Come on! Ken is so entertaining that I forgot that I was watching to find out about some hidden feature. By the time he mentioned it, it just felt like a bonus... or a joke. My first Mavic Air crash was flying through a covered bridge. It narrowly missed a gap where it would have plunged into deep water below. My chest tightened as I scrambled to recover it. I would much rather crash my Mavic Mini... I just haven't yet!

The mini is the first DJI drone that is affordable for me and I absolutely love it. 400 euros well spent. I'm having way too much fun with my little mini :)
@@ALONE_IN_THE_DARKNESS1107 I bought a radio controlled helicopter about 20 years ago. I crashed it in the first 5 seconds. It never flew again. The mavic mini has gps stabilization. That combined with the downward facing cameras makes it extremely stable. It's like an rc car where if you let go of the controller, the drone stops where it is giving you a chance to figure out what to do next with the controls. Point is, ya it's easy to fly.

This little bird continues to amaze me. BTW, Ken...you bring a lot to the party with your Witt and wisdom. For you to be able to pull all of those maneuvers off in close proximity to all of that steel structure( the trusses) is incredible and truly makes my mouth water. As it stands right now I have three DJI s and I would lose two just to have one of these if it wasn’t about $$$ The fact that you can fly with much the same amount of software and adequate camera for roughly a thousand dollars less makes this a dream. Right now I figure the 1000 s differential in a crash is considerably cheaper than the divorce I would incurred if I brought in another bird. Enjoy young man and keep posting.

I went to order my fly more combo tonight and low an behold, they are sold out. I could buy the mini by itself, but I'd like to have the combo. I did find it at other outlets, but since I work at wally world, my purchase will include my 10% discount. I hope they get the fly more combo back in stock soon. I'm anxious to get started learning/flying.

Update.....I went ahead and ordered the mini by itself last night (just couldn't wait) and then in preparation I went to the app store to download and install DJI FLy....guess what, it will not run on my LG X power. Sadly I cancelled my order for the mini. I'll have to wait and do more research. I suppose I could use a new phone, but this one is working fine. I just can't fly the mini with it at this time.
@@stevelaforce7806 Oh No!!! I'm so sorry to hear that. Yea the phones it is compatible with seems like a relatively small list. I use a Samsung Galaxy S8. I bought it new in the box on eBay for $160 but you can get used ones quite a bit cheaper. That's the phone I use and I have had no issues with it. My better half was given an iPhone 8 and we despise the Apple corporation. I am thinking about using it for a dedicated Mavic Mini phone though since DJI is initially designed for crapple. At least I wouldn't have to keep taking my S8 out of its Otterbox case.

I recently ordered my Skydio2 and won't get it probably around the 2ndQ of 2020...HOPEFULLY!!! My friend keeps talking about getting the Mini, but I said I didn't want anything that small. I am rethinking about getting the mini instead because of all these reviews I have seen. And you are right Ken..$1200 for the Skydio2 with the accessories and less then half the price for the mini. Still have lots of time to get my $100 deposit back for the Skydio2. All because of watching your videos. Thanks Ken
I bought both, and will still send less than a regular mavic 2 pro. The mini is great fun and fills a different role than the Skydio 2. I am still very much looking forward to 2Q 2020 when the Skydio comes.

I've gotten rather discouraged from droning, being chased off by "authorities" & other "do-gooders" w/o no valid reasons on various occasions, but you tempt me to "hang in there" for the type of unique photo opportunities you continue to create. I'm familiar w/JDI's 'Air', but am impressed w/the camera performance of your mini, particularly in low light (to say nothing of a few less bureaucratic restrictions than the mini's heavier cousins). Thx for sharing!
Your footage is really impressive, i just got a Mini and found your video when looking for info on the Mini, it's my first drone. I used to be a PI and can see a lot of possibilities with the Mini, it can take videos I wish I could've done back in those days, especially reconstructing accidents with aerial footage. I got chased away by the "heat" several times but with a drone it would not only be easier and faster, but a whole lot better. Could do the job and be gone before anyone knew I was there.
I took the drone plunge and bought a mavic mini for myself recently. Just took it out for its maiden voyage yesterday and had a blast. I am looking forward to the challenge of drone photography. I also enjoyed this video and your sense of humor it was quite entertaining!
Hi Ken, these pictures are so impressing. I think, it needs plenty of hours of training to fly a drone to take pictures like these. I am at the beginning of flying a drone. My wife gave me a Mavic Mini 2. We do not have such interesting places here (where I am living) and our law does not allow to fly at the most places. Thank you for these awesome pictures, they animate me to learn flying a drone as good as you do :) I love your movies and I love your humor, too :.-)
Good stuff. I have a Phantom 3 Pro with two flights on it, 3 batteries, a bunch of extras and a pricey Nanuk case that I haven't been able to unload for even the paltry price of $400. The Mini is one reason why. Just the way the hobby goes.
Great video! Incredible drone. I just got one!!! and now my spark is crying out of jealously & The M2pro is getting 😧 concerned because of the ease of use, quietness, gets less attention & you can bypass most regulations without concern! So hidden feature is 👌🏽perfectly stated!

I went from a pro 2 zoom to the mini 2 just for that hidden feature lol. And he's more likely to go on more advanced cuz he's more portable

I got chased away by the "heat" several times but with a drone it would not only be easier and faster, but a whole lot better. Could do the job and be gone before anyone knew I was there.

I took the drone plunge and bought a mavic mini for myself recently. Just took it out for its maiden voyage yesterday and had a blast. I am looking forward to the challenge of drone photography. I also enjoyed this video and your sense of humor it was quite entertaining!

Hi Ken, these pictures are so impressing. I think, it needs plenty of hours of training to fly a drone to take pictures like these. I am at the beginning of flying a drone. My wife gave me a Mavic Mini 2. We do not have such interesting places here (where I am living) and our law does not allow to fly at the most places. Thank you for these awesome pictures, they animate me to learn flying a drone as good as you do :) I love your movies and I love your humor, too :.-)

Good stuff. I have a Phantom 3 Pro with two flights on it, 3 batteries, a bunch of extras and a pricey Nanuk case that I haven't been able to unload for even the paltry price of $400. The Mini is one reason why. Just the way the hobby goes.

(Except that it is, in fact, regulated by the FAA the same as any other drone. Only hobbyists can save 5-bucks by not having to register.)
