I am an Asian from Russia, and I have been a fan of Manny and Freddie since 2003, they are very humble and respectful, they never swore at each other like most boxers and coaches, the boxing world is so boring without them, I miss the times when I followed them, starting from adolescence to 31 years, time has flown by very quickly and it sucks
Tell me about it. I grew up watching boxing in the 70s. I ha5lte to say any era was greater than any other. But his current generations of boxers runs the gamut from the best and fiercest I'll ever see intermingled with all the Instagram models. Stop typing and strat fighting. Nobody worth the salt in my semen gives a fuck about your 0. Just fight.
Freddie and Manny. Best team in boxing history. I don't care what anyone says.
Could NEVER beat Floyd 😅
Floyd run....@@rickyjones7653
Floyd yes but only best runner hugger etc
We love Pacquiao from Thailand 🇹🇭 🇵🇭
Manny loves Tina, the Thai restaurant owner beside Wild Card Gym.
The whole southeast Asia sees Manny as a hero
we love buakaw from Philippines!
Sending love from your South East Asian neighbor, the PH!
Does Freddy have a wife and KIDS?
Manny and Freddie's first meeting was an act of God. They will forever be intertwined.
I met Freddie a few times at the Wild Card, such a great guy. He took time out to sign autographs for me and take pictures. Thank you for taking a chance on Pacquiao, Filipino pride!
He's a great guy and great trainer! Salamat! Love from Australia 👍👌👊
When I first walked into his gym. I felt like a tourist. Scared and unsure. Then Freddy came up and said hi. I was speechless and self conscious. Now we talk from time to time now that Ive been working out there regularly. He's simply one of the most amazing human beings, so down to earth and kind human heart. Love you Freddy!
The legendary duo... Freddy Roach and Manny Pacquiao.. always respectful, always humble, and never cocky.. boxing could use them right now more than ever.. once Manny became a household name he fought anybody and everybody and thats just one of the many reasons real fight fans respect them
Freddy is a gem. He may not be Irish but we hold him as such. Much ❤ from the Emerald Isle from us all .
Who could not love Freedie? He is a very special man.❤
Seeing/noticing pacquiao’s caliber early on when everyone else did not just shows that roach is a true genius at what he does.
Freddy is a guines and a great strategist. Boxing is all he knows from amateur to professional boxer himself and now a trainer. A great strategist for avoiding opponents at their best time. Freddy is the greatest at choosing his opponents at their worst time possible. Sounds crazy however I got the receipts. Try it.
@@ernestocarrillo7 nah you are probably talking about Mayweather, Pacquaio and Freddie did not choose their opponent they always fought the best fighter regardless if they were underdogs even if the chance was low they would take the fight, it was Mayweather who waited for Pacquaio to age before fighting, have you see mayweather do that? nah
🇵🇭AGREE🇵🇭
@@user-hp8zm3rj5k yeah that son of you know who, knows how to DUCK CHERRY PICK, AND FEED PUNKIAO PEDS just like he gave peds to James lights out Tony.
What a fantastic interview pure class. Freddie Roach is an even better trainer than l thought he was.
This gentleman is a Stand Up Guy. Respect. Humility and Courage.
The longest youtube video I've ever watched.. it can turn out into a film. Very humble beginning.
Roach really molded Pacman's way of fighting. He turned a raw pure power Destroyer to one of the greatest boxers of his generation.
One of the greatest to ever lace a pair of gloves up!
@@brendonpotts7961agreed
P4P a true Top 10 GOAT fighter! 🥊
Only top 10 really ? What's the Criteria of being GOAT that PACQUIAO doesn't have ?
@@benjoshd3386 i think he's the goat of his generation.
Thank You lodi coach roach! Won multiple World Titles with Manny. We truly witness a once in a lifetime greatness.
Freddy in the corner with Pacman was pure freakin magic to watch. I'm convinced if there were no Freddy in the ring Pacman may not have been the fighter he became. God puts you where ya need to be and I'm glad he stuck you in the corner so you could develop great fighters. You've done way more than any one fighter for the sport of boxing.
For sure!!
Me and my Brother met coach Freddie 2008 in London Pacman vs Hatton press con. He is genuinely very nice approachable guy.. he signed our head gear and talk to us. The way he talks in this interview. On and off camera he is lovely guy so simple and humble like Pacman. God Bless coah Freddie! By the way you look healthier and younger now..
Philippines loves you freddie! thank-you so much you're such a true legend in the sports of boxing!
