I am Mexican and when I went to Santiago de Chile for 10 days, I came back with a burned face like yours, it was like that for many years, the ozono problem in the South! Anyway with Melasma reading the comments have faith that with dedication and patience you will also heal your melasma, I got melasma one year ago from no where, things I think coursed my melasma was hormonal changes from the menopause, heat, infrared sauna and the wrong sunscreen, also I was drinking a lot and eating too much fruit and cakes etc when did happen,
So I have clean up my diet, I got a high quality probiotic, and Cod olive oil, take supplements and even collagen peptides, wear sunscreen that is mineral (chemical does not work for melasma), I do regular turmeric masks mix with yogurt it has to be wild turmeric, and after put a sheet mask to remove any yellow, use niacinamide at night, now is summer so I stop anything that may make my skin sensitive to the sun, I have got rid of 30-% of the melasma and the melasma is very light now,

Don’t hesitate to use acm depiwhite advanced every other day in the beginning and then every nigh ,and vit c serum 30 percent in the morning (the one from the ordinary try it for 1 month and u will thank me
Be careful with using hydroquinone regularly for many months. Apparently, it isn't made for long term use and can actually cause worse damage if used for many months. My dermatologist did not warn me of this. I found out from YT channel Doctorly.
