Doctor Sleep was a damn good movie. The studios dropped the ball with marketing, because this generation knows nothing about The Shining. It should have had a limited theatrical re-release to familiarise audiences, and I'm certain DS would have done much better.
I also think the title is a tougher sell. You don't wanna call it The Shining 2, but Stephen King chose and awkward title that didn't really evoke the earlier story
Doctor Sleep is a Masterpiece,
Doctor Sleep is such a great film. And it's absolutely brilliant how they balanced not only adapting the book but changing to not only fit in with Kubrick's film but to also adapt parts of the original Shining novel to kinda tie everything together. Also, I highly recommend the Doctor Sleep novel to anyone who hasn't read it. Jack's ghost in the book plays a much more significant and awesome role.
Dr Sleep has one of the best sound mixes i've heard in years. Love that movie.

Doctor Sleep is one of the best "Legacy Sequels" of all time, if you can even call it that. Hot take, but I prefer it to the Shining

Long Way ‘Round and Long Way Down are stunning BBC series!
Especially, Long Way Round, I became a stan and loved how he is as a person outside of him as an actor.

Doctor Sleep has staying power. I‘ve watched the DC about 5 times now, re-read the book because of the movie… it‘s really great, even the changes they made from the book.
Another fun interview. Thanks Jake. I like him in every work he's in even if sometimes the movie or show itself is not as interesting. Of course my all time fav among his work is Trainspottng ❤
