Hol' up. Dutch mentions that Raw had some great cliffhanger moments, then specifically mentions two god awful cliffhangers that never got any payoff? The car blowing up that never got mentioned again and the Pillman gun angle that never got a blow off match or even an explanation of how Austin was fine the next week? Of all the... You know what, I don't even care enough to be mad about it.

MJF gets played by Adam and his boys. Comes back after months and tms up with Garcia just to turn on him. Wouldn't made more sense if he went after Adams crew instead of this wasted storyline. Horrible booker and writing.
Turned on by a mid carder who then disappears, he then loses his title to a 45 year old veteran who drops it to a mid carder, MJF then disappears and returns to turn on a mid carder.
They couldn't continue with it because Adam Cole is STILL injured and they can't hold it off forever, so TK pivoted

Dutch once again speaks truths. This "feud" does nothing positive for MJF's character. However, it does elevate Daniel Garcia. Maybe TK is thinking that MJF is so over that he can help build stars in AEW. 🤔

I wish aew would do the old 80s and 90s format of wrestling were you just cut 30-second promos and you have your matches and then work on a couple two or three major story lines for the pay-per-views not everything needs a backstory of why it's competition

And of course they had MJF explain why he turned on a Collision that was up against Money in the Bank, so pretty much everybody missed it.
One thing I still don't know is exactly how much responsability AEW wrestlers have over their own booking and the mess that that might be. I suppose it varies with individual wrestlers but I'd have to guess that in the case of the top guys and those personally close to Tony Khan it is quite significant. Or do some of them actually have official positions in AEW creative?
This reminds me of what the dcu has been to the MCU for years. Marvel took it's time telling all these different stories that mostly were great, building up to huge payoffs, while dcu basically rushed everything, releasing bad stories without any character development trying to play catch up.
Heres a couple a things they've missed. #1. On MJF's return promo a week before he essentially that he wasn't gonna be "Vulnerable " again like he was with Adam Cole ,because it Burned him,no more Bunny Hop ,no more Buddy-Buddy cause it hurt him. #2. In a Face to Face with Daniel García, García and Will Osprey BOTH UPSTAGED him in a segment and MJF stormed out of the ring (cause his ego was upset) and #3. He's picking on a lower card guy, like a BULLY and calling him a "Make-a-wish kid" from a Promo from Collision. 4. 50% of the fans have flat out HATED MJF's face run and have been wanting him to be a full on Heel again. This Heel Turn was NOT RANDOM, MJF Told us in Advance. All due respect, you guys haven't watched the show
I completely agree with Dutch. They've turned MJF heel WAY too early. I truly felt like he could've been one of the biggest babyfaces not just in AEW, but all of pro wrestling today. But Tony Khan decided to fuck it up & turn MJF heel once again.
This is one of the biggest reasons why I haven't been as big a fan of AEW since 2021 when Kenny Omega as the World Heavyweight Champion. Tony was cooking from 2019 till 2021. I'm sorry for saying this, but I'm starting to feel like he's slowly becoming more & more like Vince McMahon.
Garcia is so terrible at selling and emoting. He's just kind of there.
How many days did tony con khan take to deliberate over the kick in the nuts? There must have been 3 or 4 meetings between 10 or 12 employees of aew to discuss a guy getting kicked in the nuts..and tony wonders why hes losing money
The only thing I'm thinking is Swerve is a bit of a face now. It makes sense to turn MJF heel to put the strap on MJF or have a long program with Swerve and MJF.

He told CM Punk that he was a snake. Was it any surprise to anyone with this heel turn? He never was a face to begin with 😂 The guy is a master heel and a master in his craft.
It's panic booking. Pure and simple. Cagematch criticism of his booking of Swerve made Tony freak out and give him a win against Ospreay, which had a domino effect that saw him cook his main event title money match in Wembley. They have absolutely no idea any more.
I'm ok with the heel turn. MJF is a far superior heel than a face.
Don't forget that this was done because Will Ospreay was inexplicably in a heel faction with a heel manager and they turned Ospreay full babyface. TK has no understanding of wrestling psychology to be a self-proclaimed wrestling historian.
I still have no idea why Sasha Banks is now a heel.

He needs help booking. The difference between AEW and WWE is WWE has a 70 year headstart and it is in everyone's mind frame about WWE wrestling events. MJF is fueding with Will Osprey and Daniel Garcia is just a compliment who has been elevated.

I don't think Tony cares about storylines. He just seems to push feuds specific for the next big event, after that event, on to the next feud for the next PPV.
AEW needs to make more mid card stars..AEW was in Southaven, MS where I live, literally 5 minutes from my house and I did not go because I do not know anyone on the secondary shows. They need to do a better job at building the secondary show talent because the casual fan has no idea who they are.

I think Tony Kahn *thinks* Daniel Garcia is a big draw baby face, even though he's not. So in his mind he's getting a ton of heat on MJF. I don't agree with the mid card thing. They have people that are really good but the booking just sucks. And the thing about WWE, people have been saying it's the hottest they've ever been for awhile now, even if it's true you can't wait forever. IMO they dropped off a bit after wrestlemania, not that it's unusual

Turning MJF babyface was short sighted booking and killed everything that made MJF unique.
Regarding Garcia, it was clear that he was never intended to be MJFs opponent, he was the vehicle to get to Ospreay vs MJF.
100% agree. MJF's entire gimmick working was predicated on being heel 100% of the time and he worked on that for years to just ruin it because of a short sighted crappy AEW storyline.

I believe they are planning for the eventual return of Adam Cole. Adam has been through a lot, he deserves a big pop like MJF got.
They may battle, but I see them reuniting at some point as friends, mostly because they got the best crowd reaction.

I agree mjf should have never turned babyface but since they did it, let him operate few months as a babyface then slightly as tweener, have him involved in a big storyline involving high stakes Match where he comes out as a full blown heel.
