saw this band live 3 or 4 times in early + mid'70s
a great dance band with deliciously comic songs+spirit
+ one of the rare bands for which energy invested to get near the stage was
very much worth the investment, becuz the 3singers gave great visual comedy
in their onstage presence. By the time. I saw them they were playing large halls
like Winterland, so most of us couldn't tune in to that aspect of the show

I knew Maryann Price (Hot Lick on the left) back in SF in the seventies as well as John Girton his guitar player (I think that is him in this video), they were living together at the time. This was after Hicks broke up the band at the height of there popularity. Good folks, John was a wizard and Maryann killed it. We were playing the streets and the Cannery and had mutual friends. Traded him an ES175 for a truck. Ah Good times. Might be Rob Wasserman in the video, can't quite tell.
