- The diesel particulate filter (DPF) helps reduce the emissions from your diesel engine by catching all of those pesky soot particles before they enter into our atmosphere. But we often see a lot of excavators throwing errors because they’re not an efficient system. So quite often your excavator regen stops working when the filters get clogged.
If you're having trouble with your Volvo E340 excavator and the diesel particulate filter is causing problems, don't worry - we can help! In this video, we look into the active codes in this machine and investigate the problem to get it running like new again.

Cam's a CZcams natural.
I did not expect to see you here lol
It's a small world 🤣
Damn, now it's a party.......
The impact is doing the weird light thing because of the chrome socket. If it was an impact socket it wouldn’t. It’s socket sensitive.
You should do a video about going independent. I’ve been contemplating it for years but afraid of the surprises right away and trying to find work starting out
“It’s hard to know everything, so I choose to know nothing” - I’d buy a shirt of that. Or maybe I’ll make one, if I only knew how. Like the videos guys. Thanks.
I actually worked on a machine that didn’t have a seventh injector for the dpf filter it used the exhaust stroke to push diesel into the dpf and when they deleted the machine it lasted about a week and melted three pistons. I’d like to see you talk about emissions systems and why they actually are on the engines
what machine?
@@JerichoRallyIsuzu uses this method among others. Quite a few euro and jap brands in general
Great job I always admire your work...... I love your work ethics.......
Keep on wrenchin man pleas more heavy equipment 👍👍

Another dose of the Camster!
LOL i have a 2014 Volvo EC220dl with 6500 hours having the same problems. I love this channel
Haha thanks for watchin' man. Follow up episode on this is being worked on right now so keep an eye out.
Another great video
Hey from an AG field tech in nova scotia
You have to adjust the prongs on the battery. Pull them out a little and it should fix it.
I will totally put up a calendar in my shop. Texas centrifuge technician.
The coffee sticker on the back of the phone..lol. 🇨🇦
Haha thanks for watching man!
You need the Volvo service software makes things so much easier on newer equipment.
Diagnostic port under the radio. It's hidden under a plastic cover just right of the power port
Reason that impact is doing that is the battery contact. Look at your batterys and pull the prongs out so they make better contact. Milwaukees new battery is suppose to resolve the issue
Check the battery Contacts pull them out. Had the same issue
I’m sure Ave is underwhelmed by all us dewclaws lol
The spark plug set up is called an ARD head on CAT T4 final machines
Thank you for entertaining and sharing, good video 👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Patiently waiting for Milwaukee to comment on one of these😂
The mechanics vernacular is music to my ears
Great video as usual guys. How about a t shirt with one of Cams funny statements..
Hey Terry what's your favorite line from Cam
@@TekamoHD "Give 'er a shot in the mouth" has got to be the best recent one haha

would buy a calendar
the voices in my head sometimes tell me to fix things lololol
What's going on at that of end Canada? That looks unacceptably cold for this time of year
check at next stop i just ate. lmfao hahahahahahaha
The newer Volvos went away from the spark plug set up. Truck and equipment side thankfully
howd I lose it....long story, blood everywhere 🤣
Tekamo truck/bikini calendar
a possible solution to a dpf issue is on a volvo is to delete it. thats a repair you'll never have to do again
I just ate.. lmao
How about a link for the fat light
Here ya go Bart. If you use our link it supports the channel! Updated the description as well amzn.to/3cQJYYh

I'm going to break out on my own here soon just the price of trucks is insane!
It's 100 degrees (37c) where I'm at. Where the hell is he that it's cold?
I forgot my kids bday caue work on too many different makes and models 🤷♂️
If you gonna work on alot volvos, you will need volvo tech tool and prosis!!
Absolutely agree!!
The best solution is to rip out the system, or buy an older one without these emission "reducers"
Bruh what is up with the bots
For real
Easy fix get rid of dpf re code it
Some cat machines use Soot sensors to monitor DPF load, not all systems use diff pressure sensor.
its those cheap batteries!! smack em on the base of battery in towrds tool and itll quit blinking and work
The unnecessary censoring😂😂😂😂
You pulled that filter for no reason. You didn't even run it to see what the differential pressure was.
Another independent guy fail. Let the dealers take care of stuff you don't know what doing.
Go pound sand.
“You don’t know what doing”. durrr durrr durrr not going to the dealer if you work there pal
I was wondering how he came to the conclusion that’s it a plugged DPF. He spent 30 minutes talking about the differential pressure sensor and removing it the. He just skips to pulling the DPF. Chances are high that at 6k hours it probably is a DPF but his troubleshooting process is questionable.
If your Milwaukee has that flash pattern, remove battery, there’s a pin/tab/connector on the battery that’s for the sensor. Pull the pin/tab/connector out with a small screw driver on the battery. Clean the battery connectors with electrical parts cleaner.
