  • Hey Guys and girls while exploring in France i found this beautiful house deep in the countryside near the alps the doll makers house. We spoke to some locals who said the couple that lived there past away around the year 2000, sadly they had no contact with there children this place now sits empty.
Such a sad story knowing this guy lost all he had and 6 months later he passed away. He died of a broken heart, really touched me walking around this place seeing all here belongings left still how she would have left them.

As an artist/ illustrator/ model builder/ diorama maker, and costume designer, I would make this house my ULTIMATE art studio. I started crying while watching, this is so hard to watch.. I am addicted to old stories and old houses which have been abandoned for years. Idk what to do, make those things clean, or let them live the life they had. It’s s so hard for me to
Imagine that in this house, people have laughed, talked about different topics and cried together too. Everything is kept in these beautiful rooms, items, like once they lived before and now, the time has stopped inside.

This was a once beautiful home, and clearly once filled with love and creativity, but such a sad story. As a senior, who lives with my husband of more than 40 years, with whom I created a business in 1979, and have travelled the world together...I can relate to what it must have been for the one left behind. One day it will happen to either he or myself, and neither one of us is ready for life without the other. I felt their choice of decor a bit busy for my taste, but it must have been what they enjoyed. The tile floor was terracotta, and the wood was called parquet. The archway that was roughly coated was stucco. Thank you for sharing this, and stay safe.🖤🇨🇦

'All things pass into mystery'. Every time I see these kind of abandoned places which have tales of family estrangement, I think you never know. Parents not talking to children, children not talking to parents. You never know unless you're actually living in the family dynamic. Such a lovely house, seems that the people who lived here were so cultured, and they had many interests. I try to think back on the happier times they must have lived 'thru. This is a reminder for all of this of the gross stupidity and waste of time of most family squabbles. Here in Canada, there's been disputes about the family cottage when the parents wanted their adult children to share happy memories together after they were gone, but it all descends into fights and a sense of entitlement. You are so respectful and caring of these abandoned homes and remind us of the importance of trying to live a full life.

What a beautiful home. Thank you for the tour. The chain you found in the closet room is for eyeglasses to hang around the neck when not being worn. Terra Cotta floors are tiles, usually hand made, a red-ish pink, tan color, unglazed or glazed. Wood squares or small strips of wood on the floor are called parquet, sometimes with inlays of wood as a border or center medallion. Tables with designs in different colors of wood are also called inlays or inlaid (as an adjective). I just love your tours and the respect and empathy you show for them.

I love the way you show so much respect to this beautiful home with such a sad back story. The rooms are incredible. The fabric wallpaper is flock wallpaper. The necklace you held up looks like you would of attached each end to reading glasses. The flooring downstairs is parquet and the stone flooring does look like terracotta tiling. Thankyou for sharing this, I have enjoyed every moment.

Loved the staircase, beautiful woodwork and that blue/beige bedroom. If it was his children, why not take the photos? Maybe the children blame their father for their mom's death, or the pain was too much for memories. That home was vandalized by locals, no family member(s) would have made that mess, regardless of their relationship.

In the Philippines, you will rarely see abandoned homes as immediate family or next of kin would take over the place by inheriting or succession. They either have the place rent it out or sell them if they cant live there so nothing goes to waste. I watched these kind of videos as i am reminded we are just passing through and we cant take everything we have accumulated over the years (hence it makes me rethink of my buying habits). It is sad no one was there to collect or give away those lovely things to enjoy and re-use.

Wow Dave, this house is stunning. So sad when you tell the back story,of the people who lived there.just goes to show that there is true love,so sad when one passes, leaving the other all alone.Shame the family did not make peace before their father passed.I bet that house was really beautiful in its day,the furniture what’s there is lovely, the staircase was gorgeous.Looks like they had a good business going, making dolls, and all the other stuff. It is a crying shame, the house is just rotting away.As you said it should be sealed up,to try and save it.Loved the music you put with this video, and you and your friends are really respectful in these places. It is other explorers who trash places, that tar you all with the same brush. But you are one of the best, and very respectful of the places you go to.Loved walking through the woods with you,and seeing those wonderful views.Thankyou Dave, stay safe.xxx

I remember when Daniel first posted this house 🏠, I thought how sad it was but worse is to know that theìr children would not come to the home save some mementos and family photos. They could have opened it up to a very knowledgeable antique shop to make an offer on the belongings. Heck, they could have sold the house before it was so destroyed. It is a shame that history is all lost!! Great video

WoW!!!! What a huge, amazing house. And that long walk through the woods to get there was well worth it for your viewer fans!!!! . However, your knee may certainly feel very differently especially trying to get out of those woods, all up hill. I noticed something very unusual for such a very large house and that was, I saw not one fireplace. How in the world did the owner heat that huge place? I counted approximately 24 rooms in the what 3 or 4 stories of house?? (I thought i saw you go up 3 sets of stairways.) I bet it got pretty chilly indoors. It's very unfortunate that the house has been left to rot, mold, deteriorate, be ripped off and the destroyers will take care of the rest. Thank you so much for sharing your video. Love watching your videos, although it seemed in this one particular video in many shots the camera movement was quite rapid. Which can create dizziness for us viewers. But, i can understand the excitement of seeing so many different things, it could make one want to see everything at once. Keep in mind however that your camera is our eyes, and as quickly as that camera moves around, so do our eyes. Regardless, a very great find. I absolutely love watching your videos. And although I am thousands of miles away in NM, i still feel as though I know you. Stay well, stay safe, be happy, smile and may God Bless you. On to the next!!! Love n ✌️ Peace

I want to thank you Dave, for always being so respectful of the house, it’s always so sad that somebody would go in there and go through their things and take things, and just break into the house.
