- The Ram Rebel is an incredible truck! It's only available in the quad cab configuration but has optional 4x2 in the USA and is strictly 4x45 in Canada. With standard cloth/vinyl seats and option leather, the styling of the truck is impressive and available feature set had me loving what Ram is putting out.
In this video I go over everything that you need to know about the 2022 Ram Rebel!

Great walkthrough... No filler just info. Thank you
Appreciate that!
Bought a used 2019 Rebel in 2020 with 12k km. Came with extended warranty, tire package, moon roof, running boards, tonneau cover and linex box. At 101 k km now and still inlove with it. Best truck, I've owned and I've had many. Paid $43k. Think I'll keep it for a while. 😊
Great deal on the truck! How has the truck been so far? Run into any issues?
I counted 32 Literally’s, 🥃🥃 that’s 32 shots
Hahahah have one or two for me. I’m glad I was finally able to stop those ridiculous filler words in my newer videos
awesome detailed review! good job!
Thanks Jan!
Thanks for the great walkthrough.
You're welcome!
thanks & i m in love with this truck right now 😍❤️
Anytime! Agree with you there the Rebel has a great look!
Excellent video Steve! At the very end, yep, its not that easy as its seems.. :)
Thanks Peter! Hah, I'm really liking putting the bloopers in the videos. You should have heard the first time I tried to run through a Hyundai 🤦♂
I love my brand new 2024 Rebel
Nice! What truck did you upgrade from?
Ram Warlock 2020
Big of an upgrade there! What do you think of all the new tech?
@@CarsWithSteve amazing, I love all the new features
Great review, awesome job! Just traded-in my '20 1500 Sport for a '22 Rebel (identical to the one in the video), really enjoyed both this and your Uconnect 5 video
Thank you! I think they did a great job on the interior, you'll love the highlights. What trim level of the 1500 were you in for your 20?
@@CarsWithSteve My 2020 was a Sport (you could probably guess I'm also in Canada) - excellent truck all-around, but wanted something a bit "truckier" :) so went with the Rebel
@@flameredram1572 Always great running into fellow Canadians on here! Think you'll end up doing any off-road trekking with it?
@@CarsWithSteve Maybe once it's a couple of years old - don't wont to risk damaging a $70K truck offroading :)
@@flameredram1572 haha don't blame you for wanting to hold off on that! Hope you love the new ride when you get it
Loving my 2022 5.7 v8 rebel. 5k miles in and still madly in love. I got the e torque as well.
Nice! Always hear good things about that V8. Is it your first time owning a Ram?
@@CarsWithSteve oh yeah. From z71 to hemi. Won't go back!
haha hope the new ride treats you well!
Can I ask how much do you get it ?
Great video i may purchase one
Thanks Jacob! Think you’d go for a rebel trim too?
Just got this with the ecodiesel in 2wd for daily/boat tow. The JGC is the 5.7 4WD :) Just hope the bezels dont unglue like the trim interior and chrome did on the JGC due to the daily immense southern heat.
How are you liking the truck so far? I'd be curious how it holds up! If you remember... drop by the channel next summer and let me know how the bezels and chrome are holding up in that heat
You got an off road trim in 2wd. And eco diesel. I'm so sorry.
Another very thorough and cool video, Steve! Any chance you'll do a gv80 in the near future?
Thanks Jordan! Just waiting for the dealer to confirm a time to shoot - Genesis is a bit trickier because they don't have stock units, strictly test drive before they're sold as demos
@@CarsWithSteve absolutely makes sense and this shortage really is a bummer! Part of me is getting a bit of cold feet waiting for the nautilus to be built and LOVE the gv80 but not for the 20k premium haha
@@jordans9663 Hopefully more than just a fancier Palisade ;) and I'm sure that Nautilus will enter production soon enough. The convoy in Ottawa and US/Canada bridges held up auto parts suppliers so it'll take a bit for that backlog to be filled at the Oakville plant
Please let us know more about the 3.0 V6 in relation to the consumption. Thank you. Dr. Luis Amador
3.0L would be 21/29/24 (city/hwy/cmbd) in Rebel 1500 4x4
12 Inch Screen is Great. Only Way To Go
Agree with you there. At first when I started seeing these huge displays I didn’t like it.. but the more I see it across different brands the more I’m liking what the larger screen offers
I'll take the hard controls for the environmental stuff. Any day. All day. 8.4" screen is plenty.
@@kirbyspencer538 Agree 100% I want fast easy to operate controls for things like that.
Great video. Just Ram not Dodge ram. 🤔
Haha didn't catch that one when uploading. Not like the change by FCA happened in 2018 or anything 🙄
It stopped being dodge ram since 2009. I have an 08 ram and that was the last year for the dodge branding.
