I am considering upgrading to a Street Glide Special, and if you can post something on how to load your trip plan from HD Trip Planner site or Google Maps into Navigation System on the bike, I would greatly appreciate that. I've read that it is limited to 9 waypoints, which can be an issue. Thanks for all the info to date.
Joey, I believe you are right on the limited waypoints. I haven't gotten to much into trip planning yet. Just the basics. It does say you will need an 8 gb thumb drive to load onto. Same as upgrading the stereo itself. And yes there is also an upgrade for the 6.5 inch system. H-D website helps explain the prices to load onto a thumb drive. Maybe you could do a couple different plans onto a larger drive abd download as needed?
Do you have Sirius radio on the box? I was looking into it for mine. The weather feature is what I’m interested in. If the radar overlays on your navi map like in my car. Very cool feature.. Thanks

Installed a different radio because of the Bluetooth didn’t work with the old one same style for the 2014 Electra glide ultra limited but the amp don’t turn on with the new radio what would be the problem

I have been searching the internet for days looking for the right pegs which will fit in the limited place available on the engine bar and yet are long enough for my foot to clear the lower fairing and wide enough for my big boot not to slip off! Hi, how the heck do you set a preset for the radio? My Limited came with a bunch of random presets and so far I have been unable to set or delete any. The radio manuals haven't helped, and my dealer was clueless.
Does your phone, or thumb drive have to be plugged in to `show "Album Art"? I can not locate anything in the menus to show this while using "Blue Tooth"! Curious....

Ronald- My father is having issues with cycling through his media that is on the thumb drive. Do you have any pointers or knowledge that may allow him to use the next and previous buttons on the left side? He is using a 16gb thumb drive and MP3 and WMA files. Music plays fine just cant hit next.
I haven't been able to duplicate this issue. Is the music showing on the menu? Maybe try selecting any of the songs as a "Favorite" and assigning it to a number and try to use the next button after that?

Can you have playlist show up on your Harley-Davidson from your thumb drive. I don't see a playlist I can see tracks and artists names and album names. Not the playlist.
My iPhone 4 worked perfectly with my 2014 SGS. My Samsung worked pretty well. Nothing to complain about. My iPhone 6 will connect via bluetooth but when connected to the UBS, it disables the bluetooth connection and never fully connects to the USB. If the bluetooth is turned off on the phone, the USB still never fully connects. Never had that issue with the iPhone 4 or the Samsung. Any ideas what might be happening here?
With that new of a phone I would guess that there will be an upgrade for the firmware on the stereo coming soon. Check Harley-Davidson.com and you can download upgrades yourself when they are available.

I just installed lid speakers but I do not have the fade control and no sound out of my speakers. After spending all that cash and trying to save money on the install I was told I have to bring it into the dealership to make the fade input active and will be charged 1 hour. Can anyone let me know how or what needs to be done to get the lid speakers to work. I really do not want to pay an additional $120 for them to do it.

If there is something plugged in try unplugging and plugging it back in while the system is on. If it is connected via Bluetooth ensure the device is compatible with teh HD system. Is the infotainment system an option when you buy, or do they all come with it stock? I'm a technical consultant by trade and let me say that something like this is the *last* thing I want on my motorcycle. No offense and to each his own, but jeez.. for me personally this just seems like something that would take away from the experience of riding a HD, not enhance it.
+thedarkener On teh Ultra Limited it is a factory option. On the Ultra classic this stereo would be an upgrade. This stereo and the lesser version come on the bikes with the Batwing style fairing and the Road glides in 2015. Any of the bikes without the fairing would not have it.
I haven't had it freeze however occasionally when starting in bright sunlight it sometimes starts the infotainment system with the screen dimmed making it hard to see. No freezing yet anyway.
I just got my 2014 Street Glide Special. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to add my home address to the address book. It's defaulting to a HD dealership in Belton, TX and won't let me override it.

Ronald, how do you turn up the rear intercom volume? The manual said to speak into the driver mic while turning up the volume and it will turn up the rear volume, but that does not work for me.
Good video. My system works just fine when IPOD or Thumb Drive is plugged in to USB. Sounds comes from all speaker. Problem I have is when i play from my IPhone it only pushes sound through one speaker. Is this an IPhone issue anyone has solved? Please advise.

The problem I see with infotainment in general is the lack of one's ablity to repair, tweak your system to your liking. The price of these new vehicles I think the infotainment software and connection cable should be included. I expect most people would rather pay 100+ dollars an hour ... what has society become?

Jim, you will have to manually find the station. Now press and hold on the preset button of your choice. Hope this helps.

Push right on the left joystick to advance songs. Push and hold and it should scan through songs.

Haven't had any issues with mine yet. I have switched it from blue to brown a few times but leaving it blue I think.

I understand your frustration. Maybe look for the answer on the HD Forums? It may be a progeamming issue in the software.

How do you cancel a route without a headset?
When in the map screen go to the sub menu (3 lines) and select stop.
Sirius/XM is available as an add on for the Limited. Standard I think on the CVO

Barry, on an ultra there are toggles on the side of the tour pack used by the passenger to adjust volume and change channels.
