My grandparents had the daily newspaper, so I would just borrow their paper when they were done with it to see what me, and my dad wanted to watch on a Sunday afternoon as he was a big movie buff. it was also the days when on Sunday in my area due to blue laws almost nothing but gas stations, and places eat( a lot elected to not open before 1pm) could open before 1pm So it was almost always a 1:30 pm or 2:30pm movie for us on a lazy Sunday.

Don't quote, but think it was a Panasonic model, we also had a Mattel Intellivision which she said cost her $250 USD, while also buying her first house as a single mother on a banker's salary. So it guess it depended on how good your job was, but stuff sure was more expensive back then when account for inflation, but a lot of it was built to last.

13:25 Keith Olbermann as a local sportscaster. This is prior to him becoming a complete psycho!

Do you think you could get away with putting uncut broadcast material from back then on CZcams? Since it’s literally not accessible anywhere else, I’d say you have a decent fair use argument

I believe the biggest sticking point to posting uncut broadcast material from years ago would be objections from the rights holders to the music that would be heard on old broadcasts.

Good observation. I noticed that starting in the late 80s advertisers began using very generic sounding voices on their commercials. And they did sound the same. In the 70s and early 80s, we heard tons of voice-overs by guys like Casey Kasem, Mason Adams and Peter Thomas, whose voices were really distinct.
