    • @le_th_
      @le_th_ Před rokem +2

      Agreed. Yet, that is precisely what it takes, so it's not so much amazing as it is requisite, and to be able to do that while delaying gratification as you are seeing many other old friends and associates getting married, buying homes, having families, becoming attendings, all while you are still a resident. You can't have anything less than sheer will, drive, commitment to excellence, and the resiliency to see this through. Impressive, for sure.

      As a college senior do yourself a favor and choose an easy major during college if you're 100 percent going into medicine. Medical schools accept an major subject so choose something easy so you have alot of time to focus on your science courses which have their own gpa. If you major in something like quantum chemistry but with a low gpa it won't help much that the major is hard .Good luck bro, wishing you the best 💫.

    • @imawatermelon1439
      @imawatermelon1439 Před 3 lety +1

      @@daveyjones3016 Wrong, in America they care which major you choose. You need to take 1 year biology, 2 years chemistry, 1 year calculus, 1 year physics and 1 semester physcology. If you get a degree in liberal arts with a 4.0 and 528 mcats you still will not get in. You need to choose a STEM major.

      @@imawatermelon1439 That's not true. Yes you need to take the prerequisite (chem, english,physics,ochem,maths,ect) science courses but after that you can major in anything you want. If you do all that as a liberal arts major with perfect numbers you can go anywhere you want.
