One of the most important things I was told by very sweet, very stylish church ladies (yes, more than one) was that underpinnings are the most important thing. A good foundation can make the cheapest clothes look stylish, and a bad foundation can make the most expensive clothes look tacky. I've always remembered this. PS: I've heard she refused dressers and wanted to do it all herself. If that's true, it shows.
Yes! And her best outfits where when she left Suits Im sure she was still guided by a Stylist up until then......👍
After that she took over her own outfits and they all look TERRIBLE ,She tried to be the Trend like Diana & Catherine but she will be
Remembered for Awful Fashion Choices and unfortunately her Awful Personality too
Did the Palace take all her full length mirrors away from her “ when they took her passport and keys”…..????
And excellent posture helps . Kate has it , Meg does not.
Short torso , wide rib cage .
I Love Church Ladies. They are so wise but very sweet about sharing their wisdom.
Markle's Method for clothes shopping:
Is it designer? Check! ✔️
Is it expensive? Check ✔️
Sold!!!!
Designers are wanting Markle to wear their clothes they aren’t selling & it is giving that designer a bad name. Only because Markle can make the most beautiful clothes look ugly on Markle.
Can I add one more please?
Does it suit/ fit? - No matter ( see numbers one and two)
And then along comes her pink pelican suit for the basketball game to prove us all right. She never learns! Thankfully we get our laughs of the day.
Exactly. She doesn't take her body shape into consideration. She has a very boxy figure, yet she insists on wearing clothes that draw attention to her non-existent waist.
Does it fit me correctly? ❌ I’ll buy it anyway!🤦🏻♀️
What on earth did our poor Queen feel when she saw meg's knickers out in public. I bet she was mortified
LOL Wish Megnut HAD to wear Queen Victoria's bloomers!...They were enormous!
On the plus side, at least she was wearing knickers!
In the South, we call this "trashy." If you don't want to look trashy, wear a slip, don't call attention to your undergarments, and don't flash the merchandise. Good grooming is nothing more than putting your best foot forward.
@cherriemartin3737
Can you imagine Queen Elizabeth II walking around like that? Her navel busting out and her bra playing Peek-A-Boo?
It's trashy in the north also. I do notice that young people don't seem to wear slips much.
Before she married the then Prince Charles, Diana was photographed holding a child in a skirt without a slip - she got roasted for it. It never happened again as far as I know
@@colliecoform4854 We weren't taught about proper undergarments because our generation was the tank top, jeans and fast fashion generation. As an adult I now have an hourglass figure which looks best in knee length or calf length dresses and I am only just now seeing and learning the difference a good undergarment can make.
As a "young people," I can say slips have never really been a thing in my lifetime except among the more mature crowd. However, lack of slips does not excuse any tacky fashion. It is more important than ever to make sure undergarments are the right fit, style, material, and, yes, color (no black panties under white pants please).
I don't understand why a woman who can afford such an expensive outfit can't afford to spend some money on a decent bra
She’s just classless trash and it shows in her clothing
Now Tutt Tutt she knows best ,in her own mind she looks great 😅
Most Celebs make fashion Mistakes but her making this many bad choices there is Something more goin' on 😒😝
Or slips !
@@MelindaMc she learned that from Okra, she said over and over on her show she didn't ever wear one. That woman never learned to dress her frame either.
It is possible that her undergarments are also very expensive, however, it again , as with her outfits, it is a question of fit
I’ve never known anyone to spend SO MUCH money on clothes and still look SO BAD😅
Sarah Ferguson, when married to Prince Andrew, wore some terrible clothes, and they were expensive. Like Meghan's, they screamed 'Hey, I've married money!'
Do you not mean, spend so much of other people's money?? In one year alone she blew £1,000,000 on clothes and accessories, more than ALL the other members of the British Royal Family plus ALL the European Royal households COMBINED at £800,000. What hastened her departure from the Royal Family was her husband being told by his father that, "this has to stop, I can't afford it". Meghan, being American, thought that a life of Public Service meant a life to "serve yourself".
Yes, somehow she manages to completely F up any outfit she puts on. It could be Prada or Target, doesnt matter, its immediately F'd up once she puts it on. Its pretty amazing how terrible she is at fashion really...if showing the undergarments is intentional, its backfiring horribly and if its unintentional, get a clue already and take some fashion advice maybe?! Ffs smh...some people have no shame, or a clue lol
@@stuartmccall5474Charles had to pay for her wardrobe from his personal funds.

'Back in the day,' a woman would never wear a dress or skirt without a slip ... I'm 60 yo and I clearly remember when finding slips became more difficult in stores like Walmart
I always wear a full slip under dresses and a half slip under skirts. I’m old fashioned - well, just old (63) really lol! These days they are so light and comfortable that you don’t even know you’re wearing them. 😊
I am lucky enough to still have two slips from my mid 20s. I am 53. I got them after I had my 2 daughters so maybe in 1998 hell I think one is from my teens that my grandmother gave me that was kinda to big when she bought it.
So true. , at 61 , I was brought up knowing the importance of a slip , thankfully in the UK we can still buy them at good old M& S !
Exactly!! And panty lines….
New York lingerie is an online store that sells shape wear undergarments bras, pantyhose. I buy my bodysuits from there.
traumizing the people of New Zealand with her undies on display....OMG, I'm dying laughing!!
Perhaps they could have done a Haka 😊
Omg spit out my tea
That see through skirt looked awful - all it needed was a lining to make it look decent.
