Is 442 dead? There's been no update to their training blog whatsoever.

But what if there was a mid-week match, how would this weekly program change?

what the hell is this.. ur telling me they train intense twice a week and the rest are light rest days? huh

If they were to train intense all the time their central nervous system would be fried and recovery would be fairly difficult. I imagine on field performance would diminish if intensity during the week is not reduced. It takes the CNS about 48 hours to recover, so you could imagine why it wouldn't be a smart idea to train at maximum intensity all the time.

Yeah it's believable. In-season training looks very different than preseason and off-season. The focus is on making sure the players are fresh for games while still maintaining the players strength/conditioning/skills they built in the off-season. That's why its only two intense sessions a week.
