You're not alone. I am another cancer survivor, seven reoccurrences. Had my first surgery for melanoma in 2010. Was then diagnosed with one on my spine and a stage-4 in my liver. A new drug, not chemo, cleared up the liver. In 2015, they operated and took out 2 feet of intestine with eight tumors. The tumor in the spine came back and they tried another new drug and it stopped that. In 2021 I was operated on for colon cancer, stage 1. Most recently it was a melanoma on a bone in my right hip. Intense radiation zapped that. Through all of it I just had the attitude that it wasn't going to stop me. I'm 74 and still work every day, so hang in there. Believe that you will beat it.
As an older guy who grew up in the late 60s and 70s; this is proper, classic, world-class singing. No props, tricks, odd styles or messing about; just pure talent. Great tone, phrasing, timing, breathing; power and soul by the truckload. The real deal. Loved this song since I was a kid and very few can do it justice but this young lady did it with apparent ease. Top marks.

What an incredible version of this song. Everywhere you look there's trouble and strife. It's concerning, and unsettling. Then Lucy sings Bridge Over Troubled Water, and I feel hope again. Jeez the world needs a bridge. In spite of everything there is still so much beauty in it that can be shared. Beauty in everything, especially people. The God-fearing young man who succeeds in winning her love will have a lifetime of beauty accompanying his soul. This was my mom's favorite song as she fought mental illness and poverty her entire life. But Our Lord Jesus Christ was gracious enough to save her and now she resides with Our Creator in joy and perfect peace. May Our Lord Jesus Christ bless Lucy and her family. She certainly has the looks and voice of an angel of God.

Beautiful Lucy. After my mom passed from cancer in 2017, I recorded this song (It's on my channel) and it will always have a special place in my heart. "Sail on, silver girl" was a special lyric since she had pure white hair. She told me of a dream while she was sick. She said we were all in a meadow riding horses. She seemed to be at peace. I put that in the video. TY for this version, your voice is special. ✝✝✝

I used to have a Simon and Garfunkel record when I was a teenager and I used to listen to that song over and over. If you pay really close attention to the lyrics it is like the Lord is speaking to you. He is our "bridge over troubled waters". He is the one that has given Lucy her gift of voice and I thank you Lord for that. Keep using that wonderful gift Lucy.

Lucy, when I was a teenager I was a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan. I knew almost all their songs by heart. Bridge Over Troubled Waters was always my favorite. Art Garfunkel did an amazing performance on this song. I have heard many other artists cover this song, but you have surpassed them all. Protect your voice, because it is a priceless treasure. I don't know you personally, but I love you none the less. I think you would make a wonderful granddaughter. I am sure your grandparents and the rest of your family are very proud of you! Be safe!

I look for this song cover for a very long time cause the old tech recording. Your version is the best in the world so far on both of your voice and the music quality.
If only she could cover the song “If ever I saw your face”. It was covered beautifully by Roberta Flack in the 70’s. Lucy would breathe new life into this beautiful song.

Agreed, Michael! Lucy has the best vocals of any solo performer I have ever had the pleasure of both hearing and seeing and I'm stickin' to it! Lucy has said, many times, that the legendary Barbra Streisand is her idol! Well, she is right there with the legend, just flawless, perfect vocals, ALL of the time! Her musical, "Rosie", will be her crowning moment next year and Planet Earth will know who Lucy is.......no one is even close to her!