😂😂😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👍
If I were a designer , I would be very upset that she made an expensive outfit look so tacky
Very.
and she asks f freebies........ really n one wansher ruining thier cloths
They are. She’s been asked not to mention their names and not to wear their stuff
Not only that she is embarrassing the royal family.
She probably cut the lining out of the dress to make her look, what she thinks is sexy.
In her Kermit goes to church dress… she was at a Commonwealth service, in a church.. and was supposed to wear something red white or blue… she ALWAYS refused to go along with what the color scheme was
She is a contrarian!!!
I was going to make the same comment but then saw yours! Also ignoring the protocol of colours for Prince Louis' christening.
Purposefully being out of step & ruining the harmony of the aesthetics is a basic attention-seeking ploy. So childish and tacky .. imo
Everyone sees that green dress from the front view, trust me the back view is horrendous. I was so surprised just how shitty it fit her.
Her antisocial behavior and inability to make good choices indicates a personality disorder. I think she's mentally ill.
I had heard that the ladies in the royal household have undergarments that give them the foundation without lines. You never see panty lines or bra straps or anything lumpy on Princess Catherine. I can see MeAgain telling them that she knows how to dress herself and didn't need their help.
She was supposed to wear either red, white or blue because of the occasion. She wore that green in spite.
Then earned herself Kermit memes 😅
I think you're wrong because in March, it's St Patrick's Day..Maybe I'm in the wrong though...
@@margaretflounders8510 St Patrick's green would be OK if they were in Ireland, but for Commonwealth Day the idea is that the entire community is together under the flag which is red, white, and blue. It's not a hard & fast rule... I think Camilla wore purple one time.
@@margaretflounders8510they weren’t celebrating st Patti’s day. This was commonwealth day, which is why the dress code is blue, red, or white to represent the colours on the Union Jack and many of the common wealth countries united under it. As commonwealth representatives and ambassadors to the commonwealth (a. Position they still hold) they should have damn well known. Green was inappropriate. It would have been the same as wearing bright colours to Remembrance/ Veterans Day.
@@jtidema Camila wore purple, but it was in line with what the Queen and Charles wore at the time. They were seated together too. The rest of the supporting family wears Blue, Red, or White.
CAN’T SOMEBODY PLEASE -
point out how she always wears evening clothes, cocktail dresses & such, in the daytime!!!
Yes I thought of that too.
Yeah, she's just a stupid little girl playing dress up.
The black dress she wore for the Lion King is so tight on her it's actually cut into her neck!
Oh that looked dreadful and was way too tight.
Meg's biggest problem is Meg, she thinks she knows best so she won't take anyone's advice.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I learned that Diana's undergarments were built into the dress, which gave her a sleek, well-designed appearance. No lines, no bumps, no irregularities. MM seems to think that 'tight is right', and seems to think it's fashion to be so obvious with her undergarments. WHEN have we ever seen important ladies that appear in such ill-fitting clothes as her?
Never. It's another of the fascinating qualities of this anomaly that keep us watching and almost hating myself for it!! .
She really Should just ' go home'.!
its a wonder she didnt copy this
She takes expensive designers clothes and makes them look like thrift store finds.
I also think she was offered designs to originally get designers names out there, but no real tailoring as some meant to be returned!?!
Trailer Couture
Hey now that's insulting to thrift shops
@@ankhanon4913 I found a Prada suit at a thrift shop. It was so simple and elegant and fit my tiny size 4 friend like a glove.
Most designers refuse to dress her.
Great video! Having sold undergarments for 20 years, I can say she 100% didn't try anything on with the underclothes she actually wore with them!
Foundation garments are our friends!
Maybe the school system should think about bringing back the Home Economics/Sewing classes. We were taught the proper undergarments to wear with the clothes for specific occasions in addition to making sure the clothes actually fit our bodies. I did a few parents back in my high school days, and those parents ladies would go over all the contestants with a fine-toothed comb, making sure no lines or bulges were visible.
@@ladybee883 Pageants?
@@ladybee883 I graduated hs in 2005 and we had home economics but definitely did not learn any of that! It’s sad actually.
@Melanie Martin Should have been 'pagent ladies". 🙂 Every time I type the word pagent spell check changes it to parent, and I have to go back and redo it. I graduated long before a lot of the ladies that watch these videos were born, back in 1974. We had very strict rules for the local pagents, but they were really great tips on how to camouflage/present things we either didn't want noticed or how to bring attention to what was proper.
I have always worn structured undergarments. I’m thin and intend to stay thin, but my undergarments are what makes my outfits look expensive.
Catherine is leaps and bounds far more beautiful, classy and better dressed than Megs. Meg's see-through pleated skirt is SO tacky 😒
Some said she didn't know the sun would do that. Rubbish. She knew
I loathe that thing she did wth that strand of hair....even wearing a beautiful tiara....what was wth the hair....
Princess Catherine is the master of perfect dressing
She listens to stylists
Or her stylist is really pro
She has problems too. The wind, her dresses, and nothing under her panty hoes don’t go together. Check photos.
She's got an awesome stylist that she's had for years. She doesn't pick her clothes.
Waity the flasher goes commando. Pictures of her naked butt are all over the internet.
