    So Aimee just eye balls it makes those long cuts seamlessly, pun intended. Then it magically sews it all together like it is nothing at all. Very well done! Isn't there a density scale for foam too? And currently there are 172 views and only 45 Likes, so lets not forget to do the Likes too. I am always impressed with your skills Aimee!!

      Thanks so much! I used a high density soft foam. The numbers are too technical to add to videos, but I’m planning a video with my foam expert

    I’ve seen your videos about working with velvet and vinyl. I would love a video of you showing your fabric collection and discussing the types of fabrics you use. The qualities you like or dislike. I know that the customer selects the fabric, but your insight would be great.
    Love your videos!

    Something else I'm going to make is a lazy susan for the spool of pli-grip. I'll see if that makes the stuff more manageable.

  • @TerrieJohnstown
    @TerrieJohnstown Před 3 lety

    Great project, and you make it look so easy! I think you could cut a few plugs off of your plywood about the same size as your button, and glue them together to make a sort of jig to use when you fasten the string. Just put the pillow over the jig and press - it should push the button down enough to let you pull the string through tightly to be stapled. Thanks for all of your videos - I only found them about a week ago, and I am enjoying them alot! I was looking for videos on making a slipcover for an armchair that my cats have scratched up, and found your videos. Glad I did!

    Super video, thank you. Would you drill the holes into the plywood for the feet first if you were using T nuts?

    • @ArtisanUpholsteryStudio
      @ArtisanUpholsteryStudio  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, if using the T-Nuts, the hole are pre-drilled on a slight angle (so the legs sit on an angle) and get set in place on the top before the foam is glued on. You need 3/4” plywood to set them on an angle, and it’s a little trickier to get the angle correct.
