Shout out to TK my fellow caddie at Bandon Dunes . Also please play Bandon Trails. That is by far our best golf course. You don't see the ocean much but by far the best shot values.

Just curious but how do you get the strokes gained for each individual shot? That’s something I’d like to know when I play.
The PAR Golf app. After playing when you review the round you can click on any shot to get the individual strokes gained. You can also see it as a table for every shot. Real easy. If you have an iPhone the app is free to download and try. I developed it.

My playing partner gave it to me. I talk over him so it’s hard to hear but he says ‘it’s good D’. Normally i putt everything out in this channel. On this trip the greens were recently aerated and we were generous, so you caught me on that one. Poor form. I’ll be better.

Why are you playing such short tees as a 1? Just due to friends? I don’t believe you had more than a 56° in for the front.
@@RingoDGD fair question. I usually pic the tees that are between 6700-7000 yards as that’s what my flight plays on the US Am Tour. In this case, it was a buddies trip where the next lowest handicap was a 9 so I just played the same tees. We played the same color tees at all Bandon courses and never looked at a scorecard yardage. I didn’t realize until after the fact just how short Pacific Dunes is. I will definitely tip it out when I go back in 2024. The courses aren’t super long. That’s what makes them great. Extremely playable and challenging even with short wedges in.

I'm not. I'm based out of Texas, but I'll be back in the Bend area late August hopefully for the US Am Tour National Championship... assuming I qualify. And I have a second Bandon trip booked for 2024. Would be more than glad to sneak in another round.

Couple reasons. I like making birdies. Had never played the courses and didn’t know how easy they’d play. I was sharing a caddie with a higher handicap and didn’t need the caddie doing double duty. I really wish the courses had an option between 6400 and 7000. Big gap in the boxes.
