I've never seen Ashley before this video, sshe clearly loves what she's doing. Like Ahsoka is now her biggest role, and it's just a character from a Star Wars TV show that has lived through so much of the franchise, it's just proof of her longevity. I like to think she goes to conventions as Ahsoka from Rebels using her real voice with the Lightsabers and everything, now and then she'd just use the proper Ahsoka voice and see everyone's reaction to it

Obviously, it's never going to be an exact fit - not even Eckstein would have been able to perfectly transfer the animated character to live-action - but I'm not going to knock the work that Dawson did, because I think she did fantastically.

Her normal voice is a little higher pitched than her Ahsoka voice, but I can hear the similarities.
This is 100% her young padawan voice.

Seeing how Ahsoka is like 50 years old in The Mandalorian, I don't see how Ashley could fit that role in live action, seeing how she doesn't even look like her. She is 100% the younger Ahsoka. Dawson fits the role of an aged and maturing Ahsoka perfectly, and is a very talented actress, and looks like her. To those that say she didn't do Ahsoka justice, are just plain fools, and not true Star Wars fans imo.
@crazytrain03 you're entitled to your opinion, but your applying earth aging standards to a sci-fi alien character. We don't know what a 45-yr old Togruta should look. Plus you're looking at this from the perspective of already seeing Rosario in live action. They never gave Ashley the chance. Ashley IS Ahsoka Tano, right down to the mannerisms. What was incredibly fake about the Dawson portrayal of the character was it didn't seem natural, especially the length of her montrals/lekku.
@@jeffburnham6611 You are entitled to your opinion, but the fact of the matter here, is that we have seen what a 40 year old Togruta looks like, Shaak Ti was 40 when she was killed, and she very much looked matured at that point...even though Togruta's that are in-tuned to the force, can live close to 200 years. Ahsoka was a baby...she is a woman now at 50, and needs the maturity looks to go along with it, Ashley doesn't have that(I'm not hating on her either saying that). She looks like a teenager irl and is like 5 foot tall.
Also, Dave has already discussed the reasoning behind the shorter montrals. It was done for filming reasons. Something that has and will never plague the animated part of Star Wars.

I watch Savvis work shop videos and I still feel tears of pride when I see the lightsabers light up for the first time. Seeing those who made them I feel the pride and the power

Those hilts are nice, but are way too thick for any real saberfighting + I guess the creators didn't calculate their central balance point to be at the emitter(although it can corrected by equipping with the right polycarbonate blade)
Well these can only use the officially licensed blades. If you want a set of Ahsoka "Rebels" style hilts that are screen accurate, you would need to get some from Vader's Vault, Evolution Arms, or KR Sabers (I'm pretty sure they all make them). These Disney licensed sabers are all much bigger than their on-screen counterparts and their sound boards are simple but they're also much cheaper than a custom version of the same hilt from a custom saber smith that would have multiple sound banks and a brighter neopixel or tri-cree blade.

There's something very beautiful about an actor whom is fan of something that many people love as Star wars and love been working in it really make improve his or her performance to the point that The public love their performance and love them. She, Dayse Riddle, and Felicity Jones are some of my favorites actress that have come to franchise.

@@seafaringneptune3573 I really don't like the way that Rey was written and I don't like many things of her and even she isn't my favorite Jedi/ Force user character , but she is one of my favorite female protagonist third to Ashoka and Padme , because of fantastic job of Dayse Riddle have done, in fact she is my favorite female actress of all Star wars franchise to date and I hope seen her in more good movies despite the fact that I dislike the TFA and I truly hate the TLJ and I fear for Ep.XI but not for Riddle work in Rey role but many things bad with trilogy. But you know something despite some attack that Dayse and Rey have received, she still display joy and pride in her work with SW enough to return to Force of Destiny. This is contrast with her predecessor Natalie Portman whom desire to distance from her role the franchise that many times in the many interviews has blame the franchise for hurting her career (blame more the fact that in that time the producers and director of more serious production have kind of taboo about those kind of fantasy, science fiction, blockbuster movie than today) , refuses to show This movie to her children because her "death scene". And has no desire to return to franchise in any way. I pretty sure that in 10 years you will not ear Daisy Riddle say something remotely close to Portman statement. Because this at least one should critics the way of the characters have been wrote but also support the actor work and more So if said actor is working hard and love his role in it as Daisy Riddle and Hayden Christiansen have done with franchise .

Not gonna lie, I don't really care if Ashley isn't the picture perfect replica of Ahsoka physically, I'd rather have her as live-action because she has the voice and the personality of Ahsoka to the T. If they ever need to film live-action Clone wars era Ahsoka for whatever reason, I genuinely hope they hire her to re-enact those scenes. She is the real Ahsoka through and through.
