I was born from a very poor and broken family and so hopeless and at 8yrs.old sa pantalan ng dagat in my beloved town in Tuburan Cebu I sat down one lonely afternoon and talk to THE GOD who created the ocean and the blue sky and I said “ THE GOD WHO CREATED THE DEPTH OF THE OCEAN AND THE VASTNESS OF THE SKY IS THE SAME GOD WHO CREATED ME I know I will fly someday like an eagle and reach my highest dreams! From then on I struggled from elementary to high school then college and now I’m 61 yrs. old and a very happy and contented mother of 4 successful children and a very thankful grand mother of 15 and still counting beautiful and GOD FEARING grand children! One of my favourite OPM...This is the sound of clean living - no substance abuse of any kind, at 62, the pitch is still there, a great balladeer and a family man. During our university days, he was the epitome of tall-dark and handsome, a very respectable person, indeed, kudos Marco.

I remember this song very well. I was still in grade school, and I'm middle-aged now. One of the male contestants belted this effortlessly. Young as I was and not having any musical background, Iwas sure that guy would win. I could not remember his face, I just remover that he stood there singing without any fancy movement and the crowds just cheered him on. By the time the host announced the winner and first called in the title of the song and then the name of the singer. He was nowhere to be found. He probably expected too little of himself. But, oh boy, I was just so sure that he was the winner! His voice was a gift. That was something unforgettable from my childhood.

This was one of my dads comfort song when he was battling cancer. This gives him strength and courage and comfort. ThAt was the toughest and hardest three months of our lives, seeing your dad go through that pain. He never gave up, and til his last breath, he was fighting and even waited for us to be complete in the hospital before he said goodbye. He sadly passed away on Feb 1st. We miss you everday pops, we love you!