This is perhaps why Catherine, Princess of Wales, typically looks quite polished and put together.... she considers how her outfits will look in photographs and she chooses undergarments that fit her and work well with the outfit. (I'm a bit biased because I think Princess Catherine will look great in most things. She's very fit and has a long torso, which I'm so envious of.)
Yes, please do a bra video! Strapless bras are the worst. I hate them!
(I hate the few I own I should say.. Definitely doesn't fit correctly; too tight and giving cookie cutter, for sure 😊. Lol.)
Princess Catherine and MM have similar shape bodies, although POW is taller. She has learned what works for her and accentuates her good features and minimizes the less (i.e. no waist.) while MM has this fantasy look she wants to have and doesn't moderate how she wants to look to the actuality of her body style. Work with it, not against it.
I got a fab strapless bra ...cant remember the make but the under strap is liw and the bra has like fingers inside it looks great under clothes
There was the green dress Catherine wore to EarthShot in Boston - I remember being surprised that you could see the outline of her strapless bra but that is the only time I can think of.
Princess Catherine, imo, is the most beautiful woman in the world. Everything about her.
I’ve always been convinced that Meghan buys clothes that are a size (or two) too small for her because she cares more about the size than how the garment actually looks.
Or too big!...

That grey dress picture, I’ve seen that same exact problem on her several times. It’s like she can’t see it, because you know she looks at the pictures later.
If she had noticed the first problem you would think she would have fixed it down the road.
@@aligrotts6400 I agree… I have to assume that for some reason she thinks that overly tight look is attractive. There are SO many outfits that she looks squeezed into. She went through a phase while in England and early in their time in the US, that she was just a little bit heavier than she is these days. It’s almost like she thought she looked smaller if she was squeezed in, when in reality it really ruins the look of a nice piece if clothing.
Look up the huge table cloth..she wore for a wedding....dreadful
@@mariachester950 yes it is! I didn’t dislike her at that point, but I remember thinking that it didn’t seem to have been fitted to her very well, which considering the event and the cost of the dress, that it would have been adjusted up to the very last couple hours if needed to fit her perfectly, yet it wasn’t, and I found that surprising. Aside from that part I thought it was very plain and didn’t do her any favors at all. But I figured if that was the way she was comfortable, it’s her dress and her day. But that was before I knew how awful she was as a human being, and now that I do, it’s almost more baffling that when she had the absolute situation to look her absolute best, money no object, she can’t seem to see what even looks good on her.
Usually newly successful stars look a little awkward at first and then learn what looks good on them, usually by getting help from professionals etc, but she has continued to look stuffed in, wrinkled and/or shapeless in everything she wears.
I'm someone who typically wears the same bras for like a decade (i know, it's bad). But, my husband recently treated me to very expensive bras that a professional assisted me with... and let me tell you what a difference a good bra and fit makes! My husband said i instantly had a more confident posture and it made my clothes appear to fit even better! The high price tag is justified because like i said people like me buy bras once in a blue moon so it practically pays for itself over time. Totally worth it.
How could your bras last decades?!? Breast folds create sweat, sweat ruins bras! Them was some rotty bras! Your hubby did you a big favour. The peak of your breasts should be level with halfway down your forearm, no matter your age or size. That would definitely affect your posture!
That's great! I also get a Lot of wear from my bra's. And they seem to last forever. I wash them in a bag and hang them to dry. But for anyone that doesn't think that's possible; it is. Maybe everyone isn't alike.
So, they're a worthy investment.
@@miriamm2978 holy smokes I'm not a gorilla!

I remember when the talk of her wedding dress came out. The fit was so bad people wondered how you can spend that much money and not have a tailored dress for that big of a day.
It was said that she wasn't setting aside the time for proper fitting and kept changing her mind that they couldn't make it look better.
I would expect it to be the same for all her clothes.
Her wedding dress was ugly and plain. I didn’t watch the wedding but did see the pictures afterwards and I was expecting something elegant and feminine and amazing. But when she showed up with that plain fabric draped around her my head nearly exploded. I’m glad the designer house charged her a fortune because it was a monstrosity
I thought about her wedding dress too, and I think she told Haz-no-balls that she was pregnant and had to keep up the ruse of "adjusting the dress, for a swelling tummy." Combine that with just being lazy with organising appointments (think - not pre-booking the tiara for the hairdresser and leaving the flower girls alterations to the absolute last minute). I think she left her wedding dress alterations to the last minute and she just had to go with it. I also think she is obnoxious enough to think that everything looks good on her, so she could "wing it"....
I remember posting in a FB group how much I hated her wedding dress and I got called racist so many times. I hated the dress because it was hideous and badly made.
@@laurenecarter246 on another channel they were talking about a court statement of H’s where he is talking about a baby before they were married. Good observation
I watched a commentary on the wedding and the owner of Say yes to the dress Atlanta said the dress need at least one more fitting
I think that this 'problem' is more indicative that no one wants to work with her as a dresser. "Tell me you can't find good staff without telling me you can't keep your staff..."
I remember as a child my mom always wore a full length silk slip and her clothes always looked beautiful. Even as a child we wore half slips. I wouldn’t even know where to buy one now that is made in the US. For my bras, I always buy from France or Italy. They fit so beautifully. I just joined your channel today and have already watched three episodes. My sisters and I were taught from a young age how to sew by our mom, how to fit things properly. I do love all your very helpful tips. Thank you 🦋🦋
Yes please. More videos on properly fitting undergarments. Yes, bras, slips, spanx, body shapers, petticoats......all of it. It's very difficult to find good information on wearing the correct foundation garments the correct way. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. ❤
Also how to “decode” the best size for your particular, sometimes unconventional, shape .. 🙈
Yes! And what to do when you live in FL. We don't have hoop skirts!
