My trivial thought when I hear Liberia mentioned:
    🎶Liberian girl!
You know that you came and you changed my world
    Just like in the movies!
    Two Lover in a scene
And she says, "Do you love me?"
    And he answers honestly,
    "I love you, Liberian girl."🎶
    😊

Very interesting vid, thanks. I think it's important to point out why it was ultimately a failure from the original plan to force 100% of the freed slaves to relocate there. The powers that be at the time determined it was too cruel, sending them to an almost certain fate of death from unfriendly neighbors who were looking to capture & enslave anyone they could. As I remember, I think only around 1,500 relocated there. Some of them built plantation type homes & enslaved whoever they could, & they were the master now...
Keep in mind neither Lincoln nor any of his peers believed freed slaves could ever assimilate into Western ideology civilization, & they shuddered to think of their descendants ignoring the reason their ancestors weren't forced to Liberia, & what potential problems would arise over it. Which goes a long way to explain where we're at today.

They surrrre do. That's how this nation was founded. Black Americans enslaving black natives. Still goes on Today in liberia, along with canabalism and mass rape.
