  • Never underestimate your safety when operating a vehicle. This poor guy is very lucky he only got a few cuts and bruises when he fell out of his car and the car reversed over his leg. Just when he thought that was bad enough the car then reversed into a post pushing his lift into the back hatch of the car destroying the lift, the hatch and the glass. Not a good day!!!

My AL-100 platform is now bent. When lowering my scooter the left side reaches the ground first. My truck was down for a year, soon as I began using this new lift the platform bent and looked warped. I have a Pride ZT10 that has two motors on the scooter why it can turn sharp on a dime and have four wheels. The ZT10 total weight is 250 pounds, which sounds fine below the weight limit, but the problem is the majority of the weight is the two motors in the back of the scooter, so way more weight on the left side where the AL100 warped. But paying $3,100 for this lift I am upset. No vehicle hit it, I added brakes and turn lights to the lift keep people back further. I can park the scooter on the AL100 opposite make the lift warp the other way or catch it when it is back level, then have a fabrication shop strengthen the lift with more cross members, but a customer should not have to do that.

Have you reached out to the place that installed the lift or to Harmar?

Yes, I received a call back from out of state but not from the installation shop yet.@@lasvegasscooterslifts

I'm not sure why you reached out to me with your complaints as we are not Harmar or the installation company, but I do understand you must be just venting or frustrated.
Your best bet is not to modify the lift in any way as this could be a concern with regards any warranty or Harmar and or the installation company rectifying the problem for you. If you had the lift installed by a Harmar dealer, then they should have done the install correctly. If it was done by a third-party installer i.e. mechanic or U-Haul and such it might not have been installed it correctly (I can't see the lift to verify this) I would go back to the point of purchase rather than venting here and taking matters into your own hands.
      All the best, good luck.
