@@joshuawilliams9020 Yes fire is great but my only concern is you might burn down everything in a process lol. Like in defensive situation especially against xenomorph since they are smart and adapt. By all means you can still kill them and get the jump on them. But what if just ends in comedic moment where you chase the xenos all round the base and they just decide killing humans isn't worth at this point and escape. Then having to explain to your co why burned half the base down and it was night time and everyone else awoke to fire alarms going off. Like I know 99 percent the time the aliens would die and wouldn't be funny like this. But Aliens universe was to have and comedic moments in it this would be one lol. I am probably being a buzz kill that way but some how I could just a benny hill moment chasing a xenomoroph or morphs lol. I guess to because I saw Robot Chicken parody of the 2 xenos murdering the 3rd and falls through multiple floors and lands in xeno town and more xenos try to lift the injured one on stretcher to an ambulance only to fall through again lol. I know aliens is suppose to be a dark and sinister universe but it needs some funny moments from time to time lol.

The fact that the flood gets smarter as it consumes more biomass and it starts to remember older knowledge makes it much more deadly than SCP610
The later section of 610 talked about it evolving.
We know far more about the flood than we do about 610.
The flood appear to have the infectivity advantage.

Flood isn't like a virus though, it acts more like a bacteria. In fact, it probably isn't a single celled organism at all, because of the hive mind ness.

Not only was there lore when Halo 1 released, but there was also lore BEFORE it released.

2) The ability to "take out" a species is not at all an indicator on whether or not a species can form a symbiotic relationship. A crocodile can easily take out a plover bird if it wanted, but those two Species formed a symbiotic relationship.
3) You're assuming way too much. I could just as easily say that the Flood wouldn't be able to infect or consume 610, so either leaving it alone or forming a symbiotic (Or even parasitic) relationship would be preferable.
Don't forget that SCP 610 is a manifestation of the God of flesh Yaldaboath, one of the most powerful of the lower elder gods that battled Mechane at the start of creation. The power of the Flood cannat even begin to rival the power of the god that 610 represents

Hard to say. SCP is inherently horror. Part of that horror is sinply being an unknown quantity. We don't have concrete evidence about its strengths or weaknesses, or even if it can infect an already infected host. All SCP spin off is canon, making any fact, speculation at best.
The flood however is Sci-fi, and that is explained to an onsane detail to make it as believable as possible, if only in the confines of its own universe.
How can you truly tell the victor in a competition between something you know too much about against somthing you know nothing of?
Maybe because the precursors believed the only way to stop the flood was to wipe out all life with halo weapons? The flood retains memories from its victims and grows smarter the larger it gets. Plus your basically fighting zombies who happen to use guns, vehicles, ships, and can convert large spacefaring vessals into breeding grounds of millions without destroying the ship
Hyperfoxeye yeah but 610 comes from a flesh god that transcends anything mortal. The flesh doesnt have higher intelligence either. It acts upon the will of the flesh god. The flood are fairly mortal and have been defeated on several occasions. There arent any examples of 610 being beaten much less shown that there is any effective method of fighting them. Were talking about fairly similar things but the difference is that they are controlled by a god and the other a quasi god.

Flood have the will to negotiate, even for temporary goals, like teaming up to finish off the prophet of truth. They can plan strategically and can operate the ships they infect. I think in a circumstance of limited numbers, flood can operate better to meet their goals.
Hyperfoxeye sure they can operate better but versus 610 which has connections to an actual transient being that they cant truly be infected by the flood makes them arguably more powerful. Flood must infect host with central nervous systems to be effective and there are examples of 610 not needing a nervous system and not needing a host to have one. The only requirement would be that the host has “flesh” which the flood do have flesh but thats where there is a large gray area. Can a virulent flesh disease created by a god take over a host that is occupied by a very similar virulent disease.

Does the god of flesh's realm extend to the flesh of a universe it never created? Either way, including the god makes it more like its the Flood vs a god., rather than the swarm of the Flood vs the swarm of SCP. For the sake of comparison, it is almost incompatable to compare a universe with active gods vs a godless (at least inactive) one.

