  • My pace was good here and I thought by starting P3 would give a great race. It certainly gave a stressful one, with that stress on my I tried my best to keep up.. BUT the MX5 can be a brutal car..

I think I was in the race before or after this one. Mine was a three way battle between Pol, Olivier and me. Unlike James here, I played the nice guy behind Pol in the opening laps on cold tires, tried avoiding getting dragged into an 'incident', made an unaggressive overtake on Pol on lap 4 on the back straight and he paid me being nice to him back with being nice in return. Good to see level headed people out there. Unfortunately (fortunately for me :D) him and Olivier kind of got dragged into a fight for P2 to mount an attack ftw in the closing laps, which allowed me 0.8-0.9 secs of a gap, and helped me ease into the win. It was a tight battle 3/4 of the way regardless, with me trying to fend off first Pol, and then Olivier on the back straight and the hairpin multiple times. Great stuff. James and Pol got tangled here, but being able to best them and win the race regardless of circumstances is a job well done. Also your guide helped get back up to speed quickly, thanks for that too !
