  • If you're interested in SideFX houdini and want to know more about what the software does and best places to learn it, this video explains why it's worth incorporating into your workflow. SideFx Houdini is a powerful 3D animation and VFX software used by some of the world's top visual effects studios because of it's advanced and scalable features. For example, Houdini's fluid, cloth, particle, pyro, and crowd simulation tools are incredibly powerful - by using nodes and VEX based workflows, artists have precise control over the final results and can easily iterate and add a ton of detail where needed. This allows for complex setups, which can produce highly realistic results that can scale across the entire production. But it comes at the cost of having a steeper learning curve compared to other 3D software. If you're interested in learning more about Houdini and its capabilities, be sure to check out SideFX's website and community resources.

Same, I think you can still use Houdini a decent amount without knowing VEX or expressions, but it definitely adds a huge advantage to your workflow once you do
