This is a scenic section of the St. Croix Segment of the Ice Age Trail.
For this section, the Ice Age Trail hugs the St. Croix River for most of its length after leaving Lion's Park. The trail crosses half a dozen creeks along this stretch. There is one campsite in this section. This is a St. Croix National Scenic Riverway primitive campsite (river mile 55.3). A few beavers can be seen swimming in the river here.
This part of the trail ends at River Road. From River Road, the trail is undeveloped for about the next 4.5-miles until it gets close to the town of Centuria, Wisconsin. At that point it begins following the Gandy Dancer Bike Trail. Total hiking distance for this section was about 1.7-miles. This section of the IANST is part of the 8.9-mile Saint Croix Falls Segment.
