I did one PPI of 20mg for a month, ended up on a diff. one of 40mil for one month. and I dont feel like its helped at all! I have more LPR symtoms, and non-stop ugly cough. So I figured might as well stop.
I have been taking ppi for 8 years can't stop because of acid reflux and heartburn problem. I changed my diet completely and stopped anything that can cause acid reflux still it doesn't go away. My dr said it's probable IBS and again prescribed Omeprazole 40mg for 1 month but what after 1 month? I know it will not make any change and still wondering how can i get rid of this problem without PPI😐
I’ve been taking pantaprozol 40 mg for near 10 yrs now. I have ibs (10+ years)which has ruined me. I also have type 2 diabetes (11 yrs). I actually took it upon myself to stop taking the pantoprazole just yesterday to see if GERD is gone. I have lost 15 kg in the last year and have no appetite. I’m so confused as to what to do to feel normal again.

There are tons of things that can cause acid reflux that are part of IBS. We'd love to help you figure out what it is.
