  • Class 66 liveries Over the Last Few Years Filmed by myself...And Before anyone says , Clip 3 - The Black one (66048) is NOT a livery but just sprayed Black, i thought i would include this anyway....

    The large logo blue looks out of place on the class 66. But at the same time it fits it perfectly, its like the livery was designed with the 66 in mind, if only they could all be painted like that!

    I loved this locomotive so much, I have one on my American model railroad (SNCF livery). I imported it over from a model train shop in Europe, as well as a DCC decoder for it. [It’s made by Kato]

    The best two are in 2nd place 779 Evening star and in 1st place 789 large logo blue with black window surrounds

      Tony Lancaster , I totally agree with your choice of the top 2 liveries . Large logo blue just suits all diesel locos , absolutely stunning .

      Liam Tv - read the description- it crashed years ago and is sprayed black and stored there at longport

      Ben Jared it's the remains of 66048. Not burnt, but repainted in black for some reason. Probably cannibalised to keep others working.

    I note wha we4 here in NA what appears to be in the front of theengine centre what looks like what we refern to an MU port for multiple engine multple contro; of multiple engines and yet i see liittle of that even when there are multiple units is that actually used ?

      66048 derailed in 2010 in Scotland. Ended up in trees. I think it was in Stobart Rail livery at the time. The body was stored in Stoke On Trent with the livery painted over with the black you see it in on the vid.
