is another version of this camping stove where it comes with a steel pipe and in this you can keep the canister about 30 cms away from the flame which in my opinion is a much safer option. I have ordered this already but I feel the other one is more safer than this.
Base on what I’ve seen, if you fully open the flame adjuster, The fire pressure is strong and not the typical fire we imagine, that spreads throughout the whole base of the pan. And this is mainly designed for small pots and pans especially for hiking, you don’t need to bring heavy kitchenware. Maximum weight it can carry is 5kg. If you are uncomfortable to use it, then choose the one with the long pipe.
My butane cylinder mouth is not entering in the stove hole instead leaking gas so much..my one is lotus type same product updated version... I am so nerves what to do
May binili akong card type gas stove.
Not advisable po. Baka merong mga leak, at kaunting ignition lang, magcause po siya ng sunog. Mag practice nalang po kayo sa pagkabit. Tingnan nyu po yung video ulit.
Well I haven’t tried it yet but then in my personal opinion if water meets butane gas it will just put off the flame. If an oil meets the butane gas, it will still need to reach its flashpoint to form an ignitable mixture and cause a fire. Common cooking oil like vegetable and canola oil requires around 200 degree Celsius to start the ignitable mixture which they also call smoking point. If this is the temperature of your oil and it meets the butane gas, there is a possibility of a burst of flame. But if you are asking if the liquid oil just spilled over to the butane gas it will still take some time before it produces a bigger flame depending on the amount of oil and the temperature that it has. For more technical terms, I am assuming right now that what you mean by butane gas is actually a flame from butane gas, because if it’s only butane gas nothing will happen, unless an ignition takes place to complete the triangle of fire. Thank you.
I don’t think that stove is safe since pans will most likely overhung above the exposed canister and heat it up. It may not explode but it’s just a matter of time. Refer to other safety tips videos.
Theres a reason its called "portable" its mainly used for camping not inside your house,, unless youre cooking with a wok thats already on fire (which is the pinnacle of stupidity) then its your fault that it explodes,, use a smaller pan and small kettle, stop being dumb
Still working fine and in good condition. It depends on how you take care of it. I think maximum use of 20-30 minutes in one setting is recommended. Since the cover of igniter is made up of plastic and there’s a possibility that it will melt if it will be exposed near the flame for too long.
If the igniter isn’t working, you can always return it to the seller. But if you need to use it badly, even though not really recommended, you can just turn the valve open then find a lighter or light up a match for it to work. Just make sure that the opening of the valve is not fully opened, preferably only half turn or with minimal hissing sound so it won’t create a large flame and maybe burn you.
@@yourtravelpartner6154 it did work manually with the lighter but it defeats its purpose of being portable thus inconvenient to use.
