awesome
Gordon seems like he goes half as hard in real matches. Meregali is an animal!
That's what I thought too. That looked way more intense than any of the recent matches of Gordon's I've watched.
Meregali is probably gonna win ADCC Absolute and then Gordon will pass on the torch to him and just move on to mma or something. They're more valuable to each other as trainning partners
@@marwanshamsia4193 Bro Gordon will never fight MMA.
@@maxxismycat999 I hope he can keep making enough money grappling and coaching so he doesn't need to get into mma. I think the people we see trying mma from grappling are doing it because they need the money while their body is still up to it. I also hope Pena going into mma is out of love for the sport and not just for cash.
Probably due to less concern about getting caught in training and also more emphasis on pushing the pace to train in fatigue, as opposed to trying to conserve.
Meregali and Gordon are soo good it's insane
I'm too impressioned with this sparring with meregali, Meregali evolve so fast in nogi grappling, He did a fucking hard Sparring with Gordon, This sparring was very technical, A true work of art
You talk as if a person who trains mostly Gi is completely clueless without it. It is still BJJ.
The dudes game was de la riva, pulling guard, and loop chokes. Yea it’s impressive. If it was easy to switch Gordon would have tried GI once in the past 10 years.
He's a fucking beast. He's quickly going to become the Prince. Once Gordon decided to retire, Meregali will take the crown and become King
@@Nicatlotus i can confirm i train at a pure nogi school and all the gi only guys that come to our open mats feel 3 belt levels lower when they dont have the gi, they are physicaly strong and have ok defense but there is never any threat of pass sweep or sub, people that occasionaly train nogi or 1 day a week are lacking for the most part.
@@Nicatlotus on that level it is a different game
Really impressed with Meregali. Stays quiet and every time he trains/competes, he just grows leaps and bounds. Gordon looks equally awesome. Very cool footage!
this is better content than pretty much everything on flo and you post it on youtube 😂
I agree you’re 100% right this is phenomenal I could watch this forever
Literally the first time I have seen Gordon go this hard. I did not expect him to wrestle and scramble this well, amazing to see.
this is because nicky rod catch him on a rnc and broke his leg.
@@lukerodriguez7908 and then he lost the match, AGAIN
@@Beastzz77 the entire world knows that Nicky Rod won that fight.
@@lukerodriguez7908
@@lukerodriguez7908 Nicky Fraud
Finally some training footage where high level guys actually hit moves on each other. 🔥
Meregali's positional awareness and timing is very impressive. I guess that transfers perfectly from gi.
Felipe is so screwed. You know Gordon’s sparring with Nicholas is gonna be harder than Felipe match
lol
The conditioning to go at that pace for 30 minutes 😳 I'm gasses after 2 minutes at the rate these guys are going 🤣
Peds help
@@Sui_Generis0 definitely
This is amazing footage, at the age of mid 50's, this is inspiring me to keep training! Ryan works hard and he looks amazing!
Meregali rounds were amazing
It’s terrifying to see Gordon in training mode. His normal game is so slow and methodical, you forget how quick and aggressive he can be.
Notice how they cut the cameras everytime Gordon got chest to chest in half guard.
Ya I was getting mad like let me see the pass lol
Gotta hide trade secrets
We love jiu Jitsu so we want to see that portion of that but to the average spectator .. they want to watch the scrambles and takedowns and dynamic passing/guard retention sequences..
Smother choke
“I wish I could fight Felipe every weekend” 🤣
Such classic GR, he just couldn't avoid a dig at Felipe, love it.
I can't imagine the suffering that comes with that jeep. Poor Gordon
This was amazing. Loved seeing Meregali dishing it out too, earned a new fan.
Now that is one hell of a roll.
The humility on display with that jeep is just of saintly proportions.
Gordon's car struggles are hilarious
Gordon is Gordon when it comes to nogi. But damn has Meregali really improved his nogi.
seeing gordon train like this is interesting, vs his pacing in actual fights. Training harder than the real thing, limit testing and pushing yourself
It reminds me of when geoerges Paint pierre said: i only train like 20-30 Minutes a day but on Maximum effort because i a fight u only go hard for like 20mins at max.
That is an insane pace
I love how the new wave team systematically know how to maneuver through every position , good or bad .
Amazing stuff. Entire New Wave team so good.
Anyone that says Gordon Ryan isn’t athletic is incorrect - I think this was the most intense training I’ve seen from him - Merigali is brilliant 🔥
Nobody says that except Craig jones recently.
@@oldironsides4107 probably just building the hype for future matches 🤔
Bruh Gordon literally said he wasn’t athletic
@@ola_eboda lol, true
These guys are beasts! Wow.
That double leg by Griffith was beautiful. They cut out that part really quick
No room for 7 cars. The endless suffering of Gordon continues.
Looking forward to seeing Taza compete guys a monster
This is mind blowing. What absolute animals
The bodies slapping during the sparring rounds takes me back to my prom night...ahhhh the memories!!!
That was just class, the skill level between these two.jeeeesus
It looks like Gordon’s working on a few things. Great training partners and competition, great video.
nice!!!
great grappling
Meregali/Gordon are going to have a future war against each other on social media at some point in the future, much like Nicky Rod/Gordon. I feel it's inevitable when you have two alphas in the same weight class, on the same team.