Your chats are so informative --thank you.
There used to be “corseteers” back in the day. A woman who would take your measurements to properly size your under garments. Bras, slips, girdles, etc. I wear “petty pants” often with my fuller skirts and some dresses., especially when I’m in public places. Old habits are hard to break! But I’m never showing lines or my bottom!
I know she can’t help her tiny ankles with long feet but surely lower heels might help her legs look less bowed.
@@montanacrone8984 tbh I think she is beyond help .. while lower heels may help her legs look less bowed, I suspect that they might also make her look like she was wearing a pair of canoes on those enormous feet.
You're right. It is amazing that she looks so bad for the outrageous $$$ spent. She also doesn't iron her clothes. Very sloppy.
I don’t think I have ever seen someone in the public eye to keep dressing so disastrously!
I love listening to your critiques and fashion advice. I grew up in the 70s and we NEVER wore shoes without stockings (unless they were sandals with a sundress) and ALWAYS wore a slip. We never showed bras straps and always checked in the mirror before leaving the house to make sure nothing was showing. Girls love vintage clothing, but wonder why they can't pull off "the look". It's all about the foundation!
Honestly clothes just felt better, and I still hate the feeling of shoes without socks or stockings. I hope that your education will lead more young ladies to understand the details of dressing and the value it brings to them as a person. As you said, we judge with out eyes, and don't even know why some things look pleasing and some don't. You aren't just "trashing" someone's appearance, you are educating and I love listening to you! Thanks!
You are so very correct about wearing the right undies. I actually went to classes at department stores to learn about what to wear to look good.
I think bare legs are never as pretty as wearing hosiery. At some point broken capillaries decide to appear, tiny varicose veins start to pop, tanning starts to leather the legs, leg makeup starts to wear off on clothes.
In co-ed elementary school I wore socks. And I always wore a slip - either full or half. In co-ed junior high I started out wearing a garter belt with corresponding hose because panty hose and elastic thigh highs had not been developed yet. A bit later elastic thigh highs became available and I wore those until... skirts got shorter and the elastic peeked out. Oh no!!! Back to the garter belt.
But then a miracle occurred!!
Pantyhose!!! No garter belt, smoother tummy, no worries in shorter skirts. Legs looked good.
How about pants? Simple. We were not allowed to wear pants or jeans to public school. We started wearing pant suits with pantyhose to college. A VERY few "hippies" wore jeans.
After college, I worked as an engineer and I wore dresses, suits, and pant suits always with pantyhose and heels.
Oops, almost forgot - I ALWAYS WORE A BRA since my grandmother told my mom that she needed to take me to get fitted with different kinds of bras. I was 9 years old. The year was 1963.
To be fair, I’m 33 and I remember wearing slips underneath my dresses for church all throughout elementary. But as I got into middle school, Walmart no longer carried undergarment slips. It became much more uncommon. I never understood why.
People started dressing differently, practically naked so there was no need for undergarments. I used to wear them too and yes they are difficult to find now.
Same! I was at Target looking for slips the other day and it was definitely slim pickings

A-lot have closed but there’s still close to 20 in the USA and always can order online 👍
Most of us learned, beginning around middle school with “don’t wear colored underwear under white jeans,” to be mindful of our undergarments. And Meghan seems to have stunted around college age and the Victoria’s Secret lingerie moment, thinking slinky and lacy is always better. It really does look cheap and thoughtless. We never see the outlines of Catherine’s undergarments; you’d think Meghan would have had access to the same sort of advice and assistance. Maybe she just thinks her way is better and won’t listen. Did anyone catch the crumpled flamingo look at the Lakers game?
Well Catherine has a great mother who she probably gets tips from time to time and in comparison to Meghan, Doria wasn’t around to teach her a thing or two…but she’s a narcissist and know it all…no one’s advice is good eniugh
Rumpled flamingos- hilarious! I thought it looked like reusable shopping bags.

For what its worth, I totally agree. Meg had no excuse for going out in public looking sloppy & unkept! With all the money she got given for clothing her choices were dismal.
Its as though she deliberately chose to look that way so she'd get critised so she could claim victimisation & to be a victim of RACISM!
All i can say is she must not have had a reliable fashion advisor, or the advisor had REALLY crappy taste.

All clothes look best with the proper undergarments-there is a reason they were called “foundation garments” back in the day! You can also look slimmer with the proper bra…drives me nuts when I see a woman in an ill-fitted bra! We look better with support. And I know good bras are expensive as heck-hand wash or use lingerie bags and then line dry. I never put them or my slimmers into the dryer.
Bras never in the dryer.
@@sandytaylor3404 the only bras that go in the dryer are the ones that are worn out & I only wear to work in the yard. And, that's only on low, when I need to wear it & it's still wet.
@r.bellbottom8964 I agree and I always think about the Queen when she was young, she is tiny in height but had the perfect hourglass figure and quite busty but you never ever saw her undergarments. Obviously as she got older her shape changed and Ms Kelly chose the perfect outfits for her with a matching hat and always looked fabulous especially at Royal weddings.
