Creative idea for a Halloween project! Wishing you a wonderful Halloween 2023 season from all of us at Distortions Unlimited.
Thanks DistortionsUnlimited and a wonderful Halloween 2023 to you too. I will have to check out your channel!
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms You definitely should...their channel is great.
you have so much Talent Paul I love it you are always out doing the last video😊😊😊
Thanks Bob! I deeply appreciate your loyal interest and supportive remarks.
You could use the broom to make a flying witch. That would be cool. 🧡🤎💛🍁🍂
Ahhhhhhh! Finally!
Ugh, I was aiming for the weekend... sorry it was late, but I hope you like!
Perfect idea for Jason's mother from Friday the 13th
I've never seen the movie, but thanks just the same.
Another very clever, creative, and spooky project. I loved the three different faces to show options for the creation. And loved cutaway wall effect - makes the head even creepier.
Thanks Arlen, I always appreciate your comments and support.
Simply awesome!
Thanks Johnny!
Omg I absolutely lovvve your channel!! I think I found you 3 years ago! I love it all!! You’ve done so good!
Thank you so much and thanks for hanging in there with me.
I been away for awhile, glad to see you're still making amazing props.
Well thanks for comming back and checking out the new videos.
The dancing broom itself is kind of corny, this transformation is perfect. I vacuformed some Hatbox Ghost masks with no real purpose, and now I have one. Thanks Paul!
I love the Hatbox Ghost! That sounds like great idea for the head. Please let me know how it turns out.
I thought for sure this was going to be mounted on a roomba, and I guess I wasn't too far off. This looks so much eerier than putting the head on an oscillating fan base.
Thanks Susan, you were very close. In fact, a roomba could be used and is most likely a better mechanism... this is a bit more cheaper. A poor man's roomba.
Great idea !!
Thanks Tina.
❤ loved this. Thank u for sharing
Thanks Sarena, I'm glad that you like it and thanks also for taking the time to comment.
Pure genius Paul! Love the lighting effects!
Thanks CFAO, I'm glad that you like it and I hope that it is worth the wait.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilmsit was very much worth the wait!
Always awesome thank you
The nice comment is much appreciated. Thanks for it and for watcing my videos.
Omg!! The one at 10:25 is so creepy!! I love this prop 😆
I'm glad that you love it, thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.
This channel needs a much bigger audience. Fantastic ideas with even better instructions!
Edit: Forgot, they make black safety pins. They may cost more but I find they work better than painting them.
Great tip on the safety pins, I will have to look for them. Thanks also for the encouraging compliments!
VERY COOL
Thanks JP.
I commend you, sir. Your ideas are epically creative and simple!
Well, I came from a long line of dumpster divers where you had to be resourceful. Thanks for the nice comment.
This is a cool idea! Another thing I bet you could do with those brooms is make a big spider that bumps along the floor. Great video, can't wait to see what you come up with as the season draws nearer.
YES, a giant bug would be great! Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Absolutely love this! So many ideas come to mind, thank you!
Good, I hope I sparked your imagination! Thanks for watching.
I wonder if you could take the broomstick handle and use it for a self-stirring cauldron.
Hmmm, that just might work... just make sure that you have a big enough cauldron for it to move a bit. I would be interested to hear how your idea works.
Man thats freaky looking
Thanks Justin, I'm glad that you like it and thanks also for watching.
As always, a fantastic video!! 👻
Thanks Laura, I always appreciate your comments.
Super clever! I always enjoy watching your work.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your support and the nice comment.
Oh this is so cool! - I am definitely going to have to incorporate this in my haunt. And you gave me a great idea how I can trigger my other sound activated props.
Hi Cindy, I'm glad that I activated your imagination. Thanks for watching and for the nice comment.
