    Tried the 3 sticky note trick right after watching this video. It worked INSTANTLY. We have been struggling with getting my 2.5 year old daughter sleep trained ever since we had my 7 month old son. I could cry. Thank you so much for these tips 💕

    I sleep trained my son 2 years ago when he was 18 weeks old using Natalie’s program. To this day people find it amazing that he’s such a great sleeper. Highly recommend! My next baby will be here in February and we will definitely use the program with her too ❤️

    I’m definitely going to try the sticky note system with my three year old! He’s very attached and seems to *need* me in the room to go to sleep.
    Update: I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and I cannot believe it worked! I have only had to take a sticky note away once and my son got mad about it, he wants all 3 of his notes 😂 he falls asleep within 30 minutes and we’ve never had to shut the door! This has also helped him sleep through the whole night!

    Susan or Natalie- when you first put your toddler down for the night, are you leaving the door wide open? Cracked? Or still closed but just without the plastic knob covers?
    Thanks for all your wonderful advice! ♥️

    I tried this method with my three-year-old who has been having fears and bad dreams. It worked the first two nights like a dream! But now she’s waking up again. She doesn’t have a problem going to sleep. But she gets up between like 430 and 5:30 AM and yesterday it was a really bad dream and she was hysterical so I don’t know how to approach this when it’s so close to her awake time. Any suggestions? I feel bad forcing her back in her room when she’s that hysterical and it’s so late in the night

    Is there a reason why Nikash is in your room and not in his own room? Do you only have 2 bedrooms? If there's only 2 bedrooms, why did you choose to put the younger child in her own room instead of the other way around?

    We lock the door but it's a twist lock, we turnd the door handle around so the lock is on the outside. To kids in one room 2 yearold and 3 yearold. Took 2 yearold out of crib at 1.5 because she's a head Butter and was beating her head off the ralongs

    I am really against sleep training for so many reasons and I learned to ignore all the lies about it but one thing that Susan said in the beginning really bother me - sleep trying is NOT necessarily. And I do not judge anyone who sleep train but remember that sleep training is for parents not kids. The whole “self-soothing” thing is not as dreamy as it seems.

  • @reenythedream5245

    This doesn’t make sense. If cry it out is the only way to sleep train then why are you necessary.when a child can communicate then where are your communication training with your child? How many children have you had and the host hasn’t followed your way at all. This is a joke!! We have to go with our common sense and gently guide our children to there natural state by communicating with that child and stay consistent!! Crying it out is teaching that you have no communication skills as a human and you just ignore your child’s emotions and your emotions and listen to your way and it doesn’t make sense. I raised 4 daughters and I learned to communicate with them and I stayed consistent and I also prayed with them and talked with them .,Don’t listen to this lady . Learn who you are and go on your gut. Turn off the tv and social media and spend time knowing yourself and your children. Trust yourself and your instincts!! You can do it parents!!

    If your toddler needs you at night you should be there. Period. No sleep training will replace a parent’s love without leaving emotional scars later on in life.

    I fundamentally disagree with sleep training. it's just cruel to me. My boy is 22mo and he was NOT a good sleeper until he was 1.5yo. However I NEVER EVER would let him cry himself out to (or back to) sleep. Especially when they are under 1 and have no understanding of what and why this is going on! I would always go and give him milk or cuddle and he would nicely go back to sleep. It built that sense of safety that when he is upset, mummy is there to help. What was the best thing I've ever done was a consistent bedtime routine, which was giving him the signals that it's bedtime now. By the time I would put him to bed, he would curl up in his fav position (awake) and fall asleep by himself.

    • @lazybonesolga
      @lazybonesolga Před 3 lety +7

      not everybody is so lucky, like Natalie said: not everyone has to do it, only those, who have children who are bad sleeper and if parents feel like they need it. Some children sleep really badly. My son used to wake up every 1,5 - 2 hours until he was 11 months old, also sometimes would stay awake for an hour or two at night, crying for no reason, the breastfeeding didn't calm him down. Only when I sleep trained him, he started sleeping normally.

  • @Purplelilac3406
    @Purplelilac3406 Před 3 lety +19

    Ugh this is just horrible. If your child is sleeping badly, there is ALWAYS an explanation and solution that doesn’t involve sleep training. Please just do more research. How these two women are talking about children vomiting to get their parents attention as something “normal” and “common”’is beyond me. Imagine your child being SO distressed that they puke. And your solution isn’t to reduce their stress, but to feed them earlier so they have nothing to puke up? WTF