I would like to see the Replicators in an episode but this is not even really debatable (especially if you take Star Wars universe during the time of imperial rule). Replicators are like a machine version of the flood. If you add human-form Replicators it gets even worse for the opponent.

Especially force users might be VERY useful against them, so it is not as OP as it looks at the first glance. You'd probably have to sacrifice planet or a million, but having their normal means of taking a ship - boarding party taken away, since Jedi know where the damn robots are, most heavy battleships are safe. And they can safeguard the most important Hyperspace routes, and scan for the robots. They can even increase in density once they are near the systems that are occupied by replicators (like epidemiology says). They could lose, unless they pull a manouver and jump into Hyperspace randomly. THIS STUFF WRITES ITSELF!

Actually, the flood would win right off the bat with how aggressive and efficient their spread is. Something he didn't consider in the video is that an infection form can infect any sentient organism as long as they have enough mass or intellect (preferably both), meaning that the flood can even infect SCP 610 _itself_ by swarming its numbers with countless infection forms and flood spores. TBH its not about scale since the flood spreads WAAAAAAY faster then 610 and can transform biomass in mere seconds upon contact.
Also since the Flood have _beyond_ superior intelligence to 610 they would be able to form a strategy against it rather easily with how linear and inefficient the virus operates in comparison (for example they could take out all the forms of 610 above with infection and pure forms above ground while literally "flooding" the underground with infection forms and microscopic flood spores to finish the job), not to mention the fact that the flood can use the weapons and technology of whatever species they take over, meaning they could even use flamethrowers or other weapons to destroy 610.
And don't get me started on if they have a planetary sized Keymind in their ranks commanding them.

Flood, I'm sorry. the flood is all consuming Eldritch Horror, that just eats and eats.
But that really depends on the SCP 610 as well.
Like with a lot of these infection oriented match ups, it all depends on whether or not one could infect the other. If you dropped a sample of 610 and a Flood Spore on the same planet, the Flood would win out if it was an even playing field, but if 610 could infect the Flood, and was in turn immune to the Flood, then it could actually stand a chance. It would still depend on whether it could establish its self thoroughly before the Flood could make a concerted effort to wipe it out, however, so even then it isn't a sure bet.

@@paulmackenan6043 ecks addressed in the video that other scps have tried to form a link with 610, however 610 has no correlation with them cuz it came first and hasn't been edited regardless of anything, and plus the flood come from the Precursors which were also godly beings that were around even before the creation of the universe
@Will Fryer 2 Tbh, flood are intelligent enough to identify the threat. Depending on how large their presence is, if it's from a single star then that could still jeopardize a galactic size flood, though star roads could bend the light from the star. The flood might suffer some losses, but eventually it can develop a plan to blow up the star while covering their exposure with ships, metal or some other space faring structure. Remember the photons have to hit you, but if you're in a space ship without windows, just cameras then you can avoid all the harm done by scp001 when day breaks.
At a larger scale I think the flood would be intelligent enough to devise such a strategy, and to rupture the star.

Depends if either one has or can quickly gain immunity over the other. If the flood has no means of protecting it's self from being infected by 610, then all the flood would do is increase the food supply of 610, or the other way around.

@@internetzenmaster8952 In Arthur Morgans defense, the Flood has never lost one time on this channel, only coming close by having a 50/50 chance with the Blacklight Virus having super beings, but that's it, every other time was a practical stomp. The only exception being maybe the Tyranids, who won in some situations but lost in others, which many people definitely disagreed with.

I have to agree with the points in this video. SCP-610 isn't as sophisticated as the Flood, nor is it capable of spaceflight. Though it does make for a fascinating read. 610 is one of my favorite SCPs, and I highly recommend it for people new to the universe.

Yet the plague kills its host and then basically restarts the host and adjusts the host in certain ways. The flood needs a nervous system to infect someone, yet 008 only needs a living being to infect, basically a virus. So 008 would infect he flood without a problem, and the flood would be unable to do anything to it or its zombies because the zombies don't have a functional nervous system.
