Some people come across as negative when they think critically about things through a specific lens (past experience).
I think of Mx the same way. Track insurance, the price of real estate and the expense of maintaining high output four strokes is killing the pool of potential future MX stars.
I think Kocinski makes valid points.

i dont agree with all his points, but to put it in simple word: on my opinion the biggest difference between europe and the US is competition in relation to age.
In europe you have close competition in national and european championships for minibikes starting from age 5.
In the US you wont be able to find anything that comes close to the competition in road racing like in european series unless you reach age 10-12.
europeans and especially people living in the spain-france-italy region can earn so much more experince in a competitive environment earlier in their live than americans, making it almost impossible to catch up.

I agree that others don't know America. But the bigger problem is Americans don't know how to euro as it is done now in MotoGP and in F1.
I'm just a nobody, but I was GP obsessed all through the 80s onward. I raced myself, I worked in the US moto racing industry and still have a hand in it.
We have to start thinking like the Grand Prix Commission and Dorna/FIM/IRTA/MSMA.
What are their goals/motivations/concerns/plans? Understanding this is key. Teaching the youngest possible about the mentality through similar race structuring. Add classes that exactly mirror Moto3/2 and GP on the national level. Full electronics suite required. Work out deals to get Ohlins and Brembo into the series. I know that means probably paying at least Ohlins but the vision has to be there to see the long term payoff and understand the value of the investment.
No deal will work for Broasters Chicken or whatever that is just seeking a simple return on ad revenue.
Until the vision is financed in the US it will never happen. The Europeans spend astronomically for the feeder programs, until we do too nothing will change.

If you want americans to win again you need to copy the spanish model. They start training by 4-5 years in riders schools and competing no later than 6. They compete in a very high level and in world class tracks so only the best survive. Not only the spanish riders did, but Stoner, Quartararo, Bagnaia started their carreers in Spain cups(imagine the level of this cups). Also the spanish CEV (home championship) long ago made a smart decission allowing foreingers to compete for the spanish championship. Now CEV is best in class worldwide. BTW: Repsol is 100% private company since 1989. The spanish goverment role was building the best tracks of any country in the world but nowadays teams or cups are not goverment backed.

I don't think John is correct in his statement. First of all an American that is actually winning in Moto GP would be a huge deal for the Championship and for any manufacturer just because of how big of a market US is. That is good thing for Dorna and for every body involved. Just look at F1. Now reason why there is no American rider or any South American rider in the championship lies solely in the fact that younger categories are much, much better organised from the government level through clubs and national championships. Who ever comes on top there is more then ready to come to the world stage. Whole approach is drastically different. Any organisation that wants to be on that level needs to change their approach to racing. And that is the biggest issue in the whole matter.
