First Chicago Blackhawks Game at the United Center

- I took my son to his first Blackhawks game at the United Center against the Boston Bruins. He got an autograph from Conner Murphy, fist bumps from the players as they came out for warmups, to see the National Anthem, and an OT thriller. What a great experience! Here are some highlights of our adventure. #blackhawks #nhl #unitedcenter #nationalanthem

Your child will remember this day..trust me....back in 1993 I took my 4 yr old to old Chicago stadium for the last 4 games in that building agent's the leafs..that yr....today he remembers it well..at 31 yrs old then to the first game they played in the UC. And the last game I took in there ..wasn't the same experience..as old Chicago stadium.. the old pipe organ the smell of beer .the stairs going to my seats each game..your son will enjoy this the rest of his life. My son is a hawks season tic holder today ..I'm now retired in FL and a bolts fan ..as well .
I feel bad for the kids that didn’t get to witness the Blackhawks winning three cup
That's awesome! I'm from Boston so I'm glad we won but it looks like you had a great time! First Blackhawks game which also went to overtime is awesome

I remember my first nhl game. it was Bruins (My home team) vs the jets. We won and it was such an unforgettable experience.

I always go to see them play when they’re here in Carolina. Only seen em win once but it was on OT winner from saader. Still, win or lose, love seeing my Hawks
Also, I remember watching this game on TV. The refs were brutal… and it costed us that game. Still, glad you and your son had a great time!! :)

Jonathan Pappas before they moved the horn into the rafters it was very loud, it’s still loud but kinda quieter but if ur sitting underneath it it’s still pretty loud. I’m 4 months late

It was a terrible call. On top of that, we lost in OT. Terrible way to end my sons first game.

I've done well for myself and I'm fortunate to be able to enjoy events like this. I'm hoping to create many more memories like this with my boys as they get older.

@@tdiego5 They can call the building whatever they want, it has 2 names now, just because they dont live in chicago and call it Willis, doesnt meant they should keep calling it that, I'm from chicago and I call it both Willis and Sears.
I've actually been going to Chicago since the 90's. I'm aware it was called Sears Tower and was renamed to Willis. Doesn't really matter to me one way or another, it's the same building.

Chicago Stadium was just better - for me anyway.
I never got a chance to go to the old Chicago Stadium, but I love the United Center
