It is a bit surprising to claim 2-3 steel GRNRs a day are being offered to LWC and yet only 10 or so have been available on Chrono for weeks? Where did all those watches go? Something doesn't add up.
Check again. I see 100+ listings for the 126710GRNR on Chrono
I’d bet those models on Chrono24 are to be sourced not in hand tbf
@@CommonSenseBodybuilding Around half a dozen or so have pictures/ are from known dealers. The others are not. None of it makes any sense to me!
Many of these "sellers" are just posting some pictures, they don't stock those watches, once you place the order, they can source the watch within 24 hours, Im in some groups
Any price above retail is not a discount. A discount is getting it below retail. The most I'm willing to pay is retail. I don't care about depreciation from retail.

@@wristopia4101 watches have a clear retail price. This is just racketeering. Rolex are mass-produced items - over 1,000,000 a year are produced. They aren’t hens teeth. There are plenty available.
Rolex AD’s are already discounting some models - wait until Q3 next year and they should all be readily available at a good discount, as they were pre pandemic.
i personally wouldnt, but there are some rolex models that you really dont have a choice if you want it. even with rolex adding temporary factories to increase production next year, i dont think you'll be able to walk into any rolex ad and pick up a daytona at retail. it'll be great for those looking for new datejusts, explorers, and maybe even subs though.
Im still seeing my two ADs playing the same game. NOWHERE near having inventory or selling anything below RP. We'll see if the tide is turning.

Rolex market is still fairly slow with the ADs. Picked up my Batman the other week after only waiting 2 months with my AD. Still hoping to get in the Panda Daytona this year from my AD.

Thanks for Sunday update Charlie. Unfortunately I have an asshole Rolex AD where they try push their jewelry to even be considered for requested piece. Rolex are aware of the abuse or blackmail by certain Rolex ADs. Unfortunately they turn blind eye. I have 3 Rolex watches over the years. Rolex in my opinion have tarnished their brand by arrogant and ungrateful customer service in past 3+ years. So I have bought other brands from Omega, Breguet and Patek.
I am in the Washington DC, and the AD's are doing the same here. I stopped visiting the showrooms.

Yet the Exhibition only Rolex has 30-40 watches at a time and I see certain pieces being rotated. I’m sure they have more inventory in the back too. I’ve asked for GMT II, Skydweller, Yachtmaster and Daytona either in Steel or precious metal. Now been almost 2 years and still nothing.
AD in Short hills Mall NJ treated me like a fool…that’s with $$$$ ready to buy.

@@alexandermatte9093 My prediction is that within a short timeframe (I can't predict a date), prices will normalize on the gray market where more Rolex watches will sell below RRP. The first sign of real normalization will be the Exhibition Only signs disappearing from more & more Rolex museums. The next sign will be premiums over list will keep dropping further until they eventually go below retail.
Rolex effectively promote the grey market through having to go through the stepping stone process to get the more desirable pieces. They know exactly what they are doing.
No AD gives a discount on rolex. They may sell you the undesirable watch, but not at a discount if they have other buyers lining up.
They do not have buyers lined up for PM watches . I am going to the AD on Monday for a platinum day date and I will come back to Charlie and all of you to tell you how much discount I will get!

Rolex won't allow a discount. IF, a very big IF, it's true and Rolex find out, the retailer concerned will rightly be a ex-dealer.
They did before the pandemic but only on the precious metal, back in the old days easily get 5-10% off but not on your stainless steel.

Got tired of the AD nonsense. I hope prices continue to come down, but I bought aDJ41 mint green jubilee on grey market. With my trade in, I saved on taxes, only payed $2500 over compared to RRP, and dont have to wonder or stop by the a AD anymore. Such a relief.
Others say don't buy above RRP. Whatever.... good luck waiting and wishing.

Not true buddy…..I got a 15% discount for a full yellow gold day date with champagne dial las5 week . UK northern dealer. To be fair premcovid the discount was 25%. We will get there again, don’t worry.

Omega is the third largest Swiss brand using 2023 data as reported by Morgan Stanley. Omega never allows it's ADs to discount. My point is 60-90 days ago several Omega ADs in the UK did offer 30% discounts. Capisce?
@@dannysimenauer5745 Omega is miles away and out of comparison for the Rolex market. Even in the biggest watch hype in 2022 they kept selling their watches below retail price. Numbers of sale have nothing to say. That‘s like saying Toyota is comparable to Mercedes because they sell a lot of cars.

C24 prices aren’t always an accurate representation of the market. Dealers often inflate the price to compensate for the selling fees 🙌🏻

My football friend who has a very impressive professional playing career beginning in 1988 waited 7 years for his Rolex Deep sea from the AD. I have been offered two watches in two years from AD’s I turned down both, as I purchased an unworn Rolex from the Grey market. Yes I paid over list, but excepted that as I was able to purchase what I wanted, when I wanted. No regrets. 🙏

I couldn't understand what was said about people being unwilling to buy the Bluesey for a profit. You mentioned a loss. Do you mean that although you sell it at a profit you offer sellers less than the AD's retail price?

How come you're talking about June discounts on the 30th June?
Someone should file a Class Action suit against Rolex & their ADs all over the world. And grey market dealers should be shut down for buying watches in bulk directly from ADs, maybe a lawyer here might be able to say on what clause, maybe cheating along with the ADs. Grey market dealers should be allowed to sell only watches older than 5 years or something. Waiting since 3 years to get a watch at retail and none. But available at 30% markup with the same ADs.

I’ve bought from Charlie - just difference in currency - no other fees for importing.

So there will be import duties and taxes which can range from 5-8% depending on your state 👍

I wouldn't trust anything this guy says about the steel GRNR - they haven't been successful in getting a single piece despite offering £14K for one in a previous episode. There are only 11 available in the UK on C24 and they seem to have leveled off in the market at the £16-£17K mark after the initial hype.

I have few watches in the past including Cartier Rolex datejust gold bezel also BLUE Z. I am holding my horses until the prices flattens. I went to Harrods they have quiet few collection of date just steel and gold at RETAIL prices. So guru mantra is to hold horses if not in rush
