Amazing. Ford Focus 2009. Changed the battery on the key fob, but still didn't work until I followed this to reprogram the key. Thank you SO MUCH. (I think I turned it back and forth 8 times, but I might have lost count!)

I was down to one remote key and a transponder only key. Got a spare key fob from a scrapyard and hey presto it’s that easy, I did both remote keys with transponder key operating the ignition. Thanks amd a great saving.

This worked really well for me, albeit on my Focus Mk2 Zetec. Had to toggle between positions I & II (III sparks the engine) and then press the unlock button...hey Presto! Had to do this after replacing a dead battery. Many thanks for the help.
yep me too, although i didn't get the beep after a couple of times, so i dont know how many times i toggled between I & II :) but hey it worked.
good tutorial. This procedure also applies to some other fords of this generation.

Thanks for the video. It took a few tries but it works. You need to go between I and II, not between II and III because III starts the car! My car, a Mondeo, took 5 times to get the programming mode. Then pressing the buttons has to be done right. Definitely saved me a few bucks!!!
Glad it helped. On the C-Max the numbering might be a bit different but remember to do all keys at the same time as it could wipe working keys from the car when adding a new one.
And Fiesta took 6 times to get programming mode.

I love you so much! My fob working, one thing only, made 4 times from 1st position to 2nd position.

This works, just make sure you start the car after the beep. Then test the locking buttons 👍🏻

all works Ford Cmax 2010 - I think I have to do it 8 times ( or may be it's just me ;P )
It might have not recognised some of the turns as they are really close together and a little fiddly… but as long as you got it working then happy days 👌

You were turning it from one to two. Not two to three. Three is the starter. It works anyway. Thank you.
It was actually 2 to 3. You go just past the first point then turn. They are very close and can be mistaken for 1, but dash lights up just past that point. Glad it worked for you. Don't forget to like and subscribe.
