      Exactly. On top of that, the situation was rife with adverse selection as well, since the banks who were most eager to get these loans were also the most risky, yet the lender (the Fed) couldn’t tell who’s who because of the asymmetric information. The Financial Crisis was an impossible situation for the Fed in many ways, so it was easy time for politicians to make hay with scoring political “gotchas”.

      Linda Doll hey Linda I know your comment was almost a decade ago. Lol. One possible reason the the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Mr. Burnanke, would not disclose this is because the Fed Reserve most likely lent the money to foreign country’s and banks which would not go over well on the American people for obvious reasons.
