Cancel pride week . The govt must step in and stop this crap. Great to see parents fighting back.
Guess you never had someone who was gay or lesbian struggle with the mental health anguish of trying to conform. Pride normalises being gay. It shows acceptance. Why do you care (or like most extreme homophobes do you have queer feelings you are also grappling with?).
That's why they were voted in.
Its unfathomable that people want to cancel a group that are trying to protect children and keep them innocent as long as possible. People saying "kids have a right to be sexualised" are the ones we need to protect kids from!
Well done Penny. Great to hear of your fight. As a recently retired teacher, I fully endorse what you are doing and understand your concerns. What I do know, is that I couldn't be a teacher now. I'd likely be in front of the Sch Board due to refusing to teach certain aspects of the curriculum. May I encourage you to continue to blow your whistle in drawing attention to this woke behaviour....👍

I managed to get through my entire schooling without ever having sex education. It wasn’t considered a subject that schools taught their pupils but one that parents taught their children.
They want to teach our children about sex not to educate them on the subject but to indoctrinate them with their perversity.
Reverse discrimination. This is a clear breach of the Bill of Rights,
there shouldn't be such a thing as "pride week" in schools.

The pride community in Whanganui made threats to Brian Tamaki when he came to speak to a group recently. They were attempting to shut down any meeting he was having in the city. Fortunately for us, we had him speak in a private venue. Stuff reports implied that the mayor would have closed the meeting down if it had been held in a public venue. Is this what cancel culture does?? A group who have a very, very small following can now stop anyone from hiring a venue because they oppose their point of view??
Probably a good thing to block him. Tamiki preaches hatred. He causes all sort of psychological harm to people struggling with their sexuality and to conform to something they are not.
well, when Winston Peters pushes through his " freedom of expression bill " hopefully this sort of "cancel culture" will be less of a problem.

@@dudleydixon195 mari language is insignificant, the majority of enterprises, businesses etc around the world speak English as their primary or secondary language so it's beneficial to the student, what use are mari words beyond New Zealand, not much in the grander scheme of things.

Seems ridiculous. Without going into lots of details, libraries used to be places for all sorts of groups and voices. I really don't understand why it should be an issue to use a local space.
Government needs to do a research on really why other then lockdown happened why children dont attend school. All my mokos are so uncomfortable sitting in those classes.
My moko came home with a book full detail sexual content in the schools library. I called them and told the staff about it and how much of a concern it was.
The ideology if any needs to be removed from so called sex education as in the early 80's it was primarily about biology & how reproduction worked & was only available in 5th form i.e 15 y/o's. Anything regarding being gay or trans isn't a biology it is specifically a psychology issue & should be treated as such. That said it does exist so i guess the same sex side if things can be taught however the kids below high school even 13 y/o i'm not so sure this is a subject for them. That said 12 y/o's were active in the 80's & specific material from the red pill community would be appropriate at an earlier age i.e abstain,keep body count low, very low & use protection at all times. Males ought'a be taught not to settle & have a family in the early twenties to allow finances to accumulate which should be around age 30, this alone will aid in babies not being killed (look it up folks it's proven to work). Females should be taught having kids in their early twenties is best as waiting till after 30 is biologically a very bad idea due to fertility dropping off a cliff at that age. Don't believe it ? look it up, this was also taught in the sex ed class i attended in the 80's. Dr John Gray (men are from mars fame) also touches on the too many partners issue for both males & females. One last shout out to Rollo Tomassi & Corey Wayne books. Although not as well known as John they are just as important to improving societies as a whole. These 3 men's work should be taught compared to the shite i learned in school the world would be a better place.

Free speech union was founded by Jordan Williams (tax payers union) not politicians and was formed as a response to the auckland council opposing this guys from canada back in 2019.
