@@hotdogwater7037 News came out today that Wirtz has been super reluctant to make any moves on the coach/GM front bc of money. They inexplicably gave extensions to both Bowman and Colliton and w the Covid $ losses don't want to have to pay money. But the situation may force their hand. As for Boudreau he is old but he would immediately get everyone's respect. And he's made it past round 1 several times. His Ducks took the Hawks to 7 games in the WCF in 2015. Their strategy famously was to just physically beat up the Hawks the whole series. Almost worked.

It's crazy they thought they could get away w all this. Good on the players for tanking so dramatically that they seem to be close to forcing Wirtz's hand. Reports are he is reluctant to fire them bc they both got extensions (why did they get extensions?). But the players playing so bad, the media turning on Bowman/Colliton, and the fans going crazy online, at games, and starting to show up dressed as empty seats for the first time in a generation is causing them some problems suddenly.

I know pro sports is a business and you have to produce but ... that is tough to watch.
And I'm not even a fan of the guy - took over for a living legend and was - in hindsight now - kinda in over his head from day 1. The club's GM thinks he's the smartest guy in the room; turns out he's not ... and he & his pick for HC - pardon the bad pun - skating now on very thin ice.

If you want to feel bad for Colliton go find his old twitter account if it's still up, where he says a bunch of far left drone insanity. Or go look up how he's treated Strome this year. Or how he rewarded the team today w high school style punishment drills in practice, after the whole roster has spoken up in support of his awful self for years.

W an assistant video coach who was even grosser. When word got back everyone treated him w proper disrespect, and then after his career flamed out, this degenerate apparently now shameless weakling decided to play victim and go to court over his degenerate behavior. This assistant video coach had no power over anybody. No influence. He was a nobody in a nothing position. He could not plausibly threaten a player professionally. Nor could he plausibly threaten an adult male hockey player physically. The man is tiny. So - what happened? A grown man gave a consensual bj to another grown man, then regretted it after his workmates teased him about it. It is not Kane and Toews's job to go to HR about the gross private lives of random non-roster Rockford players.
