the expiry date on the cex voucher isnt the concern, it is the ink on the receipt paper which will start to fade in a couple of years
Not really a problem as if you’ve scanned your card which if you sell to them you have to you voucher is saved on there. You can also take your card into any store ask them to scan it as your receipt is faded and they can print you another one.

I remember hearing about cex not accepting Steelbooks without the bbfx sticker..... So I saved a bunch and there in my J card storage box... Just in case.... 😁
CZcams is awful now. They remove your comment and tell you that if you keep commenting like this - nothing bad, they will suspend your ability to comment.
Ive bought steelbooks from them with no J card or ratings before.
Same with foreign releases.
They won't take them yet they sell photocopy cover full price, they could just photo copy bbfr age rating and sellotape it on ha ha
CEX do accept steelbooks without the BBFC on the steelbook as long as its on the disc its not an issue they tried this to me once and I asked to speak to the manager and the manager agreed with me and told the staff its fine to take them
I dare say some will but the law officially states they can't be sold that way so I get their point. I keep all my paper wraps and J-cards but if the stickers were the only ratings they're gone... but then again eBay is often better (if a lot more hassle) for steelbooks profit-wise anyway and you can get away with it as it's a private not commercial sale. Nowaday steelbooks are pretty much the only media worth putting on Ebay after _their_ fees, _PayPal_ fees and the cost of _postage_ (and _insurance_ to avoid scamming liars who'll claim the item never arrived).
Seems like a dumb reason. I just received a steelbook from Cex today and it didn’t have any certificates on it at all.
Hold on…since when? They whack a BBFC rating sticker on themselves😂 they also sell foreign region dvds/blurays🤔 one rule for one, one for the other😲

I just stick my old blu-rays in those charity bags you get through the post. I couldn't be arsed selling them for pennies.

My local CEX will take steelbooks without bbfc ratings on as they will stick stickers on which they should have. If they refuse to take them it’s because they haven’t any stickers left.
My store has a box of stickers for age ratings I traded in a steelbook with no age certificate

They can be really irritating about that sometimes they said they couldn’t take My A clockwork Orange steel book I challenged them and told them that they have stickers that they put on (which they do) and all of a sudden they can take it!
Surprised they gave you ninety pounds. You can buy 4 K 's for very little on e-bay, new, a few pounds, and the same on the place where you went today. CZcams keep removing my comments, sigh. Great time to collect but not for selling.
And yet you can still buy Steelbooks from cex with no J Card lol. You should have done giveaway's for those steelbooks, sure you would still get people entering.

You got a nice little voucher to spend there.
It makes sense for them not to taken them without the BBFC logo's. They can get fined big for selling an 18 to and underage person so i suppose it's a necessity.
They can get fined for commercially selling them without BBFC logos even to people old enough who proves they are over 18 and able to buy anything CeX sell; that's why (again officially) they shouldn't sell German releases etc. even if they hve their own country's ratings on. Of course some shop managers enforce this more strictly than others!
Next time you get a Steelbook with peal away sticker Paul, keep them safe and stick em on those Steelbooks…….ahhh I’ve been after Tora Tora Tora for a while 🧐 that’s a healthy amount on that voucher, nice one mate, take care👍😃👍
They wouldn't take a few region A 4ks either because of ratings... must be so hard to convert rated R to 18. Very stupid rule.
Blimey Paul we must be the same. I traded in ShawShank 4k too, but totally forgot to keep the slip 🙄.
I also tried to trade in Back to the future Blu ray trilogy but they wouldn’t accept it due to no age cert on it.

Just take those steelbooks to another cex branch Pauly. I work at CeX and we do accept them without bbfc logos on the outside, i imagine it's just an uniformed staff member being difficult
I can understand why CEX wouldn't take your steelbooks without the ratings on them. Nice total voucher credit though you might be waiting awhile to spend it all Pauly lol.
So that means they can't sell them without the stickers. Got to follow there own code of practice!
CEX are a bunch of hippocrites. They sent me the King Kong 2005 Steelbook and it didn't have the J card and also they said they can't take Imports due to no bbfc sticker and I've seen in people's videos that they sometimes sell them. So much inconsistencies with them.
If its cone from thier warehouse its fine but if its from the shop it nreds the bbfc