Please let us know about the consumption? Thank you. Dr. Luis Amador
I didn't realize I missed that in the edit until this comment! On the Rebel 1500 4x4 you're looking at 15 / 21 / 21 mpg (city/hwy/cmbd) for the 5.7L
Dodge no longer make Rams . Great video.. these trucks are great ..
Haha missed that in editing but good catch, cheers!
@@CarsWithSteve I hope you didn’t think i was an ass . I do like the video brother.👍
Nah not at all. Honestly, it's great when people notice small things like that. I improvise all my videos and don't always catch things in post when they're edited
Love it as long as no etorque
I've heard some mixed things about the eTorque system. What don't you like about it?
@@CarsWithSteve there has been a lot of recalls it stalls while your driving why whould I want it
I heard that about in the 2021 model but haven't seen anything in forums yet for the 2022 - 2024 models. Seems like it may have been fixed but I get the apprehension
what a beauty..too bad no ventilated seats had to be a deal breaker😩
Ugh I know right?! Can't have all the features in this trim but you can find those ventilated features in some of the higher ones!
@@CarsWithSteve upper trims with vent seats don't come in red over black two-tone ☹️
@@BB-vh7nd Katzkin seat covers would get you close to the look but I'm curious now if you'd actually be able to feel the ventilated seats if you went with them
So same as 2020. I'll stick with mine which I got for 47k
Not too many changes other than uConnect 5. Curious, how are you liking your 2020 Rebel? Any issues you’ve run into?
Thanks for your very informative comment! I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t know you had a 2 year old Rebel. Thanks for sharing the amount of KMs as well. So helpful lol!
New one for 47k?
How reliable is this tech and huge touch screen?? I had a 2016 doge Durango Citadel, highest too trim, and the tech in was not reliable at all. Sometimes it would blink off and glitch and a lot of times the navigation was totally not reliable. It wouldn’t pick up maps. I had to just turn it off and use my phone. How reliable is the Ram’s tech??
I've had a few people mention they've had some glitching but it seems to be a rare occurrence. An issue some owners are facing right now is not being able to update the factory maps (update should be here soon). You can always run Android Auto or Apple CarPlay if you run into problems with the factory nav option though
@@CarsWithSteve true on android/apple car play but I shouldn’t have to use something eles when I paid for it…the frustrating thing is usually Nav is not standard and you have to pay for it so it sucks to have to pay for something that you cannot use. Or pay for something and be forced to use an alternate due to unreliability.
@@kenna.9368 not saying that you have to use it, more that the option is there if you need to use it. There are only a small number of owners saying they're having issues and compared to the number of units sold I wouldn't be concerned.
Upgrades for most infotainment screens tend to take auto manufacturers longer than other industries. But as of right now the screens are still fully usable, it's just the map is a bit out of date
@@CarsWithSteve My 2019 rebel has an on, and off-center dash. Works for one day off another. 24,000 miles on the truck.
@@GordonLed oh that's odd. Has the dealer ever been able to diagnose? Any warranty replacement done yet?
Pls can you do an acura mdx type s pls
Waiting for confirmation from local dealers, it's on the list though!
@@CarsWithSteve thanks,
my aunt wants yo buy one but does not like the true touch interface
@@chibuzz4940 It's a good ride from what I've seen. I'll drop back to your comment when I have an idea of when the video will be out
Love the truck hate all the a la carte options and packages that drive the price almost to $90,000
Could always get it a bit more stripped down but there are people that love the extra options - same was as most trucks. The way this one was built the MSRP was $74K CDN
@@CarsWithSteve No, I rather it be well equipped. I'm speaking of why have so many options a la carte and then you have to tie it into a package and then a price just goes up why not just include it.
Even on the TRX there are so many options that make it almost $100,000.
I had a Avis lease Ram rebel I loved it but it didn't have all the features as yours as and it was two-wheel drive.
Good example heated seats, 5.7 non-etorque, and adjustable pedals. I love them they're nice however it didn't make sense that I didn't have remote start, intelligent access entryway, no collision breaking system or even adaptive cruise control.
I just feel that something should have been standard especially at that price point they were referring to starting around $62,000 and up.
However, overall I do love the truck and I've been looking for one, but I'm going to have to give up.
I want one so bad, buying a home is more important.
Great review by the way 😉
@@gsxellence Ohh good point. It's interesting seeing the difference in brands.. Ford trucks have hundreds of individual add on options but some base trim level packages that lump things together vs Ram where a lot of the options are just packaged together.
I'm finding pretty much any car is a bit of a challenge to find right now. Looking forward to when the supply issues are worked out! Haha I'm with you on the buying a home challenge - house prices in my area have gone nuts the past few years
@@CarsWithSteve lol yes indeed 😉
I’m seeing well equipped ones for 60-70.
It’s not a Dodge 🤪
