From a storyline perspective, this RTWM is the greatest. Technically it's a Road to Starrcade but just, this was a great RTWM. Triple H's story was the weakest but even then, that story was really good with Hunter going for the World Title record. I had a blast reliving all those cutscenes. Because the whole RTWM is the best storyline in the RTWM's kinda brief history. And hell, they booked a great Invasion as well.

As someone who is from the UK (I'm English) having one of the main stories be about people from my country destroying everyone and capturing all the titles made me love this game as a kid and I still make the United kingdom as a faction in my wwe universes in every game since (I use CAW to create the members that aren't in the game).

The commentary in the final part of the story mode is very passionate. I can say that that was some good work by Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. So sad to see the road to wrestlemania end here on WW 12 because I can say that some good work nothing gets more passionate than that.

Road to WrestleMania mode was fantastic. As was Season Mode in SVR2006, SVR2007 was fun too but some of the stories are pretty forgettable, although "Uh oh, it's Magic!" is an incredibly silly and entertaining one for anyone willing to seek it out haha.

I love this RTWM. But, I would love more a story with Orton than Triple H. Sheamus was really interesting, but with Hunter I feel unnecessary. He had 2 previous histories. Apart from that, Orton was the face of the game that year.

A game that is almost a decade old has 2 hours worth of cut scenes whereas new games barely have 10 mins worth...
actually 19 and 20 are about 4 hours of cut scenes.

@@MainEventGames it's kind of limited it's fun still but it's limited you don't have superstar threads and 4 custom attires for caws i don't think it has weapon physics correct me if I'm wrong i stopped playing on wii once i got my ps3 so i forgot also you can't create an arena you also don't have dlcs or anything but still even with these limitations they gave us what they promised and they gave us wwe universe 2.0 they gave us predator technology they also gave us the road to wrestlemania it was really fun but it kinda feels a lot limited once you play the ps3 version or xbox 360 version

MainEventGames im getting this game monday im kinda late but who cares
Let's be a little objective about WWE 12's RTWM . From a storyline overall view , it would surely be better if the RTWM wasn't so heavily scripted , allowing better and more realistic control of the stories and forcing the player to watch the events unfold as a simple fan at times . For each story individually, I believe that the Villain path was kinda generic ( the UK's Raw dominance reminded me a lot of Evolution ) , resulting in me getting really bored with it after a while . When the Outsider story began , I was expecting a Jacob Cass-like character to appear and win the WWE Title . To be honest though , Triple H was indeed a subtle pick since he wasn't going to be able to wrestle full time after a year or so ( he was 42 - 43 st the time the game was released ) . The storyline had a very good plot and his Summerslam retirement left a pretty good taste in my mouth . As far as the Hero story goes , the only thing I didn't enjoy was Cass not winning the WWE or World Heavyweight title in Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber . I really wanted some more drama in the HIAC match at Starrcade , with both sides betting the 2 world titles as well , with the title changing hands only when all 7 team members were eliminated ( WWE Title for WWE , WCW Title or World Heavyweight Title for WCW preferably ) . Such a gamble from both sides would add an even deeper layer of rivalry and prestige to the New Invasion story . Gameplay wise , the only thing I have to complain about is the overusing of backstage brawls not as a place of storyline boosting but as normal events in place of actual matches , despite real life WWE following at the time a similar approach with the Nexus story .
