  • For the first time, people who live and work in east King County will have access to light rail service. Sound Transit just announced Thursday the new 2 Line will open April 27 and will eventually connect over I-90 to Seattle.
It’s a project years in the making, and transit officials say it's about improving mobility and access for everyone who lives on the East Side.
City and county leaders unveiled the 2 line will include eight stops between South Bellevue and Redmond with trains every 10 minutes during operating hours.
It's currently running simulated service before the grand opening, when they expect about 6,000 daily riders.

They messed up the concrete on one station and had to redo the entire thing. So typical for King County: planning by out-of-touch “leaders” who’ve never taken public transportation themselves.

Seattle has arts and culture left? About time the sheltered Eastside gets to be exposed to the mess of Seattle they helped create by booting their homeless and addicts across the lake. Bellevue cops may actually be serious about security though.

Nice idea sound transit, do you wish that you could bring those trains over there anyway and possibly let the homeless come into your city and do drugs and put up homeless encampments all along that stretch between Redmond and Bellevue?