I remember an interview with the girls in Gossip Girl and they mentioned that the most important garment they had was their underwear. Their wardrobe designer made sure that they had the best and most comfy undies which helped them be more confident with their apparel. I don't understand why MM would deliberately sabotage herself like this.
I think she does not care. She wants attention, whether it is good or bad. Either way, photos of her are displayed and discussed
Thanks so much for discussing the forgotten slip. It seems no one wears a slip anymore, with the disappointing result that skirts and dresses don't flow correctly over the body, they slide between the legs and crotch, and generally ruin many a lovely outfit. I bemoan the loss of the slip. Also, the seeming love of clothing that is too small is a trend we could do without. Clothes should skim the body, not pucker and crease. Are all the clothing designers in the world cringing at this?
What I saw was a transition from dressing well to a general degrade of structure and tailoring over time. I think she listened to her advisors and staff about styling and protocol to begin with because she needed to win that prize, and over time, her true arrogance came out. She thought she knew better and her assistants throwing their hands up in defeat and saying, "Fine, do what you want."
I have been looking for a video like this for so little long. This women seriously needs someone to tell her what clothes to pick I swear 😒
Yes, especially since she left the Royal family, it’s worse 😬
But of course she won't listen cause she knows better
Like with her wedding dress, she insisted on alterations right up until the morning she got married, it's no wonder nothing fits right, they can never finish it in time 😂. She really needs someone to dress her, because she can't dress her body type.
Lakers Game was another awful outfit, she looks like she just grabbed something from the Laundry Basket😅
Megan Markle is a bigger State than Texas..She hasn't got a clue about what suits her..She thinks because the clothes she wears are very expensive, they will look perfect on her..She needs to take a dam good look in a full length mirror..She makes expensive clothes look like cheap clothes..
She can never compete with Princess Catherine
My mother was a seamstress. The first thing she learned to design and build were undergarments. What I learned about how undergarments contribute to the fit of your over garments cannot be over-rated.
The brassiere is so important and I used to wonder why Megan didn’t have her underwear custom-made. I just figured that she is small chested and likes high-end clothing, but never learned how to dress for her body. Poor thing.
I suspect that a variety of stylists have tried to advise her. However, the narcissist, which is what many of us think MM is, always thinks they know better than anyone else and also thinks they look fabulous. Hence the continued bad clothing options.
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig
OH YEAH! 😂😹
Thanks so much for this, Beebs! Her lack of proper undergarments has been driving me crazy for forever. She looks so disheveled and unkempt. She picks clothes whose styles do not work for her at all. Combine this with no proper under garments, you've got a disaster!!
Smegers thinks she is oh, so, sexy when she shows her private parts.
Cookie cutter omg I laughed so hard😭
Also we all do better with h&m clothes than meghan does with the best designer clothes! It just never made sense to me..money definitely doesn't buy style!
I always wonder WHY someone didn’t tell her that showing her bra under clothing looks SO unprofessional and like she’s 15 and wants to show everybody she’s wearing one! Not classy Meg!
Sweetheart, your hair, and your worries about humidity and frizz, are very much like my own daughter's. And I will tell you, as I tell her: You hair looks gorgeous! Don't worry about the occasional bit of frizz, stray hairs, weather! IT LOOKS SENSATIONAL, as do you!!! Totally love your looks, your impeccable makeup, your hairstyles, your exceptionally pleasant, articulate and well-modulated voice! You are a true gem!
Thank you 💛
I agree❤❤
We were taught in sewing classes at school that dresses and skirts ALWAYS hang better if either lined or worn over a full or half slip. Blouses and jumpers also look better worn over a camisole top or full slip. My mother was taught this in the 1950s, we were taught this in the 1970s, in the 1980s when I attended comportment classes we were taught that to be classy - even if you couldn't afford more than really cheap dresses or skirts - you need to wear a full or half slip and no matter how cheap your dress is it will hang as if it is an expensive purchase.
For someone who has worked in the film and television industry I can't believe NOBODY has ever explained the facts of looking good to Meghan [and I'm at the stage now where the first think I do if I see a picture of her is to look for the obvious strapless bra-line, so obvious in so many outfits.
And wearing your dress unbuttoned like that doesn't make you look sexy, it makes you look cheap as in ''exotic dancer'' cheap. Something else we were taught in comportment classes [mainly intended for those interested in becoming models but really for anyone who wanted to learn how to walk properly, sit nicely, dress expensively on a budget for whatever reason - mainly work related in fairness] was that allowing bra straps or the lacy bits to show was something that would probably leave you languishing in the typing pool or working behind the scenes rather than in public where the general populace would meet you and see you, same with clothes so tight that the outlines of your underwear could clearly be seen. It just makes you look cheap and unprofessional, great for a waitress or dancer or someone intending to ''sleep'' their way to the top but NOT for professional people intending to have a career and make their way through hard work and ability rather than soft/horizontal surfaces.
100% agree we were brought up with underskirts and slips etc and the appropriate undergarments for different outfits otherwise they dont look / hang right and a good seamstress to fit the garments correctly helps greatly too
Exactly. My Grandmother would have phrased the situation a little more bluntly. You dress according to what you're selling, and for most of us, most of the time, whatever is in your underwear isn't interesting to other people. Most importantly for social interactions, *you* aren't the main event. I can't understand why MM struggles with this when plenty of better advice is available. It's nothing to do with wealth. I know plenty of women who don't even try to be classy, but they understand why they wouldn't turn up at a funeral or christening showing a lot of cleavage. It's not rocket science. Apart from her wedding day, none of these events that MM is seen at should be focused on her, at all.
