This scene always taught he that no matter how old we get, it's always good to have a bit of childish fun every now and again. Every other weekend I still play soccer, go bowling, play some video games and then grab a pizza at 41 just as I did when I was 12.
I did a race there, at Playland Park in NY. A Triathlon Race. I walked along the boardwalk and just smiled. Those times were so good, so wholesome. The water was terrible. The roads were bumpy. But the pure nostalgia of playland park, you just can't buy those things. It was amazing ;-)
One of my favorite 80s movies ! All of Tom Hanks movies In the 80s were the best In his career, plus Forest Gump In my opinion. This song was huge this time last year on Instagram ! Brought back sooo many memories of the wonderful awesome 80s ! Never will be another decade like It ! 👍 💕
Saving Private Ryan, Road to Perdition, Philadelphia, Apollo 13 and that is just movies off the top of my head. Turner and Hooch is probably my fav Tom Hanks movie though lol
Even though this movie was a lil weird, I always found this scene cute. And found myself in love with tom hanks charming and wholesome way lol it just fits em to a t
I saw this movie when it came out back in the 80s my dad and mom who are my foster parents at the time took me to see this I didn't realize how cool this movie was and now I'm 48 years old by the way I like your name suicide blonde reminds me of an INXS song 🤔
I get to be on top that cracked me up. I watched it as a kid at the time and didn't realize the pun in it, until I watched it again when I grew up much later.
At the end of the movie when he returns to his house where his mom is I always wondered what would happened to his stuff here in his apartment building since it's abandoned.
But if it was me, my opinion, I would say his stuff were all taken back to the McMillan Toy company where he worked, and his apartment probably was given to another tenant, maybe it was Susan herself who brought that studio unit and moved here.
Wholesome. Lol, good message. A 13 year wishes to be Big and gets laid then becomes a child again. He gets laid, decides he wants to be a kid again and dumps the chick because a technicality. I love the movie but I don't see the wholesome message. I wonder how'd it play it if they reversed the gender. 🤔
Best movie Big was, and especially this scene in his studio apartment. But one question though - When Josh returned to being a kid again, i notice he did not take anything with him, what happened to his things there and the apartment studio itself ? Did they sell his stuff at auction, or did he reclaim it later, or did McMillan Toys take it back...And also that apartment studio, did Susan buy it, or given to another tenant ?
I like trampolines as much as the next person, but because I can’t really jump anymore, I prefer bounce houses which have been part of youngest niece’s birthday parties
hey sweet, a pin-bot LOL. pin-bot is a popular pinball machine that still has a solid fan base today. look how old this scene is, everything has changed, but somewhere someone is still probably playing a pinbot LOL the pepsi logo no longer exists, hair styles have changed, clothing has changed, but pinball is still popular (as long as you know where to look)
I love this scene. Deep down every adult wants to be a child again and just do crazy fun stuff.

Why don’t they make movies like this anymore? Simple, wholesome and it has a good message.
@@JODelevante wtf does that mean that is a true statement movies suck now they used to be real and felt real.
Lol what?! They never stopped!
@@chefmesser420 You arent watching the right movies. Today it is easier than ever to see recent movies and I still see fun, wholesome films like Big

I was just watching this movie on the Satelite last night. I love this movie.
Something really touching about seeing this message, 16 years later. It really is such a lovely film.
Great scene I've also been binge-watching unsolved mysteries and the old love connection with Chuck woolery 😁😁
This scene is the reason why I have a loft today. No Trampoline tho
« You should try it
It’s fun «
;)
That guy's gonna have the worst credit report when he turns eighteen.
Every adult could do with a trampoline jumping session. Good for the soul to just be silly.
Susan must be enjoying herself on that trampoline! Shes so lucky i wished that i would have jumped on that trampoline with Tom Hanks
This was uploaded 16 years ago woah
Loved those 80's fashions, and Patrice Rushen song too
I adore this movie but Forget me nots makes this whole scene and this is factual

Damn, Josh Baskin making $187/week and living in a SoHo loft. The 80s were cool lol
Shiny shiny coco rock, shimmy shimmy rock
My fav movie.
It’s kind of funny how she thought they were actually going to get it on
What is an adult but a kid that takes him/herself too seriously
A perpetual kid? Overgrown child? Adult with strong inner child? A Michael Jackson?
Thank you dor the name of the song! ^^
I was searching it long time ago!
This song is very similar to the song of Will Smith called "Men in Black"
This song game out in 1982 before this movie came out

I wish they could've but the stuff from Big and The Monster Squad in Ready Player One
I get why Tyler, The Creator has a poster of this movie, it's basically his life
This is my ideal man fun and playful 😊
He’s not a grown man as the story has it. Doesn’t that creep you out?..
He jumped on the top bunk, nothing to see here folks, keep it moving
I wonder if that giant Gumby at 1:26 is some special prize only a few people can get?

🎵Here comes the Men in Black🎵... Oops! Wrong song. 😛
They won't let you remember
What song is this ? It's in men in black and in George Michael's "fastlove"
"Forget Me Nots" by Patrice Rushen

很喜歡女子最後解放玩跳跳床的模樣
看了好幾次 都好開心

even at 13 I woulda plugged that 🤭
This CZcams clip is now as old as the film was when it was first uploaded.
zoltar please make me young again.....
Yeah where is Zoltar when you need him...
All this time I thought men in black was an original song.
Ironic. In this film he plays a kid who has a woman back to his bedroom. Now in real life he’s a man who lures kids to his bedroom.
What
He was never convicted of anything lol