The glory days of pacquiao i realy miss those 30yrs 😭😭😭 when manny is unstopable many life is real world fairytale ❤❤❤
Take care of you self fredie from pilipino australian thank you for you and manny you will be forever be remember❤🇦🇺🇵🇭
It's like a father and son between freddie and manny...great interview....thanks freddie for helping manny pacquiao to become one of the best fighter in the history of boxing...🙏
THANKS Coach Freddie for not only enhancing Manny’s LEFT Dexterity🥊🙏🥊
You’ve Made Manny AMBIDEXTROUS
🥊🙏🥊
And TYSON too!
What you learned from Coach Futch, you imparted to both Tyson & Manny which became evident in both Fighters
🥊👊🥊👊🥊
You’ve Proven what scientists declared:
LEFT-handed people have the RIGHT side of their Brain MORE Dominant👊👊👊
For YOUR WISDOM TO TRAIN TYSON’s & MANNY’s NON-dominant hands is SIMPLY SELFLESS
🥊👊🙏🙏🙏👊🥊
I came up in boxing same time as Freddie and while most know him as a trainer and he is one of the best he could fight to. Freddie is a class act. What he and Pacman did together won't be repeated anytime soon. Inoue has same type skills but I don't believe he will move past 126.
Freddie is a good son, a good man, best trainer and made a name of himself from the ashes of life. Thank you Mr. Freddie for making Manny a legend...from the Phillipines.
Excellent interview, the best I’ve ever seen Roach do. And he seems to be speaking much better than a few years ago
His condition looks like it really has improved or at least better managed. Happy for him!
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Must be better meds on the market. I’m happy for him.
I've waited a long time to watch this conversation and soon as I saw it, I loaded it up.
I remember Dan talking about it on his radio show and how fascinating he found Freddie's life and career. And having been a Pacquiao fan since the late 2000s, this was worth the wait! Thanks for posting it!
Shouldnt this belong in a tv?!
@@jeromekim5856 It WAS on TV on a digital cable network (Audience, I believe), but then that channel folded and they stopped making new episodes.
Just be glad we're now getting them all on CZcams for free.
I've been asking for Mr Roach in various social media for this as a book. None of this was my business. What a story. This interview will go down as historic.
As a Filipino i admire fredie roach game plan every upcoming fights with manny, there like father and son,,i love him,i knew they will make it,he gives manny hope to win every fight, and they did it world champions,so proud of you sir fredie mabuhay,,god bless
Freddie really took care of her mother. Heartwarming revelation of the true nation of Freddie. Caring, loving & compasionate. The story made me realized that we really need to take care of our loved ones . thank you freddie. keep on fighting!

You're a die hard Pacman fan to take time to compile this and I am too...but now I dont have an idol coz its different and not exciting anymore.
@@glennelib8731 --- Thank you for the support. Blessings be with you and your family as well. I like the fighting style of Naoya Inoue. And I wish him to be undisputed champion at 126lbs, 130lbs and 135lbs. He's the current undisputed champion at 122lbs, and former undisputed champion at 118lbs. …. I’d say
Freddie been through a lot and boxing history ! One of the best
Very eye opening interview with someone who I never really considered among all the names in boxing. But frankly, the nuance and attention to detail about training a boxer is totally revealed through Eddie's beautifully articulated answers. Dan Patrick did a superb job in teasing out the true character of this wonderful man.
"Eye opening" probably wasn't the best choice of words lol, considering the street fight story.😂
@@shivahuggins1276That was crazy.
Freddie Roach is a living legend. In so many ways. His story is so humble and he arrived to become simply one of the greatest trainers in history, alongside Angelo Dundee. Maybe THE best. There is something about Freddie's CARE for his fighters yet also his ability to almost BE a second brain to these great fighters... how on earth. Such a stupendously good tactician and his analysis of boxing is like no-one else. He turn Amir Khan (for example) into a champion when he probably didn't deserve to be one. Khan Maidana... such a great fight. He protected his fighters with his pure boxing intelligence and intuition and he MADE CHAMPIONS.
Great interview!! 👏
Freddie... One of a kind! Indeed.
Thanks coach Freedie for the inspiration. You’re the realest in the boxing world 🥊 🔥 🙌👏❤️
Thank you Dan Patrick for making this interview with Freddy Roach the coach who shaped the Legendary Manny Pacquiao. The Philippines thank you!
