- A spoof on "Vanessa" written by La Wood, starring Dawn and featuring Wood faves such as Celia Imrie, Duncan Preston, Anne Reid, Lill Roughley and Jim Broadbent. Plus Lynda Bellingham!
- Hudba
Jim Broadbent looks wonderful!
Shame Dawn & Victoria didn’t do more sketches together, 2 of the most funniest ladies in comedy
Im sorry it won't be possible as sadly Victoria died in 2016 💙
Dawn talked about this in Victoria Wood's authorised biography, "Let's do it". She echoed what a lot of others who worked with Victoria said - that victoria could be very difficult to work with (and sometimes socially too). She also said that she felt like an imposter in this sketch and that she was somehow stealing the role from someone like Julie Walters.
RIP Victoria and Lynda.
First there was Oprah, then Trisha, and Vanessa Feltz - now there's 'Dawn'.
Hilarious! And rather accurately true to life.
Loved all the famous actors, oops contributers, too.
Such a good melee of comedy talent. Love, love love.
The cream of the comedy crop!
I’ve never seen that before, absolutely brilliant!
Thanks, I missed this the first time round.
Love the cameos!
Hilarious as Ever and God Bless Victoria and Lynda and may they Rest in Peace, Stay Safer Everyone with Covid 19 today, XX
so many well known faces there. and half the cast of Dinnerladies :) :)
+Koala Cat I think virtually everyone featured in this sketch has been in either Dinner Ladies or in VW's As Seen on TV (1 or 2) - in some cases both - except French.
A spoof of Vanessa Feltz ?? It's spot on!!
Very bitchy of Dawn!

Oh I love it😂 🙋 fantastic!
Never seen this before! 🏆😂😍
Thank you thank you thank you for uploding this, have been dying to see it again for years!!!
stephen9478 Most welcome!
it's almost the identical cast as dinner ladies.
National treasures Dawn and Saunderd
Jim Broadbent!
That woman is beyond talented......OH FOR HER GIFT! Like Jennifer they make it look so damn easy......so envious.
Just hilarious
Dawn French talked about this in Victoria Wood's authorised biography, "Let's do it". She echoed what a lot of others who worked with Victoria said - that Victoria could be very difficult to work with (and sometimes socially too). She also said that she felt like an imposter in this sketch and that she was somehow stealing the role from someone like Julie Walters.
Jim Broadbent in a dress! lol
It is funny,Yet very sad, that it is so true.
@ashley Halliday - was just about to write the exact same thing!
What year was this ?....must've missed it
1995
Wonderful spoof of UK daytime TV. I wonder who the original subject of this was? I thought Trisha but it couldn't have been her, as her show started a few years after this was broadcast. Perhaps Dawn was her inspiration?
Richard Neville Walker It was based on Vanessa Feltz
Oh really? I thought it was a very accurate depiction of Trisha.
Well agree with you then, Trisha must have used this as her inspiration. Lol 🤣😂🤣
This sketch should have been so much better. I love everyone involved, but there are no jokes. There isn't even much intelligence. I want to like it so much :'(
It's nowhere near as good as Wetty Hainthropp Investigates!
I thought it was a spoof of Trisha.
shame there is never ever any real conversations about the way men and women treat each other
This should have been amazing, but for some reason it just wasn't funny, shame!! It must have been Victoria's gig, as it includes all of her troupe of actors; also it's a lot of people's dream to have Dawn or Jen & Vic together, I'm wondering if Dawn's just not right for Vic's material. Thanks for the upload xx
You're talking rubbish, VW was a comic genius and this sketch has all her trademarks. Maybe you just have no taste.
I know what you mean. For a Victoria Wood sketch something is a little off here, and I love pretty much everything else that she has even written, performed or directed. My suspicion is that it was written as 'Julie' with Julie Walters playing the host, but that Julie wasn't able to do it due to other commitments or somesuch.
I thought it was hilarious, just as it was.
Dawn really reminded me of Oprah, Trisha, and Vanessa Feltz, all rolled into one.
Biggest fan of VW and don’t think this is a LOL situation 😳 dawn seems a bit edgy, sometimes people are better doing their own work xx
Just discovered this, Trisha to a tea lol....
I'm not a fan of Dawn French,(well perhaps Vicar of Dibley),,and I wasn't overly fussed with this effort from her. But it was for 'charideeee' so ......
So many hugely talented performers and ,as with so many CR sketches, about as funny as a colostomy bag.
As good as Dawn French is I just don't think she gels well with the great Victoria Wood and her team
Maybe the fact she's not Northern?
@@DistantCousin Neither is Celia Imrie, so it's obviously nothing to do with that.
Very weak sketch.
Try and get a sense of humour.
what's going on here?!
I am the original Distant Cousin dear! ;-)
and I thought I was unique...😣
I am the original, darling! ;)
