“You can never have too many tools”. Amen brother! Thanks for the tour!
thanks for watching scott!
lifetime warranty on mastercraft so for the money its the best bet, been using them for 10 years, also easy wrench to throw and lose an not care. nice set up
Fawk yea buddy salt truck fleet life. Mastercraft no cry lost wrenches. 🍻. Never tell ct you’re a professional because they won’t warranty the tool. Get fucked ct.
@@mikemuzzell5167 You're elevator doesn't make the top floor very often does it...
@@ShainAndrews nah I take the stairs. It takes forever. Airs to thin.
This is the guy I want showing up. Smart kid. Good for him.
Mechanics time saver makes those trays for snap on for anyone wondering and doesn’t want to pay the snap on price
Harbor Freight makes them as well.
Very neat and well thought out service truck! I know you deserve a bigger and better truck but you’ll get it soon enough. Still a nice truck and i bet it makes you a lot of money! Keep it the hell up!
Always gotta save on the 349E airfilters for emergency use 😂
Nice dude! That dude seems humble af
I will definitely keep the air filter in mind. 😂
Let us know how it goes lol
Let me know of you need some big filters😂
Snap on set is actually 900 up to 1inch lol
Gotta do more truck tours love the work !
I dont get the "your tools are cheap youre a bad mechanic" people, if the 10$ ratchet gets the same shit done as the 100$ then why bother paying more just to have a fancy logo.
Just cause youre owning the snap on man half of your monthly paycheck doesnt make you a good machanic. At the end of the day your the one turnig the wrenches.
Nice truck.
The idea for the engraver is smart. Imma buy one now
Let us know how you like it Matt
Sunex makes excellent tools. My large impact sockets are Sunex and they’ve never let me down in the 8 years I’ve had them.
Nice man I'm a 3rd year apprentice, my toolbox has a lot of the same stuff as you. I just need to get some more air tools and an impact wrench. Thanks for the tour.
I find truck tours interesting. Thx for sharing. Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
You’re doing good, you don’t need Snap-On. Truck is really nice, good setup.
Awesome truck and setup, thanks for the tour
Thanks for watching! We'll have more truck tours on the way.
Welcome to the channel! Great video!
Hey Terry, just wanted to say that we appreciate you always commenting. We love seeing you in the comments and we always look forward to them.
Great service truck tour nice setup 👍👍
Glad you liked it, more videos with Evan coming soon.
The organizer is 120. I bought two this year.
Great video guys!
Thanks so much!
I just retired diesel mechanic/ heavy equipment 42 years with 6 Army 63 bravo. What do I do with all my Snapon tools lol. Hood luck all you you g mechanics. Pap will be at the cabin
"Tuning" 😉
I'm currently working out of a General Truck Body, definitely have their pros and cons...
Nice video, thanks for sharing. My service truck is smaller and no crane, but I understand there is never enough space! What kind of cordless tools do you use, I have Milwaukee.
Running the same set of Professional Series Mastercraft wrenches I bought in 1998 when I started at trade school. Fuck all wrong with them.
Than another 800 for jumbos lol
Good Rig mate what’s the GVM on that weapon ? I am wanting to set up a Ram 2500/3500 down under in Australia. No one here is set up like you fellas 🤙🏼
Nice set up ! how much does a truck like that cost.
Good video. I also am running a preowned 2011 4x4 ford f550. Maintainer body w/ crane, van air hydraulic compressor. I don’t pack my welder, got it on a trailer at home if I need welding, I'm a buncher operator. I’m curious about what you are running for tires and what you’ve had good luck with. I’m over weight like everybody else running a f550. Been running Hercules 245R70/19.5. Had good luck with the first couple of sets but this last one dynamited way too soon. I’m on rock 80% of the time, in four wheel drive, drive slow, rotate every 5K, check pressure. I have been running 105 psi in the rears and 95 in the front going off the sticker on the door post. Found out that was wrong as that table is for the stock 225’s. Going to try 85 front and 95 rear after talking with the Hercules rep. Long post I know but if you have a chance I would be interested in what’s working for you. Be safe!
love the shit in an air filter
Why do you guys run your cranes on the left side of the truck just curious. Here in the states it's more common to mount the crane on the right side of the truck.
running on hopes and dreams evan lol
🔥🔥
Hey there! I am a first-year HD apprentice in look for work!
I currently live in Calgary AB, will be attending SAIT, and will be ready to start work in the second week of February.
If anyone knows of someone willing to take on an apprentice it would be greatly appreciated.
Please send me a DM and I will share my information.
Thank you guys!
Autocrane is a cheaper version of the maintainer beds.
Would you look at that. A deleted work truck running and breathing. Almost like it’s meant to be
Why did you put your vise on the tail gate.
So, does Tekamo basically use contract mechanics? Do they have their own techs too?
happy to see I'm not the only one using crappy tire wrenches hahaha!
A tool that makes you money is a good tool!
How is the pay as HET
Ya bro I got snapons standard 5/16 to 1 1/8 some stubby and 4 ways it was way expensive but in also in a shop so when I did field work I never had real expensive stuff they take so much more abuse
im interested on where to find an engraver and 12-24v jumper module like what you have
Are you connected to the same internet the rest of us are?
"So basically, i hate just about every section on this service body"
Come on man, its not that bad, theres plenty of space, you just need to organize it to suit you better. Ive worked with setups easily half the size but also smaller machines. But still....
What is the part number of the big xxl knipex , anybody know ?
Yup. Took maybe 15-20 seconds to find it.
Question:Any hydraulic gauges you recommended?
Parker Service Jr. hold up well if you can afford them. Keep eye out for used master sets of Tifco brand. The gauges break easy but there fittings and adapters are great.
I see trucks like these at auctions, and I have always wanted one, but worry that if the mechanic couldn't keep it/take care of it, he might not have been a good mechanic and I would inherit all his jerry-rig fixes / tough dog troubleshooting headaches. I'm not a mechanic by trade.
How much do these trucks for new and used ? For guys who wanna work as subcontractors in the field.
The new and used prices are about the same now. The size of crane is where the money is.
How does someone get into the heavy mechanics trade, Would I just have to find someone willing to sponsor me or is school mandatory first?
Hey Mike, check out this video we made on the topic: czcams.com/video/3zrg1Th4Ruw/video.html
If you have any specific questions or anything was left unanswered, let us know and we'll make a follow up piece for you. Good luck with your journey into heavy duty.
@@TekamoHD Thanks, this channel is a great resource and Its awesome to get a look into what goes on out in the field. Im currently a level 1 apprentice for regular light vehicles but I think Im going to start calling around and showing up at shops.
Why's the crane on the left side?
Why not
@@TekamoHD I was just curious if there was any advantage to having it on the left side instead of the right.
It’s not anyone of these guys faults, but I compare all these guys to Cam. Lol
Never heard anyone call it dunnage. Always heard it called cribbing
I might be wrong here, but I think your not a fan of that truck?
Most of the tools Snap-On sells is not needed, so why buy all that junk?.