H. G. Tudor calls the green dress Kermit goes to church I can't think of it as anything else now. I found your channel, I like that you often show examples of how to wear it correctly.
Back at the beginning, I believed that MM was deliberately wearing bad outfits, to cry to H " they are so mean to me ".
I agree because she never intended to stay in Britain.
,Lumpy Stumpy and Frumpy - the woman has no sense of style, just wants expensive.
My mother told me that it was most important to wear quality undergarments. Good undergarments can make any outfit look good. And dress for the occasion.
She definitely has her hair straightened/relaxed. Photos of her as a child shows her natural hair texture.
Im a senior and we always wore slips with skirts and dresses, Had a collection of half slips as well as full in dark and i white colours to match the fabric of the dress
Remember the slippery pants liners/slip for thin material pants?
And pettipants for culottes.
@Linda Fletcher: Yes, me too … I had a real collection!
Anyone that thinks slips are “granny-ish”, what about the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor in the film “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”.
I'm a Senior and still do have and always will wear slips with my garments. They look much more polished with slips underneath. I still wear hats and gloves with my dressier outfits too and always have and will. Blessed Be Ladies. 💕😘
(THAT is one of the huge differences about "her".
She is not a LADY. )
A Colorado Mountain Grandma USA 💜✌️😁
The first rule of dressing nice and looking polished is dont ignore the foundation! The right undergarments make all the difference in how things fit and look. You are spot on with this! And yes do a bra segment please.
I’m a 67 year-old large woman and a DDD. The first lesson my Mom ever taught me about style was that good undergarments are non-negotiable. I buy well made bras that fit me perfectly and honey, those girls are still half way between my armpit and my elbow. I also wear strapless bras, even under t-shirts. I found what works best through trial and error and stick with it. I think your content is very good and I enjoy listening to you and appreciate you talking about etiquette. My dear Mom also had me take etiquette classes to make me more comfortable in social situations. I was 13 and use the information to this day.
I am a professional women in my 50’s and I am learning SO MUCH from you!! Now if I knew where to purchase these undergarments, and smooth layers….lol. Seriously, thank you!
the internet
Macy's and Nordstrom have bra fitters who can advise you on undergarments. It makes it so much easier because they show you exactly how to work with your shape and what you need. I went trial and error for a couple of years and it was expensive. I got rid of most of it and invested in good pieces that fit well.
@@kateg7298 Thank you so much for the great tips !
The see-through pleated skirt moment reminded me of when Diana was beginning her relationship with Charles - not even sure if they were engaged yet. The paparazzi took photos of Diana outside the daycare she worked at and her floral skirt was thin - the sun was shining and you could see her undies...she was completely mortified...I wouldn't be surprised if Meghan ditched the slip on purpose.
@Angela Embry Imo that was her purposeful intention.
Great point! Meghan seems compelled to copy every iconic Diana photo. I wouldn’t be surprised if the “nursery school teacher” photo was her inspiration. Unfortunately, Diana was YOUNG, informally dressed, and posed in sunlight with toddlers. Meghan was forty, wearing a formal outfit, and wearing underwear that looked like Granny panties. A swing, and a miss! You’re out!
On point observation but Diana was mortified and MM was looking for attention. Huge difference and it says volumes about Meghan’s personality.
Yep creepy copying Diana again
i was thinking the same, that photo is iconic and natural, also diana was very young at work and not meeting the public
Another thing I recently learned about Court Etiquette, as we'll call it... if one is wearing a coat when out and about, when it's cold out, for example, they may NOT take it off! So it is part of one's outfit, and there's no fussing and taking it on and off.
Who knew? 😅
It has never failed to astonish me that people will spend thousands on clothes - and pay no attention to their undergarments at all! So many women wear the wrong size/shape of bra - but having visited a few brashops/depts in the US when we were on holiday, they just didn't know how to fit me! You don't tell someone to wear a 38DDD if they're actually a 36H!! It just doesn't work.
The Markle started the way she meant to go on with her wedding dress (which didn't even fit her and seemed to want to stand up on its own). It may have looked okay when she put it on, but the act of getting out of the car and walking into the church clearly caused the bra to be dragged down, and she spent the entire time she was on camera looking like she had 4 boobs. I couldn't take my eyes off her bust! Just awful.
Maybe she does have 4.
I have a real conundrum when it comes to bra size. I'm a plus size with a small cup. I had worn bras that were 2 cup sizes too big for most of my life because I couldn't find any at the local stores. I experimented a couple of years ago by going down 2 sizes and up 2 cup sizes. I needed an extension to make it fit around my body. That didn't work either. So, I finally looked on Amazon for the size that was 1 cup size down from my original too big cup size. I found that my favorite bra mfg made my size in the proper cup size. I was so thrilled to find a bra I didn't need to pad or have to have an extension for it to fit around my body.
We used to wear a slip with dresses as a smooth over layer. Strangely they work.
I think her priority is items need to cost a lot. That is her priority. Fitting well, appropriateness for the event, and color are way down her list.
In contrast, Princess Catherine always looks immaculate in her clothes. Always properly fitted with, obviously, the appropriate under garments for the style and fabric.😊
The green dress was problematic for the event. It was a service for Commonwealth Day in which Royal Family members wear red, white, or blue.
