      @@faascencio I think it will work if you get the harness from a 2014. I haven’t gotten it because I did not used them at all before swapping the steering wheel. If you got the money, I would suggest you to replace it it looks so much better.

    Great video! How did you re-attach those two metal brackets you took off and repainted in the rear?

      Kind of hard to explain but I think I ended up just either flipping them or turning 180 degrees and they lined up nicely and then attached with some stainless steel hardware. Been awhile so I'm not 100%

    I may be seeing things, and I could also be wrong.... but that looks like some Dragonlance (Dragons of xxxxxxxx Series) and Forgotten Realms (Drizzt Do'Urden series)? From maybe the early 2000s release? Awesome video, VERY helpful as is your Dobinson snorkel install video, bookmarked for next month or April when I do my own. Would it be more efficient to do the CMC at the same time as trimming the fenders?

      Ha ha oh yeah I've read tons of the Forgotten Realms books. Doing the CMC at the same time probably wouldn't really make much of a difference as far as efficiency goes ... but it could be useful since you are already in the cutting/chopping mood.

    Wow....much braver than me....question for all Holics....I have a Gen 2 with only one key, ignition and door. Does the same key supposed to work for the tailgate or is that a separate key? Thanks all

      The 2nd Gens did not have a locking tailgate option, but if you add something like the PopNLock then you can code it to your ignition key.

      @@Tacomaholic My 2014 definitely has a key lock on tailgate with backup camera. I did buy it used so I am not sure if previous oner had a key or the ignition key worked....which doesn't really fit. Or maybe I am looking at a PopNLock....

    The bigger tyres are looking good. How do you think they will handle snow? I'm running nitto Ridge grapplers and they are great off road and on road... But not very snow friendly.

      I just removed the entire factory fender liner.

      @@downsouthsquonks4020 Just easier that way. You can trim (or heat with a heat gun to mold it out of the way) but it's a pain.

      @@downsouthsquonks4020 You could reroute the intake to the windshield cowl. That's a popular mod for guys who don't want to add a snorkel.

      @@Tacomaholic That cool man. They have always fascinated me just cant get over the fear. Last year on my way back from hunting in early October I must have seen 30 maybe more lost count of them. Every couple miles there would be one or 2 crossing the the road.

    Did you have to modify any part of the firewall like hammer the pinch welds? I have similar UCAs as you and every other video of those running 35s, are using JBA or SPC..I assume they aren’t rubbing on their either?

      Yeah I hammered the pinch weld flat for 33s and lightly hammered parts of the upper fenderwell for the 35s. I have a 1" body lift which helped alot with the rubbing.

    is there a way to cut inside the cab to the bed? I've never seen this done before and it would be awesome to have access to the cab from the bed of the truck.

    The reason I don't like a Dremel Tool for a job like this is because it leaves behind a trail of gobs of melted plastic. I probably would have done this on a bandsaw.

    If you would've done 3 inches, would that have cut off the bottom mounting hole for the fender? I don't have a body lift or planning on getting one and I am thinking of doing 3 inches and tackling it this weekend (10/24/20). Also, I think that's why it looks like in your video you didn't do the complete 2 inches towards the bottom of the front fenders, right?

      3" seems to be the norm when other guys cut there fenders but I'm not sure if it would get rid of that mounting hole.

    Brian can you please tell me when jacking up the front how do you keep the Billett UCAS from hitting your remote reservoir hoses? Is there a way I can jack up the front of my Tacoma without making the front suspension go to full droop? Thanks man

      Greetings! The suspension is always going to droop when the front tires are jacked off the ground. You might be able to adjust how you have your reservoir mounted though (probably by moving it closer to the UCA) so the hose won't make contact.

      I can't remember what was there from the factory but most, if not all, of the factory bracing didn't work after trimming that much out of the fenders.

      Tacomaholic i would of send that truck right back soon as i found out and made them do it right. Doesnt matter if you planned in keeping the flares forever or not
