This bag is soooooo cute! The fabric is by Sarah Watson - Forest Floor - Into The Woods. I did an image search for it! lol
Ahhh thank you!
I like watching cutting/interfacing videos because I pick up more efficient ways to do it. Watching you do it makes me feel like I’m practicing and getting faster by watching you if that makes sense. A lot of tutorial videos leave that step out, but it’s the most tedious part for me and I like learning how to speed it up.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the info too!
Love your comments as you cut. That is where the real pearls are. Tips are great.
Glad you find them helpful!
What everyone else says! I enjoy seeing the prep stage and the product (types) that you use. Don’t be afraid that you might be “dumbing” us down. Some of us need the extreme tutoring.
I totally agree. I learn so much from your teaching techniques. I am unable to attend your workshops so these types of videos are the closest I get to learning the tiny things that aren’t in the written instructions. Thanks for all you do.🌺
You’re very welcome!
Love all your explanations for how you cut….and Druzy on the interfacing !😂😂
Lol she’s a great pattern weight 😂
Love how you explain everything, being human and an amazing person, I love working with cork and fabric and you show me how to deal with cork.❤❤😊😊😍😍
Thank you so much!
I like the cutting and interfacing videos. I like watch the designer cut out their own pattern. It's nice to see yall perspective and your thought process. Wyatt comes natural or common sense to you, may be a learning moment for us. Sometimes the way I cut out a pattern can be a little unorthodox. I need all the help I can get. 😂
Ahh so true!
I have just watched The Callisto cutting video.
The reaon i like them is because you explain the pattern pieces and discuss interfacings ect. Plus give ideas on colour. But most of all you have been making me laugh.. honestly i love that your just you in your home with all the everyday distractions ect... keep going .. love them ..x
Glad you like them!
I also enjoy your cutting and preparing videos because I glean so much information for example todays video you went into a lot of detail about interfacing.
I'm so glad!
Isn't cutting out bags ALWAYS chaos? It is for me. I start out all organized and then get a kick in the pants and find I am not as organized as I think! I love cutting videos - thank you for sharing!
It is always chaotic! Things are bound to change mid cutting but that’s what makes it fun!
Analysis paralysis. I get it all the time too. 😊 This bag will be gorgeous and I can’t wait to make my own.
Ahhh yes! Analysis paralysis!
Cutting interfacing vids never disappoint. Little jewels of info are usually shared and that’s great! After all no one knows it all. You keep it real, Nicole, and that’s the best. Sorta hanging with a likeminded sewing buddy. Informational, instructive n entertaining- what’s not to like?! BTW, how do you like the new heat-press now that you’ve used it some?
I love it so much! Definitely worth the investment!
You cut so fast. Takes me for flipping ever. Love the lining fabric. Thank you Melissa Martin for posting info on it. Looking forward to seeing you sew this beauty up.
This particular bag comes together so quick with cutting plus I’ve been making a ton of them so I have lots of recent practice!
Sew many creations also makes cork piping
Oh good to know!
I’m amazed that you can cut around your patterns so quickly!!! I’d be cutting off edges of the paper that way! I love all your explanations and your details.
Oh I do the unintentional shave of the paper too 😂
I love your cutting videos and the tips you give. Especially the one of cutting the lining 1/2" less.
Glad you like them!
Love your cutting videos. It amazes me that you can just fly around the pattern with your rotary cutter. I laminate my patterns, measure, trace, and cut using my ruler and I’m still always off 😂. 🐈⬛
Lol I unintentionally shave the pattern too, I have to reprint often 😂
I enjoy watching the cutting to see how other sewist layout and pickup little tidbits of info in the patterns. You designed the pattern and this gives some insight. I enjoy your ability to see beyond and alter the pattern.
Also you mentioned sewfuse+ then changed to woven fuse, which woven interfacing did you use?
Oh, I uses the sew fuse!
Not that print but natural nerd fabrics did some beautiful fungus fabric with coordinating magnets and pulls
Thanks for the info!
@SewGnar thankyou for the brilliant tutorials :) I really enjoy the cutting videos and watching your in the moment creative decisions.
Looking to learn to cut better with rotary cutters.
Lots of practice!
Could you please share where i would purchase woven fuse plus.
Beautiful pattern.
Castine Handcrafted!
Thank you.
Will you be offering acrylic templates for this pattern?
Eventually!
What thickness is your cork that you use please
I’m not sure but you can check on fabric funhouse, that’s where I buy it!
