Ancient Indian Philosophy's Hidden Connection With Theoretical Physics: Part 2

  • Central to Buddhist philosophy, the concept of interconnectedness provides a perspective that
intricately threads the Buddhist understanding of existence. Known as 'Pratityasamutpada' in
Sanskrit, this tenet, often translated as 'Dependent Origination' or 'Dependent Arising', forms the
backbone of the Buddhist understanding of reality.
This principle, eloquently elucidated in various Buddhist texts and sutras, posits that all
phenomena - the 'dharmas', do not occur in a vacuum. It negates the existence of independent,
inherently existent entities. Instead, it proposes that each phenomenon arises, persists, and ceases
due to a network of interconnected causes and conditions. From the most momentous celestial
events to the minutest atomic fluctuations, from the intricate web of biological life to the subtle
streams of thoughts and emotions, everything arises due to an intricate interplay of myriad
    factors.
Underlying this sophisticated philosophical tenet is a deeper insight into the nature of existence:
nothing stands alone, and everything is interconnected. '
Our existence isn't isolated but intimately
linked to the world around us, entwined in an intricate dance of interdependence. The food we
eat, the air we breathe, the thoughts we think, all emerge out of and merge back into this
interconnected web of life. Our individuality is not a solitary, self-contained existence, but an
emergent property of the interrelations that we are part of.
Buddhist teachings also reveal that misunderstanding this interconnectedness can lead to
'Dukkha', often translated as suffering. The illusory perception of a separate, independent self can
engender a sense of alienation, a feeling of isolation and loneliness, and a propensity to act out of
selfishness, greed, and aggression, leading to suffering for oneself and others. On the contrary,
realizing this interconnectedness can lead to wisdom, compassion, and 'Nirvana', the cessation of
    suffering.
This profound interconnectedness is beautifully encapsulated in the metaphor of 'Indra's Net', an
imagery derived from the 'Avatamsaka Sutra' of Mahayana Buddhism. Envision a cosmic,
multidimensional net, spread infinitely in all directions, with a perfect jewel at each node. Each
jewel, pristine and luminous, perfectly reflects every other jewel in the net. The reflection of one
jewel contains the reflections of all other jewels, and those reflections contain all others ad
infinitum. This imagery paints a vivid picture of the infinite interconnectedness and
    interpenetration of all phenomena.

Yat Pinde Tat Brahmande - an ancient Sanskrit verse which can be interpreted as “All that is outside you is within you,” or “Your body is a miniature universe.” Pindanda means "microcosm" and Brahmanda means "macrocosm"; thus, a more literal translation would be “Whatever is in the microcosm is also in the macrocosm.”
You are a Universe within the Universe.
    You are part of Nature.
Use Nature's own properties to balance yourself.

You got it wrong. Let's try again. Emptiness is form. But form is not emptiness. Why? Because in 'form' you can find all tings, including emptiness.

If Maha Vihara's like Nalanda, Vikramashila, Sompuri, Odantapuri, Vallavi, Jagadalla etc were not destroyed ,then Indian subcontinent would still would have been known as "Jagat Guru" like it used to be and more then 60% of population would still have been Buddhist.

7:21 even archaeologists know that. They found out we all came from Africa when the land mass was one piece. Then the Teutonic plates shifted and we got 5 pieces that separated. Imagine if it hadn’t though. 😮

That's just ideas that people come up with.... that we came from Africa. Some are actually saying that the first humans came from Ireland. What the heck! The question is: does there need to be only one first location (linear thinking) for us to appear on this planet?

"Karma klesha xaya mokshya" meaning uprooting of klesha ( emotional defilements) and cutting the grasping of karma ( good or bad) is mokshya. And Untill and unless Abidhya ( ignorance ) that is Sahaja aatma graha( spontaneous grasping to self) is the root of ignorance , even if one thinks body is not me but there something within me that is real me , is a grasping too.If there is me then there is always others ( subject object duality), grasping(raag) for me and mine and hatred (dwesha)for those whichvis treat to it and dullness(moha) if it is neutral emerges which are called klesha's . And physical and verbal action derived from these klesha( mental factor) creats imprints of karma in mind continnum , and due to these karma and Trishna ( longing for being ) we are born again and again .Hence, untill one see directly through vipasanna ( there are thousands of vipassana in ( shravakyana , Mahayana ( sutra and Tantra yana) ) that there is nothing that is unchanging , independent and eternal that can be point out as me .Seeing this directly slowly cuts the grasping of self deeply and gradually it looses it's grip totally and that is the real liberation as pointed by Lord Buddha and is the main difference from other indian spritual traditions.