Fiendishly clever... I like the cut away walls too... did you make a How-To on those? They seem more like prop walls for making the video, but something larger that could be used in a haunt or garage.... while it's more about decor and scene-setting, it does play a role in a haunt... after all, this prop needs context. So great to see more content from you! Happy Halloween... that is... prop building season 🎃👻🦇🐈⬛
Hi Ray, thanks for noticing. I have been toying around with a "How-To" on prop walls. They are both made from one sheet of interior massonite brick paneling. For the wall papered one I just used the smooth side. The bricks from the center cutout areas I individually cut out and applied randomly to the bick paneling, giving the bricks some dimension. I added styrofoam to the back side of the bricks surrounding the hole to give them some real thickness. It is all smoke and mirrors, as they say.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Making a How-To for the walls would be great!
Very cool idea🧡🤎💛🍁🍂
EWWWW, that's so creepy, I love it!! 🤣
...I wanna set this up outside someone's window! lmao
Yes, that would be creepy! Thanks Bob I always appreciate your comments.
Many years ago someone in my neighborhood made a thing like the head shown here but using fishing line to have it up high. As I recall, there were two motors with cranks and three lengths of fishing line. The motors were at the corners of the house and the line with no motor went to a tree that happened to be well placed. The head only really moved a few feet but this took it in and out of the beam of a spot light that was aimed at an up angle. The spot light thing had a black tube on it so you didn't really notice it.
You could also use an actual motorized broom! A lot of the cheap knockoff Roombas use the exact same mechanism. I've seen them at stores like FiveBelow, Marshall's, and even thrift stores. I love this effect though, soo eerie!
Yes I agree. If I run across one, comparable in price, I might do a comparrison test. Thanks for the suggestion.
This is such an ingenious use for the magic broom prop! I love that you made multiple heads and sets to help gove ideas of what someone can make. The possibilities are endless
Thanks SkellingtonGhost, yes they can really make it their own. I always appreciate your comments.
This is great! I don't have easy access to props, but I do have a robot broom that my mom bought n didn't like, she doesn't use it, so I think I can reproduce your idea! This is awesome! Thanks!
I'm glad this will work out for you. If you have any questions along the way, just ask. Have fun!
For others living in the Fernley area: Don't bother checking thrift stores here for anything motorized. I've bought them all for the rest of my life.
I’m actually mounting the skeleton they are selling on Cracker Barrel on my Roomba
Cool!!
Hey Paul at 10:35 in the video was that a mask you bought or did you make it?
I made that mask many, many years ago. I formed it over my own face using a brush-on/peel-off beauty mask and ordinary gift tissue paper. Alternating layers, then painted with craft paint. Once dried I peeled if off of my face and applied it to a styrofoam wig head. All these years later and that mask is still going strong!
Omg. Found this channel this weekend and I think I’ve binged 50% of the content already. My wife and I have been planning Halloween since May. We will most likely start buying each other halloweeen themed Xmas gifts.
This years project is a diy cauldron and tripod. Might diy the witch too but might buy a haunted hill farms animated one.
Hello! So glad that you found my channel and that you are enjoying the videos. Please tell your fellow "Haunters" and thanks for watching.
THANK YOU so much for sharing all these projects! I started gathering the needed supplies to make the raven, then the groundbreaker... Now I'm thinking wth I'll make all of them 😅 PLEASE PLS DON'T STOP. Just yesterday I got the baby swing for $25!! Any thoughts about how to make a skeleton move his hands to give the impression of playing the piano?? 😫 what motor will provide that speed?
Thank you so much for enjoying my videos. The baby swing for $25 is quite the find, congrats! For your piano playing skeleton, I would use a portable Shiatsu Massager. I have found these at thrift stores for around $5. They are about 8" x 14" and the base can be camouflaged as part of the keyboard. Take the fabric cover off the top to expose the two rotating spheres and attach the palms of the hands to them. The attachment would need to allow the spheres to rotate but not the hands (a bit tricky but can be done). Just off the top of my head, that would be my recommendation. Good luck and have fun with your projects!
Any new how to videos coming out soon Paul?!
Thanks for asking CFAO. Yes, hopefully by next weekend... fingers crossed!
Soon CFAO, very soon!
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms can't wait Paul!
could you use a fan?
Hi Soup. Can you expound on your question some, in what context are you thinking of using a fan?
