Interesting review of the movie. This story was created before fury Road was made as George Miller wanted to know the story of furiosa when doing that movie. So he basically used an idea he already had.
Seems like they are cashing in on the franchise. Really not fussed about this. Maybe a watch further down the rd but in no rush. The cast doesn't draw me in ☝️
Remember film makers like George Miller won't be around much longer and the quality that he and others like him bring will be a thing left in the wastelands. So I recommend being 100% in 👌🥰
Saw it yesterday at the BFI IMAX. It's okay, but I can't help, but be slightly disappointed. It feels a little bit too much like a "greatest hits compilation" with the references to the older films. Fury Road felt like George Miller was re-writing his own mythology, but this feels too much like a re-tread. I agree with you that it's too long and that some of the C.G.I looks poor... even video gamey at times. I liked Anna Taylor Joy (she has the right kind of haunted quality for the part) and I give Chris Hemsworth credit for doing something different from usual, though he's a bit too broad for the "intimate" conclusion to really pay off. It feels more episodic than other Mad Max films... it has some strong moments, usually in the details of the world (I wouldn't expect anything less from Miller) but other times it drags and as you said, feels repetitive.
@@ajsmovieplace Not in a "mad" rush😄 Didn't think much of Fury Road, havn't even got it on dvd I don't think. Didn't like anything about it. Love the 2nd max Road warrior film. Havn't seen thunderdome in years, keep meaning to pick it up. I think the points you raised about no tension, knowing who survives or doesn't is very true. Its a straight up woke cash in, with hemsworth being the eye candy for the ladies even with a big hooter😄 Honestly I have worse/better films i'd rather watch😉
Far too long runtime, not a fan of Chris Hemsworth, not for me this. I want some original films, instead of all the same old franchises being worked over. I'm so fed up of CGI, can't stand it.
Like I said. It’s much akin to thunder dome for me. Same reasons. Elements of the film I could watch as outstanding action sequences. And the other bits I’d be happy to skip over.
@@ajsmovieplace I said I did like the first 2 films Road Warrior is my favourite and the best one I didn't mind Fury Road but couldn't take to Tom Hardy as Max and I have zero interest in this pointless Furiosa film
Why have mad max tagged on and not call it furiosa ? I won't see it for a year so don't really care. That's £800 and counting at the vets which has made that a possibility.😢sky cinema premiere for me. That's if I can still afford to have even that.😂
Ah I see. Yeah Brodie as a puppy had a head tremor. It was day 13 into having insurance so couldn’t claim ( as 14 day window of no claiming ). Cost me £1200. And no answers ☝️ And to answer why have Max’s name on it - Brand recognition ☝️🤣
@@ajsmovieplace yeah we have insurance...my God if we didn't we had no choice and the vets know this .they play on your emotions. It's basically fraud. The food for dogs isn't regulated by law so the dog food companies put all kinds of shit in it and ensure the dog gets cancer and dies so you are forced to go again.... disgusting.

I think I like 70% of the film and a 30% I could fast forward through.

He mentioned thunderdome and we all check out😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣. What I mean. I structure it feels more akin to thunderdome
Loved it saw it last night. Almost as good as fury road
👍👍👍
Did you see it in imax ?
@@bigalanthewasp I did not. I’m not a fan of the IMAX format TBH
@@ajsmovieplace I wish I had seen it imax. Unfortunately there’s no imax screens anywhere near me
@bigalanthewasp That’s not good.
Hemsworth was great as the villain and anya Taylor joy was brilliant as furiosa
Yes they were. I was worried about Hemsworths casting. But he delivered

Give Hemsworth his due. He tries something different here