For those that thinks she makes her typical disastrous choices in fashion on purpose. I think it is pretty clear she does. When in photos with the Royal Family she is often the odd one out wearing a very noticeably different color. In her Jr. PR mind she is just making sure she stands out, but in reality she looks petty and ridiculous. I think for a photo of Louis' baptism, everyone in the photo was wearing blue and she wore a dark olive color. When she was told to wear a hat she didn't, told a color scheme she wore something else, and asked designers/fashion houses for freebies (another no no for the Royals). Pretty sure her venue/climate mismatches with her 'styles' are along the same line.
Wearing that green thing to Commonwealth Day, when she was aware of the "dress code" was so disrespectful!
I have friends of friends who were invited to Balmoral by the late Queen. They knew that they had to take lots of evening dresses in lots of different colours because it would've been considered rude if one of them was wearing the same colour as the Queen at dinner. So that everyone knew, a note would be left in their bedrooms saying what colour the Queen would be wearing that night.
I loved the green dress sans the bra
I owe Beebs a vote of thanks for this video. I used to be quite thin with a very defined waistline and I knew how to dress to suit my body type. Due to medical conditions I have put on a lot of weight and am now more apple shaped and I no longer know what suits me. The tips about undergarments I found to be very helpful and I will be buying a new bra and getting a knee length shapewear petticoat to wear under the outfit I have purchased to wear at my son's wedding in September (Aussie springtime). So thank you for the tips.
She was told to wear navy or blue by the RF for this event but she refused to listen or accommodate them and deliberately wore this green mess 🤮
You know that back in the day - most of these undergarment issues were taken care of with 9thgrade home ec classes. I was astounded to hear Opra state on one of her talk shows - " Do you
that people still wear slips?! " l was astounded that someone of her wealth did
not know to wear slips. I would not be caught
dead without a slip under my dress at church!!!
r talk shows " Do you mean people still wear
There’s simply no excuse for Meghan’s lack of proper foundation garments; anyone proposing to be serious about fashion and styling is well aware of the importance of correct posture along with correct fit and choice of undergarments so the expensive clothing worn over them looks it’s best.
It’s not as if she wasn’t given information as a new member just as Catherine was-reportedly the Queen herself gently chided Catherine and suggested she have hem weights sewn in (as HMTQ did) after a full skirt was blown upward when exiting a plane-one the Cambridge’s first Australian tours I think. Unlike Meghan, thankfully Catherine WAS wearing a slip so that’s why nothing more was exposed by the gust.
She took that advice seriously and hasn’t put a foot or hem wrong since.
Thank you for pointing these basics out for the younger generations who didn’t have someone in their family to likewise guide them on the importance of foundation garments.
Catherine used to squat down to attend to the children, showing way too much thigh, and her skirts are often too lightweight and not structured enough in my opinion.
I think the blue see-through outfit was her way of recreating the Diane moment.
I hadn’t thought of that
The difference was that Lady Diana Spencer was not a member of the Royal family when she was photographed in her light cotton skirt. Once she was taken under the Royal household she took their advise and help to dress in a more appropriate way for some one who would be under public scrutiny.
@M Sky, that is exactly what I thought.
@Angeles Brown. If I remember correctly, at the time Diana said she had forgot her to wear her slip that day.
I thought that exact same thing. It was an attempt to recreate the Diana “see through” moment.
@@marilyncrabtree1033 yes, and I think 18 and not part of the royal family as yet.
There's no need to explain WHY how we groom ourselves is important. It is NOT "shallow". Dressing the best that we're able to, shows respect for ourselves and respect for others. Respect is the foundation for all positive human interactions.
Keep up the great work!!! Very much enjoy your presentations!
💛
Very good advice..
Notice the ''armpit stains'' when she wore the brown turtle neck.
She thinks $ = class 😐
The more I spend on the outfit and the lingerie under, the more people will be drawn to me…. WRONG!
I've learned over the years that the best foundation garments are often quite unglamorous, and not the little lacey nothings we'd rather wear. I'm a seamstress and can also make custom undergarments. The glamorous gowns especially will often have their own custom-fitted undergarments that are meant to be worn beneath the dress, often corselets integral to the dress itself. It looks very much like Meghan buys 'designer' off the shelf and does not get them tailored to her. She would do so much better to forget the designer labels and spend the money getting bespoke for the important events. And they would cost less than designer.
It just dawned on me that The Duchess Was raised by her father during her teen years. Is it possible that she never learned the basics of women’s apparel and now that she thinks so highly of herself she isn’t interested in advice from others. One of those famous designers that she wears should stipulate that particular undergarments must be worn if she is going to be seen in their designs.
She would have learned it in her sorority unless she was already sure she knew everything by then.
But she has had access to all the proper advice as the wife of Harry. She doesn't have to look for it, but simply pay attention.
If I were a fashion house, though I want her money, I would not what her to disgrace my brand! I would want her to wear my competition's clothing to make my brand look superior!
I had heard about the dress or skirt that was a see through....hadn't ever seen it before. She had to have known that! One of my first questions to somebody, before going out in public, is, "Can you see through this, do I need a half slip?" And I am nowhere a fashion freak. She knew and played naively; probably turned Haz on. jmo.
