Thank you Martin Scorsese & The Film Foundation for preserving cinema. Thank you TCM for posting this awesome video!
Thank God, now that i'm retired I can really appreciate watching these older films, 1930's-40's-50's, great acting, great storylines...not just the popular ones, but oh so many of the B and C movies, great !!!
Martin Scorsece is one of the great movie director of all the time. The film preservation topic is very important. We all should make a note of it, learning from the past to make a better future.
💙
Thank you Martin Scorsese for great love for film.
0:05 - 0:25/ To think, that strip of film was the result of a bet! Essentially, the bet was over whether a horse actually leaves the ground when galloping at full speed! 🇵🇷🇺🇸😎🤔
Very valuable information!!!
This makes me so happy. I'm thrilled to see what treasures will be restored next. Hopefully these will all get the releases they deserve. Still waiting for so many neglected titles and film makers that are on my mind right now.
GOD BLESS MARTIN SCORSESE!
I find myself wondering why the industry is not mass-scanning their libraries. Digital restoration work can always come later. A mass-scanning campaign, utilizing 8k pin-less scanners, would create many long-term jobs. If you throw video into the mix, tens of thousands of jobs could be created just for digitizing alone.
Because the plutocrats in charge don't see any short-term financial gain it, and short-term financial gain is their only thought.
Thank you so much, Martin Scorsese! 🙏🏻
Martin Scorsese's family has Sicilian roots.
I would say I've probably seen 6 out of 10 of the movies that are in this video.
Does anyone know what movies were shown in this video?
2:40 Can somebody tell me the title of the movie, please? Thanks a lot.
Can anyone tell me the film that plays around 0:53-0:56? After Dodsworth. Nice image of the burning madonna.
