I'm back in Malaysia's capital for a 4th time and I'm just loving life! I've actually spent the last week here with Deanna and Michael, and this city has grown a LOT of me since my first visit in 2013.
Unfortunately, Kuala Lumpur gets grossly overlooked by its neighbors of Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong.
But I'm here to tell you that K.L. is a fascinating, vibrant and tasty city that doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves!

Honestly Tourism Malaysia did a lousy job in promoting Malaysia to the world. When I traveled outside of Malaysia & made new friends, many of them still didn't know where is Malaysia...They know Singapore, they know Thailand but not Malaysia

Predrag Jovanovic ,well obviously but there’s very good jobs which you can get a load of money,Singapore is a bit expensive because the government realized that a lot of people can afford a car which the government is unable to have every single people having a car cause a car takes more space to park. The government make the price higher which also the other stuff because it must be fare.
Akemi & Hiroyuki yo look at the currency of Singapore’s money and the things the government do for us!Its not only about the money.We get better securities and stuff in SG compared to Malaysia,and we are able to do all this in about 50 years.from third world to first world!

I'm Indonesian, but I've always wanted to go to Malaysia, especially Malacca. Hubby's been there for a while and told me how he was amazed by the atmosphere there. He added in Malaysia everything is relatively cheap, as cheap as in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. Hope the pandemic will be over soon so I can get there. Wait for me, Malaysia!

Went to Kuala Lumpur. It’s one of the cutest cities ever. Everything is amazing. The three best parts were-
1) Food
2) English Speaking people
3) The mosques.
P/S I have been to HK and BK. Kuala Lumpur is easily better.

Few years ago, I visited KL (and Penang), Singapore and Dubai. Spent three weeks in Malaysia and few days in Singapore and two week in Dubai. KL is by far my favourite. Other places are good too but KL ticks more boxes than other places.
I've been to a few places in MY, very friendly people... Friendly to Filipinos... I don't think KL is underrated... This is one top notch destination... Like c'mon, who doesn't know the iconic Petronas towers! Unless you're living under a rock! ✌️
But I think its still underrated, because european and american people mostly don't know about malaysia
Its ok. There is pro and con in both. For me personally i would rather be underrated country. I like the way we are right now. Sometimes being famous is not as good as what we expected. I am malaysian and thanks for your support my beautiful neighbouring country.

@@thisismacom3723 no actually sabah is the most underrated in east Malaysia bro...for example, in the capital KL alone, most of the local did not even differentiate sabah & Sarawak..their keep on mentioning Sarawak even after i introduce myself as a sabahan, in addition to that, their always mistaken a lot such as Ibanese race in Sabah..and the national celebration is Gawai...i was frustrated but at the same time was a little bit annoyed and find it funny a bit since Sabahan national celebration is actually called KAAMATAN and also the famous race is KADAZAN & DUSUN...i bet prior to these days still almost 90% of the peninsular Malaysia people did not even acknowledge properly about our race and often mistaken SARAWAK main ethnic to SABAH'S......so yeah SABAH is underrated...not saying you wrong totally but we are way underrated....plus even Hollywood taking Sarawak as the filming location for movies star such as Hollywood actress JESSICA ALBA in the title of THE SLEEPING DICTIONARY...and yes Kuching is also famous than KK city by the way

I like Thai food culture and other things, I been to Vientiane too and it's not really much to offer but Luang Prabang was nice. Ayuthaya it's the best place I visit in Thailand, Bangkok more to offer.

My home for several years. Absolutely underrated. I had a fantastic time there and miss it dearly. There are not many places I love more.
Had a visit to KL last month. I can’t tell you how much I love this place. This city is much more interesting than Singapore ( sorry Singaporeans ) especially the cuisineeeee. I even had a thought of seeking a job there in KL lol

i was there and i fell in love with the city straight away. it is indeed an underrated. a beautiful place with so much diversity. so modernized yet managed to keep their nature. so many trees all around. the best city i’ve been so far.

Kuala Lumpur is low profile. But when you get there the view is high profile :) Nice and clean and lots of huge malls and places to eat.
KL is also the top business hub for Asian companies so that's why you see people from Japan, Korea, China (Not Malaysian Chinese who already here), Taiwan and Hong Kong are here. :)

@@ahmadfadhil9669 cost of living in japan its really expensive. Some of them, the husband work in japan, but his family are staying in penang. They create huge japanese community there. All food are inport from japan and sell it in our groceries. Thats why, penang goment, create high cost house to this foreigner. This capitalist make money from that. For japanese, the house is spacious but cheaper.

And also the Japanese make up a significant portion of the expatriate population in Kuala Lumpur and Georgetown. Let's just ignore that and tell me why they arent important. There are also many Japanese-centred institutions in the major cities and the fact that Japan also contributes lots of money through their tourists visiting. Yeah they arent important at all