Perhaps they agreed not to post the submissions so as not to show anyone up and allow them to be comfortable filming training 🤷♂️
Seems like that was the case
having been in the room, they can definitely go that hard for this period with zero submissions being hit. they're both extremely technical
Wow. Que treinão...
Amazing content! Kind of wished you would have uploaded the whole fights though
Damn What a roll, this is the content we all like 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you for this! Flo fully redeemed themselves with this one
Putting in work
Solid work guys
That was awesome! Thanks for sharing. How come they never competed before?
That's a very nice training session
Sick footage!
The cardio required to keep this pace against that level of opposition is insane. Amazing to watch
great footage
Wow what a scramble 🎉
Amazing roll.👍🏼🇺🇸👍🏼🇺🇸👍🏼🇺🇸👍🏼🇺🇸👍🏼
Excelent training
Definitely drilling tomorrow. Thank you Junny👊
That's why he is the king trains with best goes through the fire luv it
This videos are amazing
Love the jeep!
Incredible content from Flo. New Wave has the best of the best athletes right now. Regarding the car situation with Gordon, I’m slightly worried for his mental health. The dude can’t keep a car for more than a month.
He’s worse at giving cars away
How do you equate not keeping a car to diminished mental health? I'm not sure, but it was implied that he does this to maintain a uncomfortable environment to promote growth. It may appear insignificant, but I would bet at his level, every advantage, no matter how miniscule, could end up being a mental edge and even possibly, the deciding factor in a match. Or am I jumping out the window at joke and looking like a goofball? 🫣
Gordon’s stand up game looking 🔥
Meregali improved so much
He's probably gonna win ADCC Absolute and then Gordon will pass on the torch to him and just move on to mma or something. They're more valuable to each other as trainning partners
@@marwanshamsia4193 is this a real comment? there's a 0% chance Gordon quits bjj just because Meregali wins absolute
@@GiBJJIsForChildren At some point beating everyone again and again becomes boring to watch, mma is a new challenge
@@GiBJJIsForChildren he wont quit, but he did say he will focus on mma once his teammates can win other weight categories/absolute. It was a podcats he was speaking on ( joe rogan ? ).
@@kragi02 i seriously doubt we ever see gordon ryan in mma
This is the hardest we’ve seen Gordon work.
I’d love to see these 2 go at it in a year or two when Meregali has more experience at no-gi
I couldn’t fathom being in a class a rolling next the king!
Looking at the future... see this as the next possible ADCC match
Superhuman endurance, I never get bored with watching how much strategy is involved, every move has an answer, Human chess in 2023.
Epic battle. Gordon is the king, never saw him blast like this for 40 minutes. God i thought i was getting fit managing 3 x5 minute rounds, with 1 minute breaks.
Why is everyone asking about his calf when he clearly talks about it in the video?
I hope that no drama ever comes between these two because they are taking the art to another level by testing each other.
Gordon the 🐐 🔥🔥🔥
Another how to be humble vlog 😊
This was intense
Sparring with meregali was harder than any of his matches on ADCC
Incredible technique
7 cars... I wish I had that amount of "suffering". lol
Please feature Ben more! He's in the background but should be the highlight!
Wow!
The Rolla!!!
He suffered enough with that poor man's 170hp Corrolla
I like the handles to lower the window. It looks like it will help your Jiujitsu. They don't have that option on the Toyota?
i think his jiujitsu would improve a lot more if he just stuck to the fundamentals of homelessness and took the bus to class. Better yet, walking would def improve his jj considerably
So Gordon gets 30 min Meregali, then 10 mins with Luke? ANd he does look like he actually tries alot, which is why it doesnt look like Gordon tries too hard in actual Matches. In training, you wanna get as tired as possible, and then conserve the energy is an actual match. Make in the gym training actual fucking hell so its not hell out there.
I never thought of it this way. Thank you so much!
@@Flash786 we have a saying at our gym "the more you sweat in the gym the less you bleed inbthe fight.
I though this is common knowledge. 🫥
Man, these are serious sparring. They are like watching the fight between a tiger and a dragon
(Oriental expression describing the fight between two strong heroes).
Crazy the shape Ryan’s in… 38 min at that pace is nuts.
Impressive
Nice double leg takedown by Luke!!!
Wow... I have never seen training footage of top BJJ athletes going so hard, especially with the wrestling. Of course it must increase the injury risk quite a but but the outcome is creating mosters
Quite a small Tatami for so many people
Meregali look sharp!
Finally some rolling footage of top guys going hard
Wouldn’t want to be the bottom guy when the top guy is going hard
I'm just here to watch guys hard
Is there a way to watch all the rounds?
Gordon you’ve suffered enough having a less than 200HP car. Wrangler Base is a dope upgrade
Meregali com pouco tempo de no gi conseguiu segurar o Gordon, logo estará no mesmo nível
Viper ... good man. I am about to pull the trigger on one too ... if you need info about the different generations ... let me know. 🤙🏻
Holy smokes that’s so cool to watch them spar! Hopefully no one gets injured.
Jeep FTW!
Meregali guard is starting to march his GI guard - great!
Those boys giving Gordon a harder time than Galvao or Rod or Pena ever has hahahah
God bless our 🤴
Sad the Corolla is gone :( I have one and they are great 👍 😆
“I don’t have room for 7 cars” hahahah what a quote
Meregalli is so legit.
Luke is going to be a beast in a few years