I still can't believe she looked in the mirror and thought "i am looking good", especially the red turkey dress. The tan lines are a disaster. She manages to make everything look cheap
She's a raging narcissist, that's how! 😊
Never looks in the mirror as she has no reflection 🧛♀️🧛♀️
Definitely do a Megan hair video. She had the chance of a thousand lifetimes and blew it in all respects. She looked ridiculous in almost everything she wore and her hair looked awful so much of the time, too. It is SO easy to have a gorgeous looking updo (many videos on YT and the updos take a minute or two but look so glamorous), there was no reason for her general sloppiness and those hair pieces hanging down in her face all the time. If I were the queen, I definitely would have said something to her about it. Anyway, love your channel!
totally agree - a real lady should never has any hair flying all over her face, look at Princess Anne, the late Queen and Kate
Even for her wedding to Harry her hair looked messy
@@janeregan2930 I am sure the RF got a whole team of hair stylist / expert on advising her how she should present herself , esp on wedding day. But she just goes her low way
@@Mellowbeee so true
I can't understand when you have nice long hair to completely discard it
Sad really
I wouldn't be surprised if the see through pleated blue skirt, was an attempt to insinuate a link to the famous picture of Diana, whilst still a kindergarten worker, in a skirt with the sun shining behind her making it see through. Especially as Megain is obsessed with mimicking Diana!
Absolutely
To me, it's just insane to spend thousands of dollars on a designer dress to 'look good', but opt out of a 50 dollar foundation garment so that your designer dress actually does look great.
I use your videos as a learning tool. And YES, I’d love more samples and infos on all foundation wear. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.
I wish manufacturers made better bra choices for large busts. For instance they don't make t-shirt bras for my size 40K. It's so frustrating!
I have just learnt so much. I have no one to teach me these wonderful woman life lessons. Keep teaching it all please. I know Meaghan didn’t dress well but now I know how to dress myself even better. ❤
She simply wasn’t taught to behave in a lady like fashion .. she had no mother to teach her any of the ways a lady acts or dresses… but.. after 20 years as a grown ass adult, wouldn’t ya think she’d learn from other women around her???
I'd love to see a video on undergarments for senior ladies. Gravity is not flattering. Most of us want to look nice and ladylike but simplicity and comfort is even more important. Can you help us Beebs?
Our mothers always yelled at us "put on a slip!" They can be hard to find, as people don't even wear hose anymore. I use a black silk nightgown. Works a charm.
I found your site today just in time to hear someone expressing shock at the way Meghan dresses. From what I read, she has been in the entertainment side of life for many years. It would seem to me she would have learned some tricks of dressing for the event. I'm amazed at how racy this lady tries to be at all times. I would think she is an embarrassment to the Royal Family, but she doesn't care. Yes, I'd like to see a show on bras. Speak to the work-a-day ladies who is restricted by the budget, giving helpful hints. Thanks!
You are spot on. If Meghan was a kind person her fashion faux pas wouldn’t matter so much. However her unkindness, lies and hypocrisy just makes us scrutinise her all the more.
She is unteachable, and having a yacht girl background where dressing less was more for her, cheap mindset just showed through. She thought too well of herself to be mentored on proper etiquette and decorum. The late queen saw through all that, but as she's the current wife of "Spare", and is not critical whether she comes through to represent the RF in the long run.
I believe she was counting on her face and the status of the dress/designer to impress, and never thought twice about the undergarments.
The last dress she wore she actually had FOUR people helping her dress. You’d think one of them would’ve told her about requisite foundation garments -not to mention how insanely over priced it was…
For her personality type, any and all press is good. She got everyone talking🤪 So, her mission is accomplished.
B, I think a lot of her “ misfires” were a result of her pride- example she told the queen she did not need female mentoring because she had H. In their doc, she comments on how stressful, hard dressing was. As she described it- H chimed in “ it was ridiculous.” She should have accepted help. Thoughts? YES, please do more undergarment additions. Perhaps you could provide some examples from brands that in your opinion are helpful. No idea the difference between shapewear and slip…etc. also undergarment fabric and color advice would be great! 😊
Obviously, her family failed her.
@@margaritaramos3393 according to her, she has no family.
You’re so right.
Overprocessing, overthinking, overexposure of private parts, I really wish she could nail those amazing clothes. But. She kept failing them and making expensive designer clothes tacky.
I came across you the other day, and you crack me up. Because you are not wrong. Not any of it. She makes these beautiful gowns look like she was heading out to the streetcorner😂😂
Yes, please bras and undergarments episode would be great. My mom couldn’t be bothered.
Sounds like one of us could design a perfect bra for ourselves!!
My mother didn't bother. Fist wages I had I bought a bra. heaven.
I just found your channel. I love it. You speak so honest about dressing plus I can use some of the things you talk about in how I dress. Meghan does not have enough class to dress or look appropriately. 💕💕💕

A woman should always wear a slip when wearing a dress made of lightweight fabric so it won’t stick to her legs when sitting.
I watched this because I was curious about the solutions you would offer. And I loved it. I seriously had no idea about any of these options. I always thought spanks were just for slimming or contouring the stomach area. And all the tips on how undergarments show in photographs were amazing!
Looking back I remember I always hated bras because no one thought me how to choose them properly. I'd always get underarms boobs! So I hated them. It took me for ever to understand the right size. I'd love some more tips on how and what to wear as an undergarment! Thanks so much for this video!!! ❤❤
Nothing EVER fits her properly!🤦🏼♀️ The gray is a pretty dress, just not on her. the bunched up middle, ugh. The green is horrific and she should never ever wear that type of hat. ever.