You're great when named a trainer of the year 7 times. Freddie is a very intelligent trainer.
i'm indonesian, i can't hear "distort" english fluently. i always want to hear freddy roach, but it always hard to listen to freddy talk in other interview. But in this interview everythink is so good, the speak of freddy too , i rewind a lot because i like the talks. Thx Audiorama to fulfill one of my desire 🥰
DAN'S analysis of Mayweather vs Pacquiao was spot on. And fairplay for Floyd any way great channel and interview, just saw Manny's working out for the first time since he retired is pretty amazing how rest n time to heal.
Love this interview. Freddy Roach, a great man.
Thank you for having Freddy in your show. And, thank you Freddy.
Great interview highlighting the amazing story of Freddie Roach. BTW Dan Patrick's class is a breath of fresh air compared to the amateur styles of the Joe Rogans, Ben Shapiros, Russel Brands etc etc ad nauseum.
A Legend and an Iconic figure in the sport, an inspiration to human kind. He is special too in his own right!
roach became famous becoz of pacquiao, n manny became great boxer becoz roach fostered n helped him developed of what he is now, they r both humble , never bragged their greatness, living legends !!
I love Freddie Roach. With out him there’s no Manny Pacquiao, these two legends are one of a kind. They deserve it. May God bless you more. From 🇵🇭
Idk why but this interview made me cry man i grow up watching this guy man as a kid in from the Bronx to man today he inspired me in so many ways
I really enjoyed this interview! Freddie is one of a kind! Thank you very much!
What a sweet man. Great interview.
That was an excellent interview. Freddie is such a legend.
Damn that was a good one.Freddie trained my all time favorite boxer the Greatest boxer to come out of Puerto Rico...Miguel Cotto...
I loved Cotto, too!
Cotto was a class act ! And technically brilliant 👊🏻
I'm American and Cotton was good, but Wilfredo Gomez and Tito were the best Puerto Rican boxers in my opinion.
Cotto would have been even greater had he joined Freddie in his prime!
Cotto was awesome. Went to his fight against Comey at MSG.
Great interview….Thank you Freddie🥊! ✊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
guy is just so real with his dad, respect.
humble guy...inspiration to many people....a true champion❤ ....all the best Freddie! Mabuhay ka!

Great interview.
That was great... Loved every word of it.
Im not the most religious man in the world but i do know that God will be waiting for Freddie when its time. What a beautiful soul Freddie Roach has
But "you're not a religious person"?
Freddie isn’t a religious man either so he wouldn’t care
U r devil
U don’t know 💩
We love Manny from wales UK. 🏴
Great interview. Shows how great a person Freddy is as a coach and a son.
An Irish in everyone of us...such an amazing person...
Bravo Freddie ROach! We love you and your work. Thank you!
Proud of Freddy's €ARNED success and humbleness COMING FROM A LOCAL BOY OUT OF NEW ENGLAND
I’m also from New England right next door to Mass. I moved though. But I’m glad to have a legend like Freddie from our neck of the woods.
I'm glad this video came across to my CZcams.
A lot of respect and admiration for Mr. Freddie Roach!
Great interview Freddie Roach deserves a lot more footage for people to know him
I didn’t realize this is quite a few years old but it still feels up to date today
I have the opertunity to train at his gym every day ...what a great environment he has created
Watched Freddie fight late 70s early 80s ,tough ,saw him early in his career, undefeated until he started breaking his hands ,action from start to finish .
Great trainer HOFER
He was on the undercard in Vegas of a lot of fights, stayed busy.
Was at the Diaz fight .
Wow. Wonderful interview, Dan.
Great interview & great guest!!!
What a great interview.
GOAT!!! Not because of his record as a trainer, but for loving his mother the way that he did.
What a great interview. Dan Patrick is such a brilliant interviewer with great questions and bringing in some humor.
Freddie's rags-to-riches story thru hard work and sheer persistence and dedication at a craft he excels (training boxers, not boxing itself as a career) is stuff of legends and great inspiration and should be made a movie. His meeting and detecting generational pugilist like Pacquiao was a stroke of inspired genius--even destiny! Pac and Freddie were a partnership made in boxing heaven. They both made an incomparable brand for each other. And both were Cinderella stories of emulation-worthy virtues, and inspiration that had an almost divine element to it!
On point
Manny and Freddie were great together they made history and made boxing exciting again in those times. The Philippines have zero crime when this duo comes up into the boxing ring. Thats a fact coz everyone will be fixated on the boxing event. Kudos to Freddie, he has a very amiable personality in his later years. 👍🏼👍🏼 for the guy
Great interview of a true legend
Best interview ever😊

The Pacquiao-Roach partnership is truly legendary. A once-in-a-lifetime spectacle and I thank God I lived in this time to witness it.
